Carrick, displaced from his home, glances up to Thomas Ruric as he passes, yelling out; "IT WAS ALMOST HARVESTING SEASON, M'LORD!" before he returns to silence.
-
"Wha's a Kha?" Carrick would ask having never met one of the three remaining catmen.
-
Scribbled extra on the bottom of his copy of the letter would also be; And before it is mentioned, I killed the old Vanir in defence of our citizens at our gates, yet it is often said to be the casus belli for the initial conflict. A nation that tries to prohibit us from defending ourselves from brigands is no nation for any sane man to remain under. This is why we fight. This is why we will win.

Scrawled hastily in ink at the bottom of the letter & returned is the following; *Bullying of citizens by nobles gone unpunished. *Attacks on the primary Orenian civilian population by the primary Orenian militant group. *Failure of the Emperor to follow up on promises made; granting of Kraken's Watch to Palaiologos, *Failure of the Emperor to protect the civilian militia that fought valiantly against the previous rebellion prior. *Failure of the governmental system of Oren to support the only domestic zone in punishment of the peace-breaking militants. *Ease at which our 'traitorous' leaders are swept aside, despite them being the reason of our fight. *Laughable hypocrisy posed in this very letter (not patronise [...] idiotic behaviour, not as slaves). Speaking of which, *Threats to enslave our peoples despite how the church claims to side with Oren against such sinful acts moreso than any account of Dreadlander 'heresy'. I believe that sums up many of the points that jump to mind.

To the People of the Southern Axis Powers
func_Soap replied to John Ivory's topic in Vailor Roleplay Archive
Carrick reminds the other hunters by the fire that it was the Vanirs unfortunately dying after a mere tapping of swords outside Riga that sparked the war followed by the false claims that a 7 year old boy magically enhanced to be decades older than he would have been claiming the Duchy that ignited the inferno that is the conflict.- 12 replies

Gruiedin would rise to a stand, his hands folded behind his back as he surveys the busy Dwarves. He would speak with a calm resoluteness unlike that of his father before him... "Elf ears. Three pairs. Diff'rent races, 'alf-elf included. Oi want som', don' care what ye' do wi't 'um afteh ye' shown 'um me, jus' get et don'. Den ye'll be worth som'then' to us." Gruiedin would sit back down, a smirk donning his face at the thought of the events to come. -

"Can't even fight a war wi'ou' their dirty tricks. Raev' scum."

"Purge th' Raev', ah'm 'osten' th' party t'night," Carrick would murmer with a glance down to Saltslicer the sword that was 'confiscated due to OOC BULLSHIT' from Ivan the Goldcorp. He'd then hear Demitrios say something about him getting a wife, to which he replies with a string of rather coarse language. ((Not my choice of words for the description of the sword BTW.))

Application Team Appdata - April
func_Soap replied to Fireheart's topic in News & Announcements Archive
Just a side effect of the races, I believe. For many gamers of both RP & generic varieties, Orcs are considered 'the bad guys' and I reckon both groups are quite exclusive to newcomers, whereas Orenian cultures are quite inclusive based simply on how competitive the different Duchies are in trying to compare to each other. There's more of a drive to gain members in Oren as quite often can player numbers lead to positions, albeit usually low ones. -
[Update!] New Payment System - The Crown Emporium

Feel free to make a suggestion for how else the server can raise enough money without introducing systems commonly seen in Free-to-play games such as CoC, Fractured space or LotC. Oh wait... -

Pretty sure it's only happening to make LotC comply to the EULA. That is to say we don't have a choice on the matter. -
[Update!] New Payment System - The Crown Emporium
func_Soap replied to Telanir's topic in News & Announcements Archive
Just checked on LOTC, current donors have been 'grandfathered' certain levels of VIP. I would presume that means some of the perks that will apply to different levels of donation (or just the current ones + the replacements for the ones we're losing perhaps) will already be unlocked. -

Demanding tributes should constitute trying to initiate a raid, maximum raid size should scale up with the activity of players in the area somehow so more ppl can be brought to raid a larger place (as would be realistic) without harming smaller communities. -
Carrick leans back in the pile of tartans & furs that don the seats of his hunting lodge with a sceptical grin; "Such ah nice island, too. Shame t' see anotheh set of owners go agen." A note from one of the other residents is then brought to his attention. "You read et then laddeh? We're awff t' slay som' more reb'l scum! Onleh theng a peasant army'll lestn' to; arms an' armour."
