Get rid of the ores underground. All this does is tempt people to mine in there. Turn on leaf decay (Unless it is already) If it becomes a real messy area, that's the players fault. It's up to players to fix it. Or just reset the island every so often.

The MT doesn't work for the GM's.

While the GM's do have power over MT (since ya know, we do the arts), I don't think they should really have the power to just shut down a team without asking anyone else. And this isn't the first time they've done things like this
