  1. The Human RP standard may survive or it may break down. If it survives, it MAY eventually achieve a low level of physical and psychological suffering, but only after passing through a long and very painful period of adjustment and only at the cost of permanently reducing players and many other living organisms to engineered products and mere cogs in the social machine. Furthermore, if the system survives, the consequences will be inevitable: There is no way of reforming or modifying the system so as to prevent it from depriving people of dignity and autonomy.
  2. i oocly like you too now im going to guilt trip you into being my pocket ST also respect for tying in Morbians lore, it's a really underappreciated lorepiece and I think having small nods to it in other works can encourage more interested in it as a whole
  3. Like many states with standardized CFP licenses, Utah accepts any concealed carry permit from any state so long as they're a resident of the state of issue. May I apply for this feat with a concealed carry permit from my non-Utah state, given that it's valid in Utah?
  4. as one of the poor unfortunate powermods, i too am upset as Mr. SnackoZacho for besmirching our beautiful blue names. mr snacywacky himself held a gun to my head to force my to fill out my mod application, and a knife to my seven young children's throats each, growing extra limbs in the process, just to ensure that i would pass the interview process. it is time for us to be loud and proud of our victimization at the hands of Z. S. Nacko
  5. Krug's Word, Second Edition [!] A goblin scribe sends out a missive on behalf of the New Rex of Krugmar to the free peoples of Almaris. The dawn of a new city seems to be upon us, as the former Targoth of the Horde, the honorary-Uruk Sahgorim'Ugluk, has taken the title of Rex of the Horde in the wake of the prior Rex's relinquishment of the position. Citing a growing ailment and desire to pursue personal goals, Rex Ar-Borok'Akaal, formerly Ar-Borok'Mog, announced his abdication, with calls for a continually united Horde. Due to his close relationship and understanding of the then-Targoth Sahgorim'Ugluk, Borok spoke highly of him during his retirement declaration, and officially offered his support and nomination of Sahgorim'Ugluk in front of the assembled members of the nation. In witness of several members of the Wargoth's Council, such as Madoc'Lur, Barbog'Yar, Kothruul'Akaal (Formerly 'Ram), and the Grubgoth Kog'Dul Mag'dun, Sahgorim'Ugluk was uncontested for the position of Rex, and thus has become the new War-Chieftian of the Horde, and Rex of the Iron'Uzg. [Pictured: Artist's interpretation of Turkurz'Raguk.] Following the proclomation, several other individuals in attendance at the meeting stepped forward to seek the new Rex's blessing for contest of their own positions. These include Turkurz'Raguk, the new Rukagoth (since challenged by Draaghluk), Gutlug and Shan'Kho in competition for the position of Huntsgoth, and the new position of Targoth up for grabs by challengers! If you think you've got the zkah, then throw your zults in the ring!
  6. "Mi gruk dere bi a nubzero chanze dat diz iz wub da quikvlatz kawl a 'Falze-Flag Opuraziun'." A random goblin in the woods shakes his head, wondering to himself how anyone, skygod-born rage or not, could possibly justify exterminating an entire race.
  7. As though hearing the besmirchment and disgrace that inspired him to reunify the once-great clan, the Yargoth lifts his fist in the air and screeches out an inane babble of Old Blah, simultaneously begging recognition from the spirits and demanding curses upon the people who keep saying this to his face.
  8. itt: people who don't do gate/patrol duty saying we need more guards Do gate duty. Go ahead, stand in that gatehouse for 3 hours. Fill up that 2am-5am gatewatch slot yourself. Alternatively for the gateless: Do the patrols. Go ahead, patrol without stopping to rp for 3 hours. Fill up that 2am-5am theft hotspot yourself.
  9. A halfling in a dingy burrow reads the missive, hunched over sheaves of paper with quill in hand. Their lips curl- to some a smile, to others a grimace.
  10. an amazing take, truly my fellow morrowind schizo SWOT never has a bad- so why did i sign up to be a forum janny again also yeah i aint the oldest blood in the feasting pit but zamn road rp lasting longer than 2 minutes has never happened to me on almaris and I used to travel these streets religiously
  11. as usual we see the goated boys in blue coming in to save the day (i am unbiased) but yeah real talk, you seem some pretty crazy stuff as a janny probably taints my view a bit to the cries of the common man or whatcha wanna call it though i do agree with the repeated issue of these complaints and evidence that led to bans (be it TOS, toxicity, or otherwise) only miraculously surfacing when it benefits another player(s) - especially when these player's actions have been discussed in hushed-whispers-sans-evidence until their old gang narks for mineman political clout just gets the old noggin' joggin'
  12. and i love elk players deserve elk please ST give elk
  13. barbog for st (please like my cannibal ice deer)

  14. Tundrastriders The Ice-Elk of the High North (Wow, what a beautiful model of a rearing Tundrastrider!) Physiology Tundrastriders appear to the casual observer as a ruminant mammalian species, with a build that strikes familiarity to an elk. Their shoulders are broad, backs strong, with a heavy fur coat that a Morko Bear would be envious of. Quadrupedal, with powerful, bowed legs that end in hooves, they possess the same underlying agility of many cervid cousins- though only in short bursts. With a size somewhere between the common elk and a moose, their greatest threat to descendant species is their mass- the unfortunate mountaineer has on occasion fallen to a stampede of Tundrastriders. Both male and female Tundrastriders have a broad set of antlers, which appear almost crystalline depending on their diet. Tundrastriders who consume a larger proportion of meat to vegetation will develop sharper, more translucent antlers. These rare cases of almost-carnivorous Tundrastriders have given credence to myths and rumors of "Ice Elk" and "Crystal Deer". It has been noted that, oddly enough, the meat of other Tundrastriders produces the strongest reaction... Despite their many similarities to elk and deer, Tundrastriders are omnivorous. They possess a series of small, caninesque teeth, alongside the typical molars of ruminant mammals. As a pseudoruminant species themselves, Tundrastriders acquire nutrients from their food by fermenting plant matter (mixed with meat) in a specialized stomach prior to digestion, in a process known as "foregut fermentation". The fermented food is then regurgitated and re-chewed to break it up- unique microbial colonies in this cud allowing Tundrastriders to consume meat mixed in with plant matter. It is presumed that the presence of these microbials are what cause the antler variety among larger specimens in their species. Bull (male) Tundrastriders weigh anywhere from 700-900 pounds, and Doe (female) Tundrastriders around 550-700. Habitat As the name suggest, Tundrastriders live among the snow-capped mountains and barren ice plains of norther Almaris. Whilst they are capable of living in more temperate environments and taigas, these are typically domesticated specimens who are tended to by a watchful shepherd. Extra care must be given to Tundrastriders when brought outside their frigid home, as they will overheat quickly in their incredibly dense fur coats. Behavior Tundrastriders are, despite their imposing size, quite mild-mannered and exhibit few, if any, aggressive tendencies. Every death known to have been caused by a Tundrastrider has been during a stampede, or accidental goring in an attempt to flee from a hunter. Even when in great danger, Tundrastriders will flee with few exceptions. This has made many past attempts at befriending or taming Tundrastriders unsuccessful. As a consequence, they are not hunters by any means- any meat they consume has been scavenged, or fed to them by an outside influence (namely, sentient species). They seem to have no inhibitions against consuming meat of related species- and even other Tundrastriders. Due to their incredible thermal regulation, as described below, many Tundrastriders will not only ignore snowfall that will cover their hides in sheets of white- but may also actively run through snow dunes when they believe there may be predators nearby with vision as equally poor as them. This alone shows some degree of intelligence among Tundrastriders- though their true level of intelligence remains unmeasured, and this is presumably a 'one-off' instance of skilled behaviors. With their docile nature and mild temperaments in mind, there have been some examples of northern nomad tribes domesticating small herds of Tundrastriders for use as beasts of burden, and occasionally mounts. Abilities Tundrastriders, due to the scarcity of food and lack of variety in the tundra for which they are named, have an almost-total lack of taste, and the constant blanketing snowfall has led to weaker vision than comparable mammals such are elk and deer. To make up for this, however, they have an acute sense of smell, able to smell blood on the wind or dew on the blades of grass, even through tumultuous blizzards. They have a system of thermal regulation that is almost unmatched, even by other mountain- and snow-dwelling species. The fur of their hides only enhances further what their bodies perform. Even furless, Tundrastriders stand a chance in surviving cold climates, and they almost always feel quite warm to the touch- making them incredibly useful for their shepherds to sleep amongst. The coat of a Tundrastrider is easily tooled by descendent means, providing another use to their shepherds- and these coats can be fashioned into clothing or padding in armor that would help provide insulation against the cold. Armorers be warned, as these will not stand up by themselves to truly hostile chills and harsh frosts (as much of the Tundrastrider's natural thermoregulation is caused by dynamic changes in heat production/loss).
