  1. "It would appear no such protections are afforded to the peoples and princes of the Canonist world - a superficial political play," observes anthropologist and economist J. Fitzpeter.
  2. A ferret informs Ensign Fitzpeter of the mortal danger Margeaux experienced. However, he is incapable of understanding mustelids.
  3. Updating plugins to current/working MC version, Limited Creative, nation currencies in autoshops, etc Not that I hate the pvp changes. I think stacking procs with the dual wielding thing is completely wack and there‘s a lot of redundancy/complexity that could be cut at no loss, but seeing the overall care for balance is a good and refreshing thing. I have to respect Nickyrocky for that even if he‘s brainwashed into Oran hate I really like the gear carrying capacity thing because it makes sure macro users dont get a massive advantage. Hopefully it doesnt get in the way of normal transport/storage
  4. "Humanum..?" remarks Ensign Fitzpeter with a squint to Lieutenant Puller. "It feels as if whoever wrote this lacks a good grasp on our language. A Dwarf, perhaps?"
  5. savoy teamspeak ban appeals are now open.
  6. when are we getting limited creative back, having to jump through hoops for basic building blocks is absurd

We have like two coders, I've already touched on this in past threads. We'll get LC eventually, it just takes a while because there's a lot of other things that need maintenance and, well, our Devs sometimes have lives. Its not like Axios etc when we had what, 5-6? coders.

Honestly a lot of LOTC's problems come down to not having enough coding effort (Although if they wanted to bring pits back as a temporary bandaid for block scarcity I think mods could do that maybe?)

I'd be fine with a big donation drive to hire a coder for the server or something, or give the coders a slight monetary remuneration so that more people want to code for the server, =

  7. J Fitzpeter begins cultivating the grounds for his new farm, expecting his promised help to arrive any day now...
  8. Ensign Fitzpeter drunkenly belts to his companions at the bar in Provi, ”They couldn‘t win here, they won‘t win there. The moon‘s in the sky, they‘ll surely die. HAHAHA!“
  9. J. Fitzpeter comes across this missive in a pile of intercepted letters while enjoying a tasteful cup of coffee at Café Milano in Providence. "A prison... an execution room... a ritual site... this should do wonders for my portfolio!" He exclaims to his mildly surprised waiter, soon mentioning to him, "I'm an economist, by the way."
  10. "Fashion among all classes of the civilized world is advancing and refining in this period of relative stability. It is a good sign." Remarks J. Fitzpeter upon reading a publication in Providence.
  11. "The Haeseni are mocked by their pagan allies at every turn - who is truly the dependent in this relationship?" Observes anthropologist and economist J. Fitzpeter. "In such a state, it would seem the nordling fixation on cuckoldry has rubbed off on the Haeseni king."
  12. The matters of who did it, when it happened, and the plugin having problems do not change the reality of the situation. One nation has a free internal fast travel to a dependent settlement connected by land. Others do not, and may not in the future. Will that change? I hope so, as we have precedent as recent as the map art implementation. I think a more fair solution there would have been to offer every nation on the server map art of their choosing, but things are easier said than done. Addendum: The best solution here would be to offer each nation a free internal FT. When I bring up the point of possible removal, I'm just being a realist, not a hater.
  13. When custom map art was introduced as a publicly purchasable feature, all existing map art was removed out of fairness so that equal costs & opportunities were afforded to the server's players. Now that fast travels were introduced, will existing nation-internal fast travels be handled in a similarly fair way?
  14. No one mentioned tiles. It‘s easy to see no issue as someone benefitting from inequality, though.
  15. Read it again? I‘m bringing up the point that certain nations connected by land to their vassals have a free fast travel now while others will have to pay in the future.
  16. And what about the existing faraway vassal settlements which lack the fair courtesy of a free internal fast travel? They are disadvantaged in this case (excluding Haelunor, which is literally unreachable by walking) as the map develops and other nations enjoy their free connections to their own settlements. Places like Haense and Elvenesse are growing expansive without a good method of MC travel to connect them - they deserve a free internal fast travel as well.
  17. Looking forward to that courtesy being extended to every nation. I would hate to see you favour your own nation, as bias is entirely alien to human nature.
  18. Norland currently has a fast travel route (ferry) from their capital to a vassal settlement (capital_norland to norland_elysium). Much like with Oren's custom map art being removed upon publicization of the feature, it's only fair to remove the ferry or provide free internal fast travels to all other nations so to uphold the rules equally for all players. @Hiebe
  19. Mr. Corners does nothing but watch as Caedric is taken back to the municipal sanitarium by his elderly handler, where he may be plotting today the fourteenth or so disastrously failed Nordling invasion of their betters. Caedric‘s life would surely be immeasurably improved if he allowed himself to be helped, but a mix of deluded egocentrism and class frustration seems to keep their tribe shackled to a horrifically austere existence punctuated by violent coping fantasies. James contemplates the man's comment about self-sufficiency. The Nordling polity is still existentially reliant on its alliances with Haense and Urguan - would the new Haeseni monarch hold up his predecessor's promises relating to conversion and vassalization? Can a culture based only on seething last without conflict for much longer? "Vanity of vanities, indeed..." is the glum truth of life in a place such as Caedric's homeland, a reduced and purposeless place where the prideful of blood live as a minority, the prideful of honor live without victory, and the prideful of realm live without a king.
