JuztLizzy 360 Popular Post Share Posted September 9, 2023 First off, I'd like to say that this is by no means a post telling you how to act or behave around people. what you say and do is up to you. I just wanted to make this little reminder because i've been seeing things pop up more and more recently, and it's starting to affect people I care about. I know we make jokes and complain about LoTC but genuinly, I love this server. I've made amazing memories, met great people, and joined a number of different communities. Recently though, I've been hearing and seeing more disagreements between players than there usually is. More specifially, disagreements that begin because of OOC drama or because of something player's characters have done IRP. It's saddening seeing communities and friends fall apart because of something that happened in a minecraft roleplay server. I see these people and places I love fall apart and hate each other for the most obscure things that can be solved by a simple conversation. So, with that said, I would like to give everyone the friendly reminder, THIS IS A ROLEPLAY MINECRAFT SERVER. What characters say to each other, it's not real. If characters are arguing, it doesn't mean the players are too. Along with that, the same thing should apply if people are arguing OOCLY, don't bring that into your roleplay. A good portion of the players on this server are adults, so please, deal with OOC issues privately and away from the server. Don't make up useless drama that just breaks up friends in the end. People come to LoTC to escape from the struggles of real life. To roleplay and have fun. Not to have OOC Drama and lose friends. It shouldn't be difficult to be a decent person in this game. MissToni 3487 Share Posted September 10, 2023 If you are ever worried or confused on if a player is upset with you oocly during roleplay arguments one can always just ask said player just to be certain. Sometimes people tend to overthink things due to past experiences, and that's understandable and okay as we are all human. So just simply ask, you will NEVER look stupid for asking just to put your own mind at ease. Or if it's the other way around, that you are worried the player is getting upset at you over the roleplay happening, just do a little check in and put your own mind at ease.
