We don't "spit in their faces" of blood eagles/whiteroses/villain guilds. We get ambushed with lackluster, unmotivated villain RP because they got pissed at some dwarf or dark elf and are now going on a nazistic ethnic cleansing spree for their own OOC enjoyment. This happens too often and they'll just dominate if it turns into PvP and then suddenly their armor stash is all that matters.

Edit: Misread this, sorry lol. And not all Villains do this. I can say that I haven't seen many Villains attack people because of Race.

The backlash was inevitable; I know many people complaining are those who truly got into their RP mid-Asulon where RP fighting became precedent. It's expected for them to resist change, especially when villainous/antagonizing groups such as White Rose, Orcs, and Blackmonts are all in favor of PvP, and thus they feel to shun it. I hope this decision is not revoked due to said backlash; let people leave and return when their temper is cooled, and let us usher in an age where our server's combat system is designed to work on its platform; Minecraft.

I think we should all just wait and see how this works out.  Making knee-jerk reactions and opinions will not help- let's experience what this will be like and THEN make opinions and decisions.
