kharajyr Recruiting! - The Kharajyr-run Metz'Chanca Caravan
Ryloth replied to chaosgamer_'s topic in Guilds
Haskir peers over the flyer, cringing briefly as he imagines the already fully-filled manor housing even more Kha’. He sighs, and decides he could make room before dispatching a bird for Rha’kir – after all, he was Therkul. It would only be right! “We need Sa’Kaktimani.” -

kharajyr The Metz'Chanca Kharajyr Caravan
Ryloth replied to chaosgamer_'s topic in The Kingdom of Oren
Haskir proudly smiles the sun's smile with the new Kharajyr-themed business, but he wonders who or where the artifacts might come from! "I hope not from me!.. Unless it's bartering!"- 1 reply

wasnt another snake CA just posted like a week before this one also this area just seems like the writer is struggling to explain what Azdrazi are, and it’s more importantly not entirely correct

gotta solve the banditry problem first. conflict rp will lead to a settlement finding walls more and more a necessity. brandybrook is about the only example of a non-walled settlement that functions, because the only purpose of raiding brandybrook is to raze and terrorize. it’s hardly even worth it, and it’s just a bit toxic. any other settlement though, they have militaries and – typically – a reason to raid. unfortunately when the server has a multi-life rule in effect where you die and respawn, there is no risk of death, and therefore walls will always exist because bandits will incessantly return. but that’s a whole other argument which effectively nullifies this one without the other being solved first.
-
that’s because walls irl take serious man hours to construct. in lotc it takes like 10 minutes to make a wall design, 10 minutes to paste it around a city on a build server, and 2 hours with an energy drink to litematica the build in. if it took that little time and manpower irl, everything would have walls.

On the Brink 11th of the Amber Cold, 1782 The cogs of war begin to turn, and out of the churning machine sail ships of naval warcraft. Dispatched with orders to blockade, the duo of battleships make headway from the Firelands unto the shores of the evergreen forests North. Racked with cannons and ballistae, food and water, and tools with which to build, these ships crept up the Wildlands coast into the bay of Gehenna. Here under their watchful and mighty masts donned with the Standard of Azdromoth, no ships would enter nor leave. No supplies would come, no people would go. Only now did Farrador have the tall mountains to their East, treacherous to cross with anything more than the clothes on their backs. As draconic soldiers began to patrol the pine woods in advance of approaching armies and siege weapons of the field, this stronghold of Xan would soon begin to run out of options. Soldiers aboard the three vessels cheer and holler into the night as they take anchor, the bay presently empty and devoid of traffic. A naval command ship would follow within the month, with frigates in tow. Where would they run to? Where would they hide? The impending siege was soon to come – this blockade, was the first step.

To the Silver State of Haelun’or.
Ryloth replied to TheIchorDruid's topic in The Farrador Stronghold
A smooth rag runs the length of an ebony weapon’s flat, blade oil glistening on the dormant surface scribed in poetic lunarite draconic and Kharahatla literature. The bestial hand donned in umbra fur returned the cloth to a table aside, before sweeping a clawed digit across the cold midnight steel. “The murder of innocents,” the drawl of the Kharajyr’s worn voice resonates with a guttural growl of baritone malice, “Yet you surly declare war on those who stand neutral to your impending fall.” Glimmering brightsteel flashed in the scintillated firelight of the chamber around as the sword was swept through the hungry flames of a portal frame nestled deep beneath the confines of Lareh’thilln. Its black blade burst to life from chilled slumber, warped air emanating from the material like scalding coals. “Farrador does not yet know war, but now they shall – and with them, every spark of Xan will be trialed and suffocated.” -
Well, I certainly didn't say it shouldn't have limitations or be a cure-all.
-
I think it should. You as the writer of both have the ability to make it what you will, so personally I'd make it so. You could also make it eatable in small quantities like a charcoal tab to dilute and neutralize poisons that have been ingested.
-
While I believe this is an extended lore piece to your open CA to allow their venom neurotoxin to be more permissible, I do think this material is alright. I generally hate the idea of venom and poison in LoTC because annoying assassination becomes much more prevalent with its presence and this lore allows for it to exist. But it is a cool material that might make poisons and venoms much more acceptable and reasonable. Just maybe.

“The Paladins of Xan yet again spread their propaganda leaflets like a plague on the world as they pretend to be victims to the righteous sword of balance, as if undeserved. Let this distraction fall – the Inferi Menace are next. My mother’s demise will not be in vain.”

Venom bite is OP for a CA. Snakes do not always need to have venom, and it is a realistic but unnecessary addition; additionally, it states that it becomes useless on contact with air. I can think on the top of my head a few ways to loophole that, so it should be changed and/or the venom bite should be removed, imo. Fangs are already pretty strong by themselves given they are natural weapons plenty longer than most knives. A bite to the neck would incapacitate by itself. Additionally, there are absolutely no red lines or mentions of constricting a target. It seems like that might be a heavy-hitter to consider mentioning in some way, shape or form but I wouldn’t recommend adding it as an ability. Otherwise it looks alright. I’ve always wanted a snakeskin cowboy hat.

Really nice lore. Will it end up eventually incorporating continents not yet visited (IE: Aeldin)? Also curious if it will incorporate anything regarding Metztli regardless of her supposed death and the conquering/destruction of her claimed plane. -
got my pre-order ready
