What people know in RP pre-events.): Valandil lived during a time when the Undead flooded the land with their scourge and capitals fell to their taint. Never feeling quite at home with his Elven brethren in Laurehlin, he instead preferred the company of the Orcs of Krugmar, klomping with them often and eventually being recognized as one of their better fighters, a feat unheard of in the present day. He was so strong, in fact, that when the legendary Rex Mogroka'Gorkil selected his three champions to enter the Nether and battle Iblees' forces in the Undead realm, Valandil was chosen alongside the likes of Thore'Gorkil to represent the Orcish nation. He is alleged to have helped organize the unruly champions from other nations to make it easier for the Ascended to bless their weapons and gift them with potions. He was among the first to charge into the nether portal beneath the White Tree of Malinor, but he did not return, having died valiantly in service to the descendants. Brief OOC overview of Legend story (What actually lead to them becoming a legend. This may be the same as the RP belief, or it may be different.): Most of the story is true. While he was selected to be the Orcish champion, and he was abnormally strong for a Dark Elf, he was by no means one of the three strongest in the Orc nation; Mogroka simply didn't want to expend another Orc Bruddah and found the willing Valandil a suitable substitute. And his death was no more valiant - rather than dying while slaying some beast of mythic proportions, or even clearing the way for his comrades, he merely tripped and fell over a ledge while trying to jump a gap, his body crushed between the crimson netherrack and his own suit of armor.
