If we are making raids even harder to defend (Tunnel systems being the only thing that gave Petra any hope during the Veletz war ngl) can we please nerf things like raid ladders? They reach far too high and encourage building walls ridiculously high.

I was not there for that specific raid. But i will say such. I will welcome any rule changes that make defense harder, mainly because i believe such will help filter out paper tiger nations. Ultimately, if you cannot rally people to defend, then that is game. It's a good thing. It should be hard for a nation with smaller rallies to defend, because then they are encouraged to work under other nations. The levy system worked for the feudal age to defend forts, perhaps nations in LOTC wil veer towards such.

Or you know, actually take fights during a war.


For moderation/tech, a nice bonus to these rules would be the ability to break down gates and doors specifically during raids with raid tnt. Just give it a whitelisted block set that it can actually destroy.

the way to beat raids shouldnt be making builds that are unraidable but to rally and beat the raid

 

and dont say that rallying against raids is impossible, i've seen the modern magic orb and uav technology!!

I know that in Krugmar when we kidnapped Mio we had an INSANE advantage with the defenses where they wouldnt even push in the tunnel because we had access to gates and they didnt. If you build your defenses right you are fine. They outnumbered and sure, got away with Mio at the end, but they couldnt push in to harm our people. Which is what you should be caring about. Defenders have it easy. Just be smart

Personally? I cannot wait until naval battles are a thing. Will it be moderators in charge of overseeing them? Blue Janny, world edit my boat forward 10 blocks!
