An Entry into the Book of Tales

  It is customary that the line of Hanethor not go unrecorded in the chronicles of the Book of Tales. 

 

  Descended directly from the only surviving son of Saint Godwein of Huntshill, Beron Stafyr, Arthur of Grenz currently holds the Mandate of Thondor as the 23rd Lord and Guardian of House Stafyr through the ancient Almannir rite of the eldest.

 

  Married to Elia of Bethlehen in 1894 of the Imperial calendar, or in 447 ES of the Sigismundic one, the children of their union are thus recorded as follows.

• Edmund II. Hannes [448 HST] (Undecided): Named in honor of Edmund I. Stafyr, 2nd Margrave of Schattenburg, and Hannes of Acre, seen as a father figure to Elia of Bethlehen.

 

• Edwyn Isovar [450 HST] (@Bones): Named after Ser Edwyn Harwyn, a prominent figure under the Fifth Empire renown for his cunning and political acumen. Acknowledged through his moniker ‘the Unwavering’ as well as an inside joke between the couple.

 

• Konrad Leofric [450 HST] (@Rayna Star): Named in honor of Ser Konrad Stafyr, Imperial Senator and Lord Palatine of Haense, as well as the youngest brother of Arthur of Grenz.

 

• Thondorus II. Thiges [450 HST] (@___siren___): Named in honor of Thondorus I. Stafyr, the uncle of Arthur of Grenz, renowned merchant, Keeper of the Book of Tales, and legal guardian to himself and his siblings.

 

• Courtnay Adrian [450 HST] (@Scourge): Named by accident at first due to a miscommunication regarding his gender at birth, though soon adored as a namesake thereafter. Additionally named after the first Baron of Bethelen, Adrian Erik, the beloved great-grandfather of Lady Elia. 

 

• Ravenna Isabel [452 HST] (@Allien): Named after the wife of Saint Godwein, Ravenna Stafyr, Margravine-Consort of Schattenburg. Additionally named after the eldest daughter of Ser Konrad Stafyr, Isabel of Nenzing, Countess-Consort of Leuven, a diplomat, traveler, scholar, and philanthropist of great repute.

 

• Henrietta Anabel [457 HST] (@Roza): Named in remembrance of the pseudo-sister of Elia Eryka, gaining her namesake from the late Baroness Henrietta Wilhelmine von Preussens. Her middle name comes from that of her beloved grandmother and renowned Aeldinic ballerina Anabel Maria and Aunt Anabel Elia. 

 

  May this writ overseen by the eyes of Thondorus Stafyr, uncle to Arthur of Grenz and current Keeper of the Book of Tales, be entered into our chronicles so that we may continue to record the lineage of this ancient and unbroken line.

Elia Eryka went about her day, obsessively ensuring that the nannies and tutors kept to her strict instructions for her many beloved children! She'd wheel Courtnay around.

The young Stafyr lad was not paying attention as his uncle and namesake read the newest entry aloud. Instead Thondorus was jumping around the courtyard - up the stairs, onto the benches and everywhere he managed to get on. Even for his age he had strong legs, one might say they would grow to be thunderus.
