Javert 5720 Popular Post Share Posted September 4, 2021 Forever Standing The words of his House repeated themselves in his mind as he returned home to Reinmar from the streets of Karosgrad, the bridge creaking under Henry’s armored boots as he approached the place his family had called home for nearly twenty years now. As the old man walked, his mind began to wander to all his past memories. They all came back to him again as if his life was flashing before his eyes, and then he felt it. Th-thump “****!” Henry clutched his chest as he went to grab the railing of the boardwalk, recognizing the sharp pain that pierced his chest out of seemingly nowhere. As he tried his best to keep walking, the pain only sharpened more and his breathing began to fall short. Th-thump “Ngh...nicht now! Sheisse!” The Reinmaren stopped in his tracks and fell to one knee, trying to steady his breathing. As his hoarse breathing became worse and worse, Henry’s memories all flooded back to him like a broken dam in the river. Th-thump “I’m not coming home.” said Maya as the two looked at each other in the rainy streets of Karosgrad, Henry felt his heart shattering at his Daughter’s words as she turned and ran into the Haeseni night. Th-thump “Will du marry me, Victoria Sawer?” Henry held out the ring towards his wife as he knelt before her, Victoria’s eyes lighting up as they slowly filled with tears as the pair embraced. “Yes, Yes! I’ll marry you Henry Bishop!” Th-thump “Easy, Son. Loosen dur grip just ein bit” Henry spoke out to Erwin as he took a defensive formation with his wooden training sword “Ich think Ich got it…” Erwin said as the two began to spar for a bit. After a brief back and forth, Erwin struck Henry across his armored chestplate and lifted his arms up “Haha! Ich win dad!” Th-thump Henry snapped back into reality, his world seeming to swirl around as he collapsed onto his back. "Agh..." the man muttered out as his reality changed a final time as his children all stood before him. “Erwin...Maya...August...Friedrich…” “Mein Children…Mein Wife...” “Mein Family…” Th-thump. [!] Word quickly spread around Sedan and Haense of Henry’s demise, and in private, several letters are dispatched to friends and family of Henry Bishop. To Carlos Mendez, (@ArizonaRanger) Spoiler "My old Hyspian friend, we have had our differences at times, but nonetheless I want you to know that our friendship has always been dear to me. You truly are a good person, and I wish you nothing but the best as I pass on from this world. I hope we shall meet again in the Seven Skies many years from now, but until then, farewell." To Friedrich Barclay, (@ColdestPepsi) Spoiler "GOD knows how thankful I was when you took me and my wife in. While we may not have spoken much during our later years, I want you to know my respect and admiration for you has never faded. I was honored to serve under you as Lord Marshal, and I am honored to have my family serve yours. Farewell my old friend, may we one day meet in the Seven Skies." To Her Serene Highness, Petra Emma, (@sarahbarah) Spoiler "It saddens me greatly that I leave this world too soon to see you raise a happy family of your own, but I know that GOD willing I will be watching over you from the Seven Skies. Though now that I depart know this, you have always been a special person to me. I saw you grow up from when you were just a girl of five to a woman of her twenties. Farewell Petra, I will be sure to tell your Mother hello when I meet her in the Seven Skies." To Ser Reinhardt Barclay, Spoiler "GOD, the words I wish to say to you are too long to put in this letter now. You, my boy, have made me incredibly proud. You have carried on your Father's legacy and I am certain he smiles upon you now as I do. I know just by looking at you now that you are destined to have your name emboldened in the history books alongside your famous ancestors from which you descend from. Nonetheless, I am saddened that I will not be there to see your little child grow up to be a man, but still I shall watch from the Seven Skies. Goodbye Reinhardt, you were always like a Son to me." To Adrianna Barclay, (@CopOwl) Spoiler "I am so sorry sweet Anna, that I was not there to see you become the beautiful woman you no doubt will become. Though you may not be my blood, in my eyes you were nothing short of my Daughter. I wish I had more time to prove this so, but I am afraid that will not happen now. But fear not dear Anna, for I will be smiling down upon you in the Seven Skies right next to your Father, Cedric Barclay. He and I shall toast to the wonderful woman you have grown to be, and will celebrate your life's achievements with you every step of the way. Oh, and tell Charles he best be a good father. Farewell for now, Anna." To Luka and Petyr Bishop, (@Timer@ArizonaRanger) Spoiler "There are no words that one can muster that can explain how much guilt and regret I harbor in my heart for what happened between us. Both of you have had clause to despise me, and while I don't expect forgiveness even in death, I just wish for you both to know that had I the chance to change the past to amend the wrongdoings, I would take it in a heartbeat. May GOD judge me for my Sins." To my beautiful Wife, Spoiler "My heart aches to leave you so soon, for only GOD knows how much I truly loved you within my very soul. You gave me peace, you gave me four beautiful children, and you gave me love when I needed it most. You are one of the reasons I kept on for as long as I did. For that, my beloved Victoria, I am forever grateful. My only regret is that in my final hours, you were not by my side so I may look upon your shining face one final time. Goodbye my love, and GOD willing we shall see each other one day once more, and I shall embrace you in my arms yet again." To my Children, (@Lomiei@avióndelta@wowsirss) Spoiler Erwin: "I am so unbelievably proud of you Erwin. You have truly become a self-sufficient man who does nothing but bring me pride and joy every time I look upon you. While I may not have been there for the birth of my Grandchild, I know that they will have wonderful parents in both you and your kind-hearted wife. However, now that I have departed, you shall be responsible for the care of our Family and our continued prosperity. I have no doubt at all that you are fully capable of this task, and fear not, for I will always be watching you from GOD's realm." Maya: "Daughter, wherever you may be, I am truly sorry. I am sorry that I could not have been a better parent to you, but I still want you to know I love you with all my heart. No matter how many times you may run from home, I will love you until my very soul in the Seven Skies ceases to exist. Goodbye my Daughter, I hope that one day we may reconcile once again." Friedrich: "My boy, you make me as happy as you always have. Your joyous attitude at almost all times has never once failed to brighten my day no matter how hard it may be. My only regret is not being able to see you grow up into a proud Bishop man that I know you will become. I wish for you to know this, I love you and shall always smile down upon you. Farewell, my shining son." August: "Son, where to begin with you. You were always an adventurous little boy. Climbing trees, wandering the City at night, I often laid worried at night that you would do something reckless. Though I must confess, I always found it amusing how quickly and how effectively you could climb. I still remember how happy you were when I told you I would teach you to fight, and I want you to know that it made my day seeing your little blue eyes light up the way they did. I love you my son, I know you will grow into a strong man. Farewell." And thus, Henry Bishop stood no longer... OOC: Spoiler I had a really great time playing this persona, which I started playing a few long months ago. I've had this character all throughout Covid, but sadly it's time to say goodbye. I want to say a special thank you to the lovely people who played in my Family as my children, cousins, nephews, and more. Another special thank you to the Haeseni community, which truly made me feel welcomed and loved whenever I stepped onto this persona. I love all of you, and I'll see y'all soon.
sarahbarah 5121 Share Posted September 4, 2021 Princess Petra Emma clutched that letter tightly to her chest, tears trickling down her cheeks as she mourned the loss of one of her greatest friends and mentors. He would never get to meet her children, whom she had been pregnant with. She longed to have just one final conversation with the Bishop, just to thank him for all he had done for her.

CopOwl 1668 Share Posted September 4, 2021 (edited) Adrianna Barclay was standing in the centre of the Barclay Keep in Reinmar. She was still wearing her wedding dress, with boxes of her things piled high in the courtyard ready to move them to Oren and her new husband's house. Suddenly her attention was grabbed by a somber messenger hurrying through the gates. He extended a note out to her solemnly, not saying a word until she took the note and he ran off. As she sheepishly and nervously took the note from the stranger, a pit dropped in her stomach while she unfolded it. She read the note and a tear rolled down her cheek as she let out a quiet sob. She clasped a hand over the note and pressed it to her chest as she crouched down to the ground with her tears dropping off her cheeks and to the dirt. "Onkle Henry... D-du cannicht be dead.." She whispered, "Du cannicht! Ich..." She continued to whimper. "Ich am nicht ready to be without du... Gotte... GOTT VERDAMMT!! Nein!" Exclaimed her furious and loudly mourning voice while her hand clenched into a fist and she punched the ground. She scrunched up the note and shoved it in her pocket, going off to find her new husband@ArizonaRanger with tears rolling down her cheeks. Lomiei 1511 Share Posted September 4, 2021 Erwin Bishop sits by the bookshelf of his nursery while his wife nurses their baby daughter on the cushioned sette. A deafening silence fell over all 3 of them, only interrupted by the sound of paper rubbing against itself as a copy of the 4 scrolls was being read, only occasionally, the paper emitted a plop as a tear fell from the eye of the new patriarch who inherited his title too early.
Capt_Chief26 1205 Share Posted September 4, 2021 (edited) Ser Reinhardt Barclay felt nauseous, he hadn’t felt this way since the passing of his own father 6 years, and now he felt that he had lost one of the few men still around that he could look up to. He signed the Lloraine and prayed for the soul of one of his oldest and dearest friends, and man who had acted like a father to him at times. “Ich hope du are happy where du are now, Henry. Danke for the lessons du have taught me and Ich shall carry on your memory of your friendship, kindness and honor.” Edited September 6, 2021 by Capt_Chief26

esotericas 1595 Share Posted September 4, 2021 Friedrich Bishop's hands tremble as he looks down at his father's letter. He reads it twice, three times, five, and then carefully folds it and places it in his pocket, a grim set to his face. He supposed it was a sign. Time to go. He looked around at his bedroom, cleaned of all his belongings, and slipped downstairs. Freddy locked the front door behind himself, ditching his key under the doormat. His meagre saved-up allowance jangled in his pockets, and he set off down the road, Norland-bound.

Helena Bishop would grow up hearing wonderful stories of her grandfather'. She often wondered what he was like, imagining incredible stories of his adventures. When Helena would play with her dolls, the brave knight in all of her stories was affectionately named Henry.

RaijenStars 967 Share Posted September 4, 2021 As Raijen Stars heard the news he fell silent. He could not find the words to describe how he felt. Although he did not know the man very well, He was still important for him as he was the first to welcome him when he came young and confused to the kingdom, he was the first to reach a hand to help when Raijen needed a job desprately offering him to join the BSK. Raijen often fantasized about the time when he would get a great achivement and then run to Henry to tell and thank him as it was thanks to him he was where he was that day. Raijen let out a big sigh, and in the silence that stood still in his room a tear drop was shed. Maybe even more than one, but he would not tell that. He shall be remembered.
