  10. [MArt] Valek's Cage

Name of Artifact: Valek’s Cage MC Name of person(s) currently in possession of Artifact: BigDong21 RP Name of person(s) currently in possession of Artifact: Aehesir MC Name of creator(s) of Artifact (N/A if not applicable): BigDong21 RP Name of creator(s) of Artifact (N/A if not applicable): Aehesir Effect(s) of Artifact: A unique suit of plate armor composed and reinforced with black steel and carbarum alike with strange runes lining its surface. Upon feeding the assembled set with quintessence would a dormant, necrotic taint awaken within the armor that curses the wearer with a numbing sensation that blocks out any other; slowly picking at their own lifepool meanwhile. A terrible wrath and hunger for bloodshed would fill the wearer’s mind upon activation for addition, riddling of any phobia for the edge of conflict. Aside with this does the Cage amplify a weaver’s touchdrain, scratching one emote of the total count relative to the caster’s tier needed to perform such an incantation. This is done by the initial lifeforce given to activate the armor’s powers, and any other lifeforce drained will be fueled into the armor instead of to the wearer to saturate its mental affinity but also the taint; making its pull on the wearer harsher. This forces whoever uses this artifact into a wicked cycle, where using this empowered drain unintentionally empowers the armor's taint in return; forcing the user to reap even more life in rinse and repeat. Their minds shift into an allmore maddening anger in this process, erasing the lines of morality or right and wrong entirely as the call for blood is all that strikes their thoughts. Their bodies would break and bleed with no given acknowledgement, as if the tips of their nerves had been seared off. With these quarks summarized, one can see definitely foresee that nothing good will come out of utilizing this armor's wicked powers. Every strength comes with weakness. Divine arts may also temporarily knock out the armor’s curse, rendering it mundane lest a weaver repairs its effects. Veteran use of this relic will repercussion in deterioration of musculature from its user and mental likewise, such as schizophrenia, paranoia and beyond. A sickly bond may also be made with the suit, forever beckoning the owner to fit themself within it just one more time… Red Lines of Artifact: The armor’s effects will only activate by a relative saturation of quintessence, though the necromantic sorceries it is imbued with will always claw at any lifeforce; no matter how dormant. As so, this relic will drain the user wheter they have fed it with lifeforce or not; although minimally with an equally impish reward. One may stifle the armor’s effects by removing an essential part of its set, like the helmet or the cuirass. With this being said, the artifact’s powers may only be unlocked upon wielding the entire set (excluding any decoratives). Roleplaying the downgrades of using the armor regarding direct exposure or veteran usage is essential. The armor is reinforced, though not inpregnable. Any divine-related magics that strike the armor will obliterate its powers during the remainder of associated roleplay. A necromancer could manually do the same by a lengthier process of malforming the imbued lifeforce. The armor must be consistently fed lifeforce in order for the necromantic incantations weaved within it to exist, else should these powers starve and vanquish; forcing the re-creation of a brand new set. Though the artifact unlocks bestial strength within the wearer, they are still not invulnerable. Beneath the incredible potential it provides, they are still flesh and blood beneath. Magic is unable to be cast under the pressure of the suit, this especially regarding necromancy. Should a necromancer wear the suit any reanimations linked to the mentioned will drop dead along with any other sorceries that passively saps the caster's lifepool. With their arsenal reduced to only their drain, attempt to cast anything more sophisticated will tear the wielder's lifepool apart and inevitably kill them. Explanation of effect(s) (i.e. how it does what it does - slight bending of magic lore is allowed): The armor is imbued with a varying string of curses and afflictions meant to ail the mind and body, tied and saturated by the worked taint that acts like a conduit of the lifeforce given by the wearer to power mentioned conjurations. The suit’s effects was originally imbued with the bountiful essence of an obelisk. Number of duplicates of this Artifact: None. Do you agree to keep the MT updated on the whereabouts and ownership of this Artifact by using the Magic List Errors?: Yes. Have you applied for this Artifact before, and had it denied? If so, link the app: No.
