  1. Alexandros frowned, reading the letter. "She lied to me." He said to himself. "Also, she really didn't have to say anything about that gravestone.."
  2. I think in general, the hubs were really great, but CT should not be in the center of the map, it should be off on it's own, sort of like a tutorial island. The walk to the hubs from the starting zone for new players should be significantly shorter and the tutorial area should be more noticeable. What is really important for the starter area for new players is the design language, it should be able to communicate what is the correct direction to go without signs or writing, though that can still be included. (Just keep in mind, even if you put signs and writing in, it does not mean new players will read it.) You should be able to walk / sprint jump down the road in one direction for less then two minutes and find an active RP hub. This means you need to actually delete inactive nations (Including racial status protected ones if there is another active RP hub of the same race.) and adjust the road accordingly to reflect that. (Whether that is making the road look broken up, or deleting it is up to you.) You also should be able to get to a RP hub without running out of hunger if you have no food. My suggestions are purely for the good of new player retention, so keep that in mind, I know there are other things to take into account.
  3. Yeah, if you want to make spear and long sword have vanilla swing timers, that is a step in the right direction for 1.9 PvP, still though, I would rather be focusing resources on changing the server back over to 1.8. There is no reason a roleplay server needs to use the more sweaty PvP version. There is a reason servers like hypixel etc use 1.8 PvP, because it is more accessible.
  4. I kind of feel like the most recent report is a great example of why we had private harassment reports. There is no reason everyone needs to know about that situation.

      @Gnomeh

Oh! I see now. I had been confused at first. I'm sorry about what happened.

That's good then. I am glad it has been privated. The only people who need to know about that situation are the people that are involved and the people deciding what is going to be done about it.

  5. Like I said, I literally have videos of full warclaims that happened on LoTC with 1.8 combat well after the 1.9 update that I recorded with over 180 players and there is no lag. It is possible, it has been done before. I even have footage of raids that took place with 70+ players involved on the main server. The recent test literally worked so flawlessly that they had to tone down how responsive it was because people were decimating each other in seconds with high click speeds. We could do more testing if that is an actual issue, but nothing has indicated this is the case so far, in fact all evidence has been pointing towards the contrary.
  6. It was working fine with like 40 people dueling each other on beta, the current 70v90 battles lag to **** anyways with 1.9 so I do not see why that is a good reason to keep 1.9 around. I assure you, the lag of the most recent warclaims is consistent with how laggy they were in the past. I also have videos of 1.8 PvP warclaims (WELL AFTER) the 1.9 update running flawlessly on LoTC With over 180 players involved.
  7. We were literally testing it and it worked flawlessly on beta not two months ago, they just need to turn it on LMAO
  8. 1.9 is dogshit, I am going to be honest the only people who are good at it are the people who consistently practice it. 1.8 is easier to learn, the fights are much quicker and it does not require you to consistently practice to remain good at the game. In my opinion, when we look at a system that requires someone to consistently practice it vs clicking really fast, we can plainly see what is more accessible and less of a pain for everyone. Half the server spam clicks anyways, please bring back 1.8
  9. These raid rules are incredibly skewed in favor of raiders, even moreso now that raiders can blow an entrance anywhere they please. Expecting smaller or even in some cases larger groups to be able to properly defend themselves from a sudden 12-28 player raid is unreasonable and if you wanted to go down this route, the raiders should have to inform enemies an hour prior of an incoming raid after a certain amount of players is surpassed.

  11. "This is being very based my friending." Says Nykolai while he twirls the corner of his mustache.
  12. "My brothers and sisters, let it be known it was we, the mali'ame that cured this land, both druids of the father circle and the greenblades of Nevaehlen! Ay'elame!" The Prideful elf with his untamed mane bashed a fist into his chest, then cheered out for the cleansed hollow. "Ay'elmani! Ay'elame! Ay'elmali'ame! Ay'eldruii!"

  14. "Hopefully the peace will last." said a Chieftain, hearing of the news from his inn room in Norland. The Elf did not drink often, but tonight he celebrated with the Norlandic populace. "Ay'elame!" He shouted before taking in a massive drag from his feathered pipe.
  15. So sad to see world team struggling on without an admin for so long, big props to @WestCarolina and @SoulReapingWolf for doing what they could without an admin on that top heavy team, I think ultimately this was the right decision.
  16. A red headed elf reads the missive. "Took longer then I expected." he said as he bundled the paper up to store in a box.
  17. Robin places his son's ashes amongst the Volaren tombs in the catacombs.
  18. Talim raises his pipe up. "You've done well with the place, Wyn!" He said before taking a long drag and blowing out the smoke through his mouth and nose.
  19. Doesn't a bottle of water have the same effect as the hydrophobic potion? I am pretty sure you can just pour water (OR ANY OTHER LIQUID) onto the tanglefoot while it is still hardening and it washes it away. Otherwise, solid +1 from me, I have always wanted a stink bomb for alchemy, but I was told it was a dumb idea.
  20. "Truly the alphas of the 'Ame!" States a certain elf with an untamed mane.
  21. I kind of wish that the other materials were buffed and thanhium remained the same. It's important that there is a progression, but at this point Thanhium is quite clearly on the top, the problem is, a lot of the metals need to be close to equal to steel, I think this is the wrong mindset. Azhl is dogshit, Lunarite is just steel but cooler, Frost salts are dogshit, I think all of these materials should be more powerful then a standard steel blade / armor when refined into a weapon or armor. I would love to see Azhl durability buffed and an in combat effect of fatigue. Star-steel now harms undead and magical creatures when glowing under natural light Frost salts now slow movement or hinder actions of enemies when applied to arrows / other projectiles. There's also no node materials for bows, bowstrings or anything archer / ranger related, there's also not really any good node materials for armor, and most of the materials are quite clearly made with swords / blades in mind, where is the hammer love? it's with carbarum, but carb is so rare, the ST don't even want to hand it out, what's the point of having it then? nerf it so it can be put back into the economy. So, yes, I think Thanhium is good where it's at (albiet, it needs to much harder to come by), but none of the other nodes, SAVE for boom, which could still use a buff are in a good place.
  22. Talim enjoys his well earned frog legs. "How strange his entourage claimed to know nothing of the Vale, then called it Miven town.. and what strange customs do the frog people hold.. posing in the shape of a T.." The Elf thought on as he finished the delectable meal. "Who could hold such a grudge against the Vale, I shall have to consult my mali kin.."
