  1. Joel made a your mum joke to me once, never forgave him. So proud of Squak though, really getting over that terrible car accident.
  2. "Ah 'elped kill 'em once and ah'll do it again." Remarked Crevin Starbreaker, secretly pleased to be back at war.
  3. This post is funny as hell, but seriously my guy go take a break. Fun as schizo posting is this is a bit of a yikes so maybe just take a week off the server and go do something else.
  4. Big man you should probably define what potions cause what effects. Other then that I can't wait to disable an alchemist's entire arsenal by having three voidal mages surround me at all times who just connect to the void whenever someone throws a potion at me. Also does this means I can just throw fireball rings at alchemists and detonate all their potions at once?
  5. I've become so much like Avaeramos it's scary. I wear black armor, verbally assault women, and physically assault my friends. When I look in the mirror, I can't help but say "戦い, 戦い" (which means fight, fight in common.) I grew my hair out long because I don't care so now I have to wear it in a bun and I don't care what people think so shut **** up Spoon! I always leave an open wound on my hand, and go out of my way to show it to everyone so they are reminded that I am in control. When I see kha being taken on walks I get mad at them for not being free like I am. I can't ftb with my girlfriend anymore without forcing her to dress up as Rhaella or Naeri , both of whom remind me of Dael. When I order fast food, I refuse to call them french fries and insist on calling them azdrazi fries. I just keep moving forward, until my enemies are destroyed.

  6. I've been here a while and when I cared more about the server I basically read every lore submission. That's not me bragging, just prefacing. I've seen new players post wack ass techlock breaking **** and you know what happened? Polite critique. Hanrahan has a uh... reputation if you will. A reputation for toxicitiy and breaking the techlock more times then I care to count. People are toxic there because hanrahan is literally the embodyment of "How many times do we have to teach you this lesson old man?" at this point. Also people have been shitposting gun lore well before Oren went through a colonial phase so people saying it's an attack against Oren really need to put down the victim card.
  7. A certain grey-haired, though surprisingly youthful, man mutters to himself. "All the information we had said that the Evar'tir guy was gone, pretty from the entire world, during the time this skinning thing happened. How on earth could he have been responsible? Elves, they're crazy."
  8. I know this is just a rep farm, but good job anyway.

  12. Iratus reads the missive with a nod, taking some time before he quietly spoke to himself. "When their city has burned and they are all dead I will rest."
  13. Isaac's example was perhaps a bad one so as me and him are kind of in agreement on this issue I'll elaborate. Isaac, and myself to a degree, believes that all magics should have some permanent physical or mental downside to them that applies even when not casting. For instance, the voidal mage's weakness or a the obsessions of a blood mage. This magic lacks any such permanent downsides so it would be a straight upgrade for say a melee combat character as they'd now have ranged abilities with 0 consequences. While the inability to sustain other magic's is perhaps a step in the right direction we feel that it is too minor as to use the example of a man with a full-thanhium armoury he will not care about losing access to druidism and will therefore only receive upsides. In regards to an issue with the existence of an astral magic I personally have no stake in that debate.
  14. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Why does Arcanism necessitate an event? If we're doing that because it's a relatively old magic that got the boot then when we're giving lightning evo its event? We can't force a magic to be cultural, if only we could, but there's a tendency on LoTC to be more willing to pass around weaker magics, everyone and their mother has housemagery and fire evo, so that'll help with it being cliqued because this isn't the 20 spell powerhouse that Arcanism ended up as. That magic is mainly MArt creation, with some servants thrown in for spice, so shouldn't majorly overlap with this.
  15. I don't have much advice, bar ditching the glowing eyes, but holy **** the fact you're actually asking is quite impressive. Good luck you got this.
  16. Aight, I have no screenshots so this is going to be a rambling trip down memory lane. First, shout out to that random Orener in 2016 who thought my homeless elf was a spy so dragged me inside a barracks and shot me in the head with a crossbow, that's my first real memory of LoTC. One of my favourite memories is the Sunset Khaganate. We were a bunch of people living out in the Urguan desert and it was massive fun, still have my skin from it. Best part about it was this random group was attacked by Oren in the coalition war and was the actual site of the battle where we began to push them back which'd eventually end up with J-Burg being nuked. I think this war was when I fell in love with war claims because from then on they were always my favourite part of the server. Speaking of J-Burg that leads on to my next favourite memory, Mordskov. Despite being an edgy **** back then, still am honestly, I absolutely loved it. One of the few event lines I've actually felt scared in because if my character died this was it. Lot of the people I met then don't play anymore but I still have the memories. Favourite part of Mordskov was probably legging it from the Thanhic hulk, a big gorilla. I still remember when we thought we'd got away and the thing fell through the god damn ceiling and right onto my character's head. I still hold that Mordskov is the best event line on the server and proof that events can't be open to everyone as if Suticans were there (no offence Sutica) it'd probably have been a lot worse. Post-Mordskov me and a few friends built a little freebuild thing, where we indoctrinated gameingg's meme character, and just messed around. We used to go and start **** in Sutica all the time, causing mass fights, and just generally having fun. Also nearly collapsed Holm's government, so bloody close, which was an amazing moment because it was just a bunch of people nearly collapsing a nation. Speaking of Holm, I remember when we ran through the Holm courtroom while Hiro (in an instance of metagaming) was reporting that we had a frost witch among our ranks. It was honestly amazing timing and had me cackling in vc. Finally, there was the Fennic bar fight. So in Fenn there was a festival, ran by Phoenixshot, and a certain group, led by people we oocly called Kylo Ren and Bella Delphine, and we had a bit of an argument with them. Eventually hands got thrown and like the 5 or 6 of us, can't remember how many of my friends were there, ended up having to fight the group we'd pissed off and all the Fenn guards who showed up. I think that was one of the only times we ever worked together perfectly as well as, except I think one guy, managed to escape relatively unharmed. I didn't mention the genocide we waged against Hiro but that's just a given.
  17. Unironically this. The first few weeks are, I think, important as hell to LoTC to actually keep players. I don't remember much of my first few weeks but I do remember being chased down a hill by a dreadlander before being executed as well as learning how to break into the eternal library. That's why I'm still here, because of the chaos of the initial days. In my first few weeks I didn't join a nation, wouldn't join a nation until I made my dwarf, but I stuck around because of the good natured chaos. When interesting **** starts happening again consistently then retention will rise.
  18. Please never use the word "sexy" to describe anything to do with cat people.
