I’ve been on the server for over 10 years now, this isn’t a really a leaving post, I might come back in a few months but the server is so stale right now and just no fun, it has become draining, taking too much of my time and I’d like to put that time elsewhere. The spirit of the server when I first joined was to take risks, but it seems like everyone is paralyzed and scared of the good and bad consequences of taking them. 

 

The Raell’uvuliran is left to @Rigorous or @Esterlen, hopefully you can find something better to do with it. Bomb it if idiots try to take it over.

Thanks for all the favors, helping me out with my projects and the good memories, we didn’t get to talk much this past year but the few times we did reminded me of 2016, when we could laugh for hours over an eraser, or an eightball, or aku even. Crazy how time flies.

El mero mero, its crazy how far you’ve come since the war of two emps, from sacrificing ourselves fighting reivers to having one of the craziest characters ever played on LOTC. You’ve gotten the short end of the stick so many times on the server and still be able to come out on top, bro is actually the Mahdi. You said it’s just not enjoyable to play the server when everyone is doomering, and I think I myself have gotten into a spiral too, so much toxicity around me that I just started to mirror it myself. I left at a bad time, but I hope everything works out in the end. You’ve been a real one, y acuérdate que si necesitas ayuda con papeles chuecos, let me know.

Thanks for all the rp recently and reviving my interest and enjoyment in Druidism and on Adriel. I was in a big slump, but you were always there to answer my questions, entertain my borderline troll rp, and open an avenue for roleplay for me and a bunch of my friends. I’m glad Ele got to step outside of the druid thing and find a place in the North, hopefully you’ll still be around whenever I pop my head back in, I really enjoyed our RP and it definitely extended my time on the server. Remember to have fun, don’t take anything too seriously in true Brother Surf stride.

Actually one of my favorite people that I’ve met on this season of LOTC, probably one of the best new players, win or lose the time we spent playing together was fun, I really wanted to make a place in which you and people like you could chill at in peace but it looks like someone else is going to have to do that. Thank you for assisting me, always having my back and for just being around. I truly appreciate that. The server would’ve been unplayable if it weren’t for people like you around to make it fun and interesting.

Alright bickando, it’s crazy that I’m the one dying first this time. It’s been a long 10 years, from snow elves to war of two emperor maniacs, finally dying on Alstions, a crazy timeline. It was honestly a fun 10 years, well until Petra, everything past that has been crazy and fucked up. Thanks for always being there in the background to write something or make a crazy plan to start a nation, or trick people into getting eaten by sandworms. We should have never left Renelia, we could’ve made a dark elven empire, an even more cursed timeline than this one, maybe a better one where the server isn’t run by schizophrenics. You’ve always been a good friend, and a loyal one.

I haven’t really known you for that long, but it feels like you’ve been present in my in-game life ever since I joined the server. Back when I was a tiny, non-english speaking snow elf, you were a big bad 45 year old man, evil emperor and everything bad in the world was your doing. Crazy how a little propaganda and a lot of imagination can shift someone’s perspective, you were still an evil emperor but perhaps not everything bad that happened was your fault, at least I don’t have proof of that (yet). I’m actually glad I got to meet the guy behind the wig, someone that I agree with a lot, with good ideas on how to better the server, which could be better if people would just put in the work. Glad I did not drag you into this last project as I’m not going to be the one seeing it through, but I hope whoever is around to pick it up listens to you if you have any input.

Thanks for taking a chance on a random guy that you didn’t know and opening a door for  him that he’s been trying to open since 2013. Adriel has become one of my most favorite characters that I’ve ever gotten to play in these 10 years, and it was all an accident as he was never meant to be played to begin with. I wish we could have gotten to rp more together but I was pulled in so many random directions. I had fun with you on the GM team, especially during the interviews.

You already know what I have to say, you have been one of the best people I’ve ever met, I wish we played in more places together. What you don’t know is, and what everyone has told you is that always being ambivalent, not taking sides hurts you more than anyone else. This time it hurt me too, but I understand why you chose neutrality. I hope the people you surround yourself with care as much about you as the ones you distanced yourself from.

You’ve been one of my funniest people I got to meet on the GM team, it was nice knowing that there was always someone around to bounce ideas off, someone that was generally understanding, and if things went south, someone to make sure that I was doing things correctly. Glad I had someone to drag along to do some modreqs with. I remember when we first met, you weren’t sure if you were training me correctly, and now you’re a full manager, a bananager if you will. Glad to see you go so far on the team.

I really enjoyed my time in Veletz, before and during the war, and your leadership despite the loss. I pulled so many all-nighters building those forts with you guys, grinding, exhausting myself to try and get a better result (never forget the 60 dead at the hand of Adriel). I think there was a time I stayed awake for 72 hours to make sure we met the deadline. Hope Solgaard does well, it really is a cool project you have going on up there, maybe you guys do something big with it once the server stops being so sleepy all the time.

Ok Maltabro, this is the obligatory ping so you know you weren’t forgotten. We both know you’re not actually going to play seriously again, best stay off and continue living your life, not a whole lot to be around for right now. You were always the funniest, but loudest person in the vc, well you still are. Hope to see that same energy whenever I pop my head around, you’re a good guy Malta, even when you’re not. I hope you have a much better time IRL than we’ve had in game.

 

If the server gets any more fun to play, I’ll probably be back in the next few months, until then.
