Totally agree with you bud. I don't have much to say of my own experience because I don't often do villainy RP, but having witnessed it and additionally heard experiences of people playing villains, I can see where your opinions stem. However, ooc harrassment often goes both ways and is a problem everywhere. Do something to a character and you will get it, 9/10 times. One thing I will say is that raid rules need a realistic reworked approach. It kills villainy.

Don’t think at all that this is a good CA race. CA races are there for people who want “more” to work with when offering other players an interesting experience RPing with you, but that doesn’t mean you should be given all-powerful abilities that can negatively effect other characters in high volume. I’m all for a CA race with its respective abilities providing positives to other characters, but this one is just a Witcher rip-off and that by design is anti-other and pro-self. Remember – drawing inspiration from a single source like the Witcher will always lead to an unbalanced race or magic, because it revolves around a mythically powerful main character who isn’t supposed to fail, and is supposed to provide the player an epic experience. It provides little for other people’s more typical characters, and isn’t conducive for a player to play. Perhaps an ET, maybe.

A lot of cultures on LoTC do not cope well with diversity. Several of them are isolationists, and are highly discriminated against. Compromise and common ground are extremely difficult in many current nations to obtain, and the ones where it can be found, there are other factors that drive away groups of players. You can not find equality between two different cultures. There will always be problems. If some can be dealt with, that’s great; but it can’t all be dealt with.

So what exactly do we do if a racial group has control of zero charters, and wishes to open one up? If say the Kha’ wanted a charter and had 10-15 people, we just can’t have one? What does that group do with no place to go, given Kharajyr are commonly aggressed upon? Nothing? Charter lock sounds like yet another additional 4th wall rule to inhibit roleplay on the server, due to the actions of others; a mass punishment.

Well, a lot of the culture rewrite we are working on is simply an expansion of the original lore located in guides here on the forums. The death penalty is only permissible in those specifically regarding alcohol consumption, owning cats or for kinslaying.

“Wealth is not desirable by the Kharajyr, especially their priests. Kharajyr have no purpose in holding material wealth other than for cosmetic appearance, and it is frowned upon by the Kharajyr to hoard massive amounts of riches for little purpose other than to gloat.” It is simply undesirable, nothing more. The large majority of Kharajyr as a people do not seek out hoarding money. Perhaps it is best left not a redline, but is still something big to consider. Kha’ typically will barter instead of utilize currency.
