Beastial Pretenders

Elemental Powders

Created by religious Voidal Zealots as a means to become 'one' with the elemental energies, Elemental Powders where created to help these crazed fools find 'oneness' with the Realm Beyond the Veil.

Spoiler

Recipe

Liquid Mana (base)

The ground up remains of an Atronach’s Core

a symbol with the Fire/Water/Earth/Air/Aether depending on the core used x4

Connection x2

Chaos x2

Effects

Elemental Powders take on the appearance of a purple salt that is odorless.

When sprinkled onto a food object then consumed by a decedent, a strange magical effect would take place that heavily alters the appearance of an individual. The effect caused by this potion varies on the type of Atronach Core used.

If the core of a Fire Atronach was used (needing symboles with the fire sign), the person would seem to gain the appearance as though they were made purely of fire, though they do not actually burn or light objects on fire.

If the core of a Water or Ice Atronach was used (needing symboles with the water sign), the person would gain the appearance as though they were made purely of water, ice, or both, though they do not get wet or make objects around them wet.

If the core of an Air Atronach was used (needing symboles with the air sign), the person would take on a cloudy appearance, looking like a physical, walking cloud, though they are not actually made of a cloud or become ‘cloud like’.

If the core of an Earth Atronach was used (needing symboles with the earth sign), the person would take on an earth-like appearance, their skin looking like stone and dirt. However their body doesn’t physically become ‘stone’.

If the core of a Telekinetic Atronach was used (needing the symbols with the Aether sign), the person would take on an appearance as though they were made of ‘pure energy’, often times in the color of their aura. However they are not physically made of pure energy.

The transformation undergone by these potions is a painful process, taking at least [4] emotes to fully go under the effects of one of Elemental powders. The effects of the potion last indefinitely, requiring the process of bloodletting at least 1/4 of a person’s blood in order to remove the effects. This often leaves a person heavily ill for 1 IRL day. The effects of the potion also end upon the death of a person over the course of 3 emotes.

Redlines

  • Requires ST signing
  • One must oocly consent to consuming this potion.
  • All transformations are purely cosmetic, and provide non combative advantage or disadvantage save for possible intimidation factors.
  • The shape of a person’s face does not change, simply it’s texture. One who knows a person well could see through the disguise.
  • The effect of the potion is based upon what core was used in creation.
  • Highly Skilled Voidmages, Voidal Eminents, and Atronach Forgers may be able to infer something is amiss if they see someone under the effects of the potion due to it's non-voidal nature.
  • The potion only has effect on descendents, and only affects their skin. Clothing articles and armors are not transformed.
  • Due to the semi-magical nature of this potion, undergoing the effects of Thanic Poisoning cause the potion to slowly end over the course of 4 emotes as the thanhium eats away at the magical properties of the brew.

Ghost’s Oil

Created by both mystics wishing to blend in with their spectral servants and those foolhardy alchemists trying to break into the lairs of these foul dark mages, Ghost's Oil allows for one to make an object appear ghost like.

Spoiler

Recipe

Liquid Mana (based)

Ectoplasm (from ether a specter,  revenant/wight/graven, or poltergeist)

Death x2

Clarity x1

Blindness x3

Effects

Ghost’s Oil appears as a semi-translucent white, grey, or red brew that smells akin to grave dirt with the appearance based upon if the ectoplasm of a specter, revinate/wight/graven, or a poltergeist was used.

To use this oil, one must apply it to their skin, clothing, or object which takes roughly 2 emotes to do. One potion is usually enough to cover an individual roughly around the size of a fully grown orc. When applied, one of the following effects take place:

If the ectoplasm of a specter was used, the applied object would take on a strange blue or white tone and become semi translucent, with onlookers somehow being able to slightly see through a person, but with such images being distorted and unclear.

If the ectoplasm of a poltergeist was used, the applied object would take on a strange black or red tone and become semi translucent, with onlookers somehow being able to slightly see through a person, but with such images being distorted and unclear.

If the ectoplasm of a revenant, wight, or graven was used, the applied object would take on a strange grey tone and become semi translucent, with onlookers somehow being able to slightly see through a person, but with such images being distorted and unclear.

The effects of the potion last indefinitely, however it can be noted that it washes over very easily, with water enough to cause the effects to end.

Redlines

  • Requires ST signing
  • Due to the effects of this potion NOT being perminate, application does NOT require ooc consent (but it is always good to ask!)
  • The effects of the potion are purely cosmetic, and provide no combative advantage or disadvantage save for possible spookiness
  • You can not fully see objects through a person or through them in general just because they look semi-translucent. It will always appear warped and unfounded
  • The effects of the potion are primarily based upon what the primary ingredient was (as listed above)
  • The potion does not change the shape of physicality of the body. It just makes it look almost like a ghost. Those experienced in ghost hunting or who are mystics are more likely to not be fooled by such a potion.
  • The potion can be treated onto clothes and fabrics for a more permanent effect. If done so, water can not wash it away. These items must be ST signed however.
  • Due to the semi-magical nature of this potion, direct contact with Thanhium or Auric oil causes the effects to slowly end over the course of 4 emotes
  • T2 Potion - Rare

Deadman's Rot

Created by wicked necromancers and alchemists fascinated with the undead- Deadman's Rot gives flesh it is applied to the appearance and texture of rotting skin- similar in appearance to those foul undead creatures that are common among necromantic covens.

Spoiler

Recipe

Liquid Mana (based)

Flesh or Bone from an undead creature

Death x2

Impediment x1

Fear x3

Effects

Deadman's rot takes on the appearance of a thick, waxy sludge that smells like rotting flesh and aged, dried blood.

When applied to the skin of a person, a strange transformation slowly takes place that causes ones own flesh to soon appear and feel dried and rotted. The skin comes to clings tightly to the bone- appearing almost skeletal like and take on a sickly grey tone, with most pigmentation fading off. This person will also smell like decaying flesh.

The transformation undergone by these potions is a painful process, taking at least [4] emotes to fully go under the effects of one of the Deadman's Rot.

  • The effects of the potion are purely cosmetic, and provide no combative advantage or disadvantage save for possible spookiness
  • The person's body mass does not change- muscles to not atrophy and strength is not altered.
  • A skilled necromancer or monster hunter would probably not be fooled by the potion's effects.
  • The effects of the potion always revert upon death.
  • Can only be used on descendants.
  • Due to the semi-magical nature of this potion, undergoing the effects of Thanic Poisoning cause the potion to slowly end over the course of 4 emotes as the thanhium eats away at the magical properties of the brew.
  • T2 Potion - Rare

Devil’s Skin

Developed by monsters and monster hunters to help mask their appearance among these creatures or give their followers a closer bond of apperance, Devil's Skin is a unique potion as it allows for one to take on a monstrous-like appearance of some of the most famed elemental creatures of the natural world.

Spoiler

Recipe

Liquid Mana (base)

Scales of an Azdrazi OR Hair of a Fjarriagua OR Soul Tree/Tree Lord Bark

Chaos x2

Growth x 3

Poison x1

Aether - Instability x 2

Effects

Devil’s skin appears as a foul smelling red (if scales are used), blue (if the hair is used) or green (if the Bark is used) paste that always smells like old moss.

When consumed, the effects are always consistent based upon which of the following ingredients were used.

If the Scales of an Azdrazi were mixed into the brew, one would find their skin and hairslowly transform into that of the complexion similar to that of the dragonkin Such a transformation also causes the eyes of the person to become a deep shade of yellow, gold, or red which is mostly determined at random. However the person sadly fails to grow horns.

If the Hair of a Fjarriagua is used, one would find their skin and hair slowly shape and transform, becoming light blue if not pure white in colour and gaining an icey texture and appearance. Such a transformation would cause the eyes of a person to turn into a shade of blue or aqua.

If Soul Tree/Tree Lord Bark is used, one would find their skin slowly and hair shaped and transformed, becoming green, brown, or a mix of the two in appearance, and gaining a wooden/plant like texture. Such a transformation would cause the eyes of a person to turn into a deep shade of green or brown.

The transformation undergone by these potions is a painful process, taking at least [4] emotes to fully go under the effects of one of the Devil's Skin.

  • The potion must be drunk in order for it to work
  • One must consent oocly to be forced to drink this potion
  • The appearance and texture of the skin are purely cosmetic, and provide no combative advantage or disadvantage save for possible spookiness.
  • The effects of the potion are based upon the primary ingredient used. Azdrazi Scales, Hair of a Fjarruagua, or Soul Tree/Tree Lord Bark
  • The potion does not change the shape of one’s face or body, though it may slightly alter the pitch of one’s voice to be higher or lower, and people close to the person may still recognize them.
  • The effects of the potion end if the person dies.
  • Can only be used by descendants
  • Due to the semi-magical nature of this potion, undergoing the effects of Thanic Poisoning cause the potion to slowly end over the course of 4 emotes as the thanhium eats away at the magical properties of the brew.
  • T3 Potion - Rare

Purpose

Spoiler

These are just some funny cosmetic potions I have been wanting to make for a while, and have been on a back burning for quite sometime. I figured something like this could allow for more interesting roleplay between these certain magic/CA groups and those without the magics/CAs by allowing people to literally pretend to be the Monster CAs to a limited extend. Such could be useful in the case of non-CA/non-magic introduced followers.

If the lore is accepted, the potion would be spread out as such, with the general idea of who will be grandfathered in:

At least ONE mystic with a valid T3 Alchemy FA will be grandfathered in with the knowledge of Ghost Oil.

At least ONE Azdrazi/Herald of Azdromoth, Frost Witch, and Druid with a valid T3 Alchemy FA will be grandfathered in with the knowledge of Devil's Skin.

At least ONE Atronach Forger AND Void Mage with a valid T3 Alchemy FA will be grandfathered in with the knowledge of Elemental Powders.

At least ONE necromancer will be grandfathered in with the knowledge of Deadman's Rot.

An ST signed book detailing all of the processes and recipes will be made and injected into the Realm of Almaris.

Furthure details about who will know the potion if the lore is accepted can also be discussed and further elaborated by the LT

Now to find someone to make me an Azdrazi Skin.... >_>
