hey ik this is a crazy idea but maybe you shouldn't say its ok if staff get doxxed and have death threats sent to them because the warclaim didnt work, maybe u should go take a shower instead

@ScreamingDingo Taking someone's words out of context is quite baffling too! What you do on the internet can and does have an effect on you in the real world. People have lost their jobs (not just for racist tweets, some of it is deemed justified by some like in the case of a child predator or law breaker of an intense nature), have had their relationships ruined (In LoTC's case look no further then Punisher for an example of what I mean) and more.
I am not justifying it, I am not saying it should happen. What I am saying is that it does happen and that when people engage in obnoxious behaviors like the ones some in this community continuously engage in, they're bound to have ill effects occur to them on their day to day lives. It doesn't have to be doxxing, threats or harassment. It can be a hell created by their own hands due to poor socialization skills and manipulative behaviors learned through LoTC itself.
It's really not insane to say that you can't hide behind the veil of anonymity either. Though, anonymity isn't part of this discussion but more or less the effect it has on the individual. You're still engaging with a person behind a monitor, being anonymous doesn't hide this fact or lesson the impact it has on your own mental health. Bullies are normally quite unhappy and bully others due to a lack of self-esteem and self-worth.
Now, if you poke a cat multiple times.. That cat can and will scratch or bite you. Bad things happen to bad people, be nice and kind to each other and it simply won't happen. I find this community gets more toxic by the year because the worst possible individuals end up in positions of authority, it's not that they're not able to fulfill the role but more that they're unable to even try and empathize or understand other points of view. It's more or less about what they and their clique of friends wants and not what is actually good for the greater community.
I am NOT calling anyone in particular out when I say this as I think this applies to the majority of staff to varying levels and degrees. However I will elaborate further.. Essentially, someone who's basically a bigot (literal definition and has varying degrees of severity) shouldn't be put in a position of authority (any position that gives any authority) over an entire community. If you aren't open minded and can't even try to understand another person's point of view then you're destined to run any position you're in into the ground.
Bad behaviors get punished, you reap what you sow. You know this, you know that bad behaviors on the internet lowers ones self esteem and you know that it creates negative personality traits. The first step to dealing with an issue, whether it be personal or not is to admit that there is a problem in the first place. Calling my posts trolling, name calling me a freak and dismissing my posts doesn't change anything and just further reinforces my claims.
There needs to be an honest conversation about what I've just highlighted but such a conversation hasn't really happened in over six years. The last time @Telanir tried to make staff (and the community) more tolerant and understanding he was ridiculed by both the staff and the community and pretty much failed to varying degrees.
I think if this continues, someone really should pull the plug on the server because I honestly do believe that some of the behaviors shown by some members of the community is genuinely quite dangerous. We've had predators, we've had people get doxxed and we've had people sent death threats.

An aged warrior cackled with infernal delight as her form caught flame- the room burning around her under the lick of her divine spark. In those final moments, there was no true thought, only glimpses of that which had once been sane, yet every movement was calculated, methodical, structured to buy a second more. As the frame collapsed, and her companions were obliterated entirely the only thing that Midnetora could think was perhaps this was a splinter of Asioth.

How long had it been since she had known the comfort of her kin? Her rooms were a mess- floors littered with swiftly discarded scraps of paper written in a dark ink, a dozen sketches, a handful of maps. Her years effort, rendered useless due to circumstances outside of her own control. Enlightenment came slowly when clouded by sorrow- the lack of presence of another at her side felt strongly. Perhaps this was why her enchantments and talents were no longer her own- lost twice now in the span of some fifty years, maybe once more to her Father's irritation. Was it possible to capture that spark of divine flame a third time? Would she even be judged worthy by her brothers when her deeds were so occluded behind layers of subtleties and shadows. She gazed deep upon herself in her looking glass, and beheld features that were as foreign to her as Oyashiman wares or Dark Elven rituals. She had lived in so many bodies, had been known by so many names- and now it seemed unlikely she would ever be able to recapture that last scrap of her original humanity, when she had walked the land not as dragonkin, but as Franziska. Franziska- what did that name even mean now? A legacy left behind in an Empire that seemed determined to forget her good deeds and hard effort. Letters and lovers both lost to time- so many names and faces that now seemed to mesh together in a grand and horrifying amalgamation. There were so few who remembered the name Franziska that it had become just as meaningless as the other faces she had worn- Anna Sibylla, Kameyo, Miralin, Klariel. Would Midnetora become obscure as well? Would her seemingly immortal gift be sundered- left to rot under the heat of the sun that she had been named for? In the form of dragonkin, she had many names as well- Loyal Northern Summer, Dragonmuse, Midne-of-Many-Faces, yet even they who had called her by those epithets as if she were some small god were vanished on the winds, far from her sight. She had lived so long by many names, swapping faces and monikers as easily as her clothes, that all she had done became lost- and for a time she had enjoyed it. She wielded the whisper as well as her brothers wielded their swords, and her tongue had become a formidable weapon to rival any honed blade. But was it satisfactory to leave no legacy behind? To have her deeds be shrouded in mystery and obscura? She gazed once more into the mirror and saw a woman whose name she did not know. Perhaps Eluitholnear would be the one to grant her a new one.

i'll say this in a very respectful manner, since i'm sensing that there's a disconnect here. it seems that you either are misunderstanding magic, or believe that mages are capable of much more than they truly are. kha magic (time manipulation), mentalism, and whatever can rip apart bodies at a molecular level are all either shelved or nonexistant. if you have evidence of mages rping being able to do these extraordinary feats, please send them to my dms at olivia marguerite#2578 becaise i would love to slap the powergamers that are doing such. i don't have an opinion on guns, i just have an opinion on magic.
