Except that this is a rule enforced on pretty much EVERY other roleplay community Iâve been apart of. The problem boils down to the fact that death has almost no weight or meaning on LotC. People are allowed to do ridiculous, insane things because if they die.. well, they just respawn. And staff over the years have firmly taken the stance to not enforce PKs. I understand it, but I donât agree with it. The hundreds of other roleplay communities that do have these rules still thrive and people are still able to have fun. This isnât something that would suddenly kill the server. If anything I believe it would improve roleplay significantly, because people would be forced to take their personal safety more seriously.

This is a great topic, thank you for bringing it up for discussion. LotC has traditionally lacked in the department of fear and NVL rules and enforcements. Fear RP is almost always not enforced, as there are no rules specifically relating to it. The amount of times Iâve seen people quite literally laugh in the face of death physically pains me. The administration could really benefit from looking into NVL (Not Valuing Life) rules, because they encompass more than just suicide. In addition to covering something like your examples, they would cover people running into extreme danger without proper protections, performing extremely risky tasks or stunts, or just outright stupidity. I understand why the server doesnât enforce PK on every death, but that doesnât mean I agree with it or that itâs a good thing. Death has little meaning on LotC when you can just choose not to die, creating unrealistic and ultimately bad roleplay

@Telanir If you insist on taking up the Community Admin role, it should be exclusively to fill the gap in the interim where the Admin team finds someone more suited to the role. You are incredibly disconnected from the server on a community level, have little to no experience in recent years handling community issues, and when you have tried to handle things, it turned into a huge disaster. You even admitted to that. You are way too focused on good PR to make good, beneficial decisions for the community. I will be extremely disappointed if you continue to hold this position any longer than necessary until someone else is found.

âThere is constant mention of LOTC having pedophiles and little to no actual reports. We ask that instead of talking about how there are pedophiles, you report the people who you know are. How can staff be âprotectingâ someone when they have no idea who youâre referencing?â

Imagine thinking this, lol, youâre a mod, youâre not important enough or allowed to get pedophelia reports reported to you. Pedophelia has been historically covered up which is not up for debate. You can submit a pedophelia report, it will take months to be even responded to MEANINGFULLY. Covering it up is above your paygrade. @devvy

dont get me wrong, I donât hate the game and I accept that itâs really popular for a reason but itâs a formula thatâs been done a million times. Itâs literally just garrys mod murder, or murder mystery, or whatever else has done it before. I just personally donât see the appeal that has hundreds of thousands of people playing it lmao

I think the most interesting factor is the voting. I mean I expect more innovation than that for me to play a game but, I have to admit that it does give people stuff to do besides yell at or shoot each other like in gmod TTT. The added mechanics seem to bring a little depth, actual plotting can happen while civs are busy instead of just sitting around until a murder. You also have a lot more to talk about in terms of your alibi. Minigames seem kinda fun.
