I think the server has really drifted very far from low fantasy. It would require a very strong human empire to rise and focus on banning voidal magic and animii to be gritty and depostic. would never happen basically You're the best because you’re a sheep who repeats my opinions void magic is not that evil. but to a 5 year old: every time u summon a fire ball u fart in the earths mouth its bad sol ruca is crazy Shaun Michaels rising. Also really liking Jacob Fatu he’s doing absolutely crazy athleticism and he’s a funny guy on the mic. Care about the stories and do not be afraid of loss. We’re on a server that doesn’t punish you for losing, so try to embrace that and know when to give up.

it depends on what metric and criteria you’re putting on the idea of a decline. To a lot of people, the server is in decline because of changes in population, perceived roleplay quality and various other lack of things like PvP, autonomy etc. I don’t think the server is in a “decline”, it’s just in a different position but fundamentally has the same issues that have plagued it the whole time. Low Fantasy stocks are at an all time low, but especially with the development of human nations and how they approach things. Low fantasy grimdark realism is something that is not attainable for the near future. Just really back in my early days when hanging out with the original Marked Men guys and developing the foundations with people like Sode1 and Temp was really important. Also the Mordskov Saga, the team I had with that group were awesome and set up some proper irl friendships. no u are extremely corny Would depend on what the server would need for what eventline to create. Any from scratch, I don’t really have a perfect project as I have really done most of the event stuff I’ve wanted to do, especially with the leading of the Inferi eventline and such. I would either revise and change the Four Brothers and the histories around them, making them more realistic and pushing it away from the noobiness of the curses that kinda plagues them. OR 100% would revise and dismantle majority of the dragaar to have less of an impact on the server. Most of their origins suck because they were admin OC dragon girls that were terrible. Decently cushy, they have solid unions and the benefits of holidays and such are pretty good. Paperwork and parent pressures are probably the worst parts of it, especially working with the pressures of the final years and the results required for the rest of their schooling. Also makes it more fun and being able to get into that area fairly early in my career is pretty good. unsure of the European requirements but if you’re in that Central Europe area (Germany etc) I’ve heard it’s pretty awesome, just gotta have to deal with students with a measured approach. If you enjoy that aspect teaching is a breeze. 1. There’s no real objective thing, it’s ultimately whatever the person gets from an encounter. My biggest thing is just ensuring that the roleplay is not contained in a single bubble and is never spoken about again. Especially with my events, I want to ensure that there is continuity and constant references to what has happened to see the speculation and impact grow. (I occasionally Omni what people do afterwards so sorry in advance). 2. The last couple of years I’ve really not done much because of my Timezone and lack of availability to properly roleplay, but I just enjoy this medium and it is an outlet for creative writing that I normally would not be exposed to. 3. Something about staying in school and not being annoying in your last few years because it’s not cool to neglect school. 4. sometimes not all items need to have an ST sign 5. Server culture, if I could change the mentality behind most players I would. Was my golden goal as admin and failed in bringing real change. Probably exactly where I am right now, just would not have a passion for creative writing like I do now MA distribution has been a really good thing for most magics, the ability to be able to retrieve magics is so much easier than it used to be and I think the server is so much better for it. Has it improved the communities, not really since the same people who would have got the magic will inevitably end up there. whole travel back to Athera event and specifically Gudours death. Lots of plot holes and annoyances created by that eventline that still frustrates me in my writing today. Yeah ur actual lore wasn’t that bad it was mainly the community with challenges involving ice cubes. I would not exist as I would now can’t believe my legacy of lotc is making ppl not ftb as necros and making events people are scared to attend 🙃

yeah, it’s always funny to think back in the day where I just powergamed playing an evil lord with all these magics and no training lol. Got away with it great aswell. Hard to think of a super scandalous event that hasn’t been done to death, the fallout from the Flamboyant Saga was something that was really insane to deal with and the consequences of that. It’s always very interesting to think how Oren was extremely counter culture back in the day against the “oppressive” idiots and those who would manipulate and abuse lore for their own gain. Nowadays they want a figure that’ll do exactly that for them. Was some of the worst times to be under those administrations where favours and such were exchanged for weird OOC stuff lol. It’s hard to pinpoint, there’s a lot of founded criticism and anger against me and then there’s this layer of boogeymanism that has followed me for very long. I’ve always been a very divisive figure early on being from the old Oren and the White Rose specifically, where we really did go very hard on elf players and I was part of a group that was especially brutal ooc and ic. Most of the modern reasons as to why people dislike me is because I say they suck and normally talk about why their stuff is bad, which is fair enough. I don’t really sugarcoat on here because I don’t feel like I need to, which isn’t the most healthy way to do things but I do. Mind you I don’t really hate anyone on the server, most of the time if I’ve come into contact with you and you have a strong opinion of me, it’s built on my criticism and dislike of how you conduct yourself in roleplay. (Extremely OOC orientated, manipulative, weird attachments that dismantle your character perspective). People have valid reasons to dislike me, some is quite invalid and founded upon people trying to stir the pot. But other things I get, I’ve been an ******* to people. Attitude Era/Ruthless Aggression (probably 2000 onwards) was easily my favourite, very boring response but it was what I grew up with. With this though, I watched a lot of TNA in its prime and I LOVED AJ Styles. Also a big fan of Kurt Angle for his technical prowess. also lol Shane McMahon v Kane Ambulance Match was absurd. Uhhh hard to say but probably 1. Primordials (Benbo Piece) 2. Last Gen Ascended 3. Asura (OG) 4. I think it was second gen Dark Shamanism (weird totem one) 5. First Generation Shade It’s such a weird one to think about. LotC maintains itself based on its history and the unique capacity that it works in a variety of different bubbles with no cohesion. As long as people have interest in roleplaying their OCs, I don’t think LotC would “die”. The “spark” is something that is super subjective and really hard for me to speak of, as that wonder I felt was something I do not know can be emulated in the modern day. But saying that, I’m sure new players are joining the server and integrating the server feeling that spark that drives us all to roleplay. One of the people who play the character Iolas I think really exemplifies this (I forget their MC Name) of a new gen who just has their heart in the game for roleplay. I genuinely believe that nations have such a vital role in providing that spark and that maybe some of them have destroyed their opportunities for noob progression for a solid playerbase that’s consistent. I think it is very difficult to establish yourself in most of these nation cliques and is a big thing that prevents retention, but I don’t know how actually realistic this viewpoint is as, I’m far from being a new player. For a final eventline, it’d be some ridiculous deific scramble sort of one. The idea of Iblees trying to properly reform mathic as the descendant kingdoms vie to control the aengudaemons by either creating their own gods or having them pledge to itself. All to culminate in the idea of the final mathic and full “reset”. Just to give the natural heat death of the universe vibes with not true survival.

I would blow up the snelves again, no remorse. Ever submitted is crazy and will be shading a lot more people than I need to. I really enjoyed the Templar submission from recent memory, but I do not really review much player lore. It’s the same because I am constantly upside down so it’s normal to me. When I went to Europe I had to buy a grounding harness to ensure I didn’t just float away This is a crazy question, really difficult to do this without being a bit contrarian. I would really force a full reset on Naztherak and drive its main focus to be on infernal climbs and setting up the playerbase to be respectful of conflict to allow for constant infighting and a “goal” figurehead for the strongest entity. Would help establish a lot of the stuff I’ve done in the background and would also allow for me to maybe do some tiefling erasure and drive forth that cursed child aspect to be more than aesthetic. not much Both of these communities need actual good role models who care to foster roleplay and aim to build it at every opportunity. These two playerbases are ones that are in dire situations the most because they can never foster any playerbase beyond war and conflict. Orcs require a full cultural reset and the dwarves need to create more noob friendly interactions and ways to actually show their renown. Blacksmithing tournaments, clan reputation systems, voting hierarchies and constant innovation through technology or voidal ways to be the very best that they could be. I’ve always liked Dwarves as a concept, but I think they absurdly miss the mark on LotC. Don’t really have much of a plan at the moment. I’m finishing off my final projects I’ve been procrastinating for the last two years and hopefully just taking a bit of a slow step back from the server. I’d like to maybe roleplay a character, but we’ll see. Hoping this year will be a better one, that’s a definite thing lol. you are one Both. I think the roleplay experience is something that is unique to LotC and is something that I thoroughly enjoy, but do not really have time to take part in again. I also feel that I’ve dedicated an absurd amount of time to the server and personally have not really seen any impact or legacy that would make me too delighted to leave it behind. Yet there’s a large part of me that recognises that I sit in a very strange inbetween on the server where I do not actually align with the progression and direction of the server, even as much as I try to adapt. Very bittersweet, but I think the end is nigh here for me… When I clear Marts out of queue (and people vote on them) I’m enforcing a freeze (quote this) A very rare occasion to be in a VC nowadays. Always good to remember fun times.

people don’t need to PK they just need to understand when to end certain aspects of roleplay if they’re foiled/defeated and ruining continuity of when they are dealt with. big thing is a lack of courtesy by certain players when their characters have been dealt with over some big plot and then they appear the next day and continue to disrupt people. Same thing goes with respawning villains, if you get trashed by a city, rotate to another for a few weeks so it doesn’t seem like a never ending problem. Reward people for finalising their decisions without having to throw away your time invested, but also don’t make their roleplay completely useless and ignoring it solely for your own feelings.

One of the biggest flaws of self teaching is that you are truly unable to ask questions and actually have that double checking and accountability with lore. This aims to circumvent it and force self teaching with minimal guidance and allows for deific interactions to be connected with a book. Lore basis for this is fundamentally incorrect and the team itself will not consider retroactive self teaching inserted into every lore

Punitive and restrictive measures to prevent poor roleplay of the very worst works way more effectively than banning. Taking away types of roleplay that these people thrive on make so much of a better impact. I did some blacklists when I was admin and effectively killed the momentum of really bad actors, they’re effective and I really hope the mods are liberal with them. side note boat meta PvPCRP upgrade is crazy funny
