It is not possible to not oocly blacklist people with the ooc way of life on lotc. If one of the rebels joins Oren and hears of some strategic plan in a skype chat he /will/, without doubt, pass it on to his buddies in the rebellion. The fact that everyone on this server does what he does with at least a fair bit of ooc involved, makes ooc blacklisting essential to at least having a chance to win this long lost war.

I mean from the city, not the Skype chats.

The constant attacks from dark beings made the Druids RP being attacked because of no ward.
The Druids RPed complaining about such attacks because of no ward.
The Holy League RPed complaining and threatning my character because of no ward.
My character went over and RPed talking to the Druids about their past refusal to have a ward.

The Druids then RPed asking for a ward.

My character then RPed making a ward for the Druids.
The Druids then RPed happily having a feast to celebrate their new ward and continued their merriment.
My character now RPly walks back and forth, recharging the ward every day (But Christmas).

That explains the Why.

The Where is explained in the signs. 'Here'. It is obviously blocking the 3x3 Entrance to the tree.

How are you supposed to get past it?

That's for you to figure out. I haven't been on to recharge it. You can emote getting thru it, if you wish, but the gate right behind it seems more of a problem than the ward, honestly.

Where is the Gem?

Clerical Gem/Crystal Wards are actually NOT in the official lore anywhere, thus should not be used. I stay away from breaking the official lore rules. We ward the land, not an object.

Why does it make RP?

Well, it did. It made plenty of RP for other people, just not you or your group. If you follow the chain of events however, you can see who caused this.

I generally believe if your character is killed in an area (especially if its 4 times) you shouldn't repeatedly return there over and over and continue to be a consistent problem for the people living there. respect the fact you died and go RP elsewhere. that just applies to the character of course. i dont have an issue with people coming back to RP as another toon other than the one which was killed

Subtle advertisement is subtle.

Only problem I have with the clerical wards are the number of signs that accompany it. Maybe if they added a feature where you just right click a single sign and it shows a [!] emote.

Maybe because if people are getting attacked on an almost daily basis and a few people have even PK'd from it so far, and there's a way to prevent that, there's no IC reason not to take the magic anti-spook wall when it's offered.

From a Druids' perspective, we were getting attacks the size of raids nearly every day, and I understand that's RP and all what with us being on conflicting ideological sides, but it was getting to the point where it was almost impossible to get any other kind of RP done because someone would waltz up and try to hit us up for more antag RP immediately after we finished burying our dead from the last assault. A ward was offered to us IC, saying, "Hey maybe you can stop getting attacked in your own home right?" and a unanimous "YES, PLEASE LET US BREATHE" was spoken by everyone in the grove.
