  1. I’ll stop posting after this, but it’s ridiculous you’ve convinced yourself of this. 0 RP to this, as you can see in this link. Suffice to say, I take no validity to mind to the RP. Just some BS RP that led into PvP (don’t even remember the entirity of it). I escaped completely and sat around at the gate, thinking that all was kosher. The 10 minutes passed, you arrived at the gates and he opened it because being the cool guy he is, he wanted to make sure all the rules were followed. Understand, I *made* the escape. I lost you. If I had known, I would’ve continued the run. https://imgur.com/a/fnGA8x1 If you continue to refuse to accept it, then I’ll let it be. Just wanted to set this record straight for a while now. But I do wish the best for you, truly.
  2. this is simply not true. It was keefy, and there was 0 RP to him opening the gate. He opened it because he didn’t want to get in trouble with GMs. What you’re saying is simply false.
  3. You mean when I successfully made the escape of you and the others, lost all 4 of you, and shut the gate of Sutica and just sat there for 4 minutes, but then you got GMs to open the gates anyway, even though it exceeded the 10 minutes of the PvP? Do you mean that time? Think what you want about the RP, but I hardly give it any validity or thought.
  4. I didn’t, but I find it hilarious that one would make an rp post bragging about their 9 year old beating a hardened orcish warrior, and declaring it canon.
  5. Beacuse with PvP default, a nine year old can take an orc. I love things making sense
  6. Let me claim a spot...I'll PM on discord when you accept my friend request

  8. I feel like wailing at someone with a metal arm is a combat advantage.
  9. "Gotta protect the halflings." Says a certain cousin.
  10. Richard Baruch chuckles in his torment.
  11. @LorelessPuddleMancer not sure if I just missed it in the read, but do the transcendents feel things like anger, sadness, joy, etc etc? I know previously, ghouls n’ such were void of emotion.
  12. Richard mutters in his daily torment, cursing under his breath for his dear daughter as he watches below. “Ye’ mingled with the enemy! Haensemen are not to be trusted.” Giles Curthose smiles, happy for his sister-in-law. “An Avern that didn’t turn lesbian...be’est there I shalt.”
  13. Not entirely what metagaming means. Metagaming is using ooc knowledge and using it in character, ie knowing where someone was kidnapped irp because they were told in PMs. Making a choice based in OOC is a horrible way to play the server, agreed, but a situation like a nation refusing to go to war because they don’t want to be squashed for their actions is hard to prove. Anyone can come up with a roleplay reason for almost anything.
  14. I think this has an overall good premise, but I think it’s ridiculous both sides have to agree on a war. A settlement can now do what they want without consequence.
  15. Many years ago, a warrior, who in spite of his orders, gave himself to save a fallen comrade--Giles Curthose of Halsworthy. It took setting at the battle of Xionfall, where the valiant Winter Frontier fought the unknown threat of the wall to protect the southern people of Atlas. A soldier was stripped from the fortifications the defenders prepared and was quickly slain by the hordes of enemies. Helpless, they slowly closed in. Giles surged from the safe area and heaved him on his shoulder. The enemies quickly blocked their path back, and although Giles attempted to flee with the man upon his shoulders, he was caught by the demon leading the assault. He was beaten and left to his fate. A group of Halsworthians scoured for Giles’s body after the battle of Xionfall, but returned in vain. They assumed the worst. To their oblivion, Ajax Ironwood found him first, who was previously rescued by the hands of Giles. In repayment of his debt, he brought him to cloud temple where the monks preserved his life. However cheating death came with a price. Giles woke up, blinded from a head injury when he battled the demon. They did their best to nurture him back to health, but attempts to cure his blindness ended in failure. Giles remained at cloud temple for some time, aging into his caducity. However, a few years after the establishment of a new temple in Arcas, Giles set off into the world again. Giles moved among many groups over the next decade, who each tended to his needs and provided for him, but his travels eventually brought him to Sutica. There, he remained for some time. Giles’s moments in Sutica were uneventful, and slowly pieces of the man began to melt away. He was growing old, and he sensed that his time would soon come to an end. He became a full-time beggar, hardly surviving on the scraps he was given. The once renowned warrior was brought to a faint shell of his former self, longing each day for the swift end that would finish him. He felt like nothing more than a parasite of the fruits of other’s labors. An ordinary day rose, and Giles, as per usual, pondered the streets in search for a perch to rest his frail stature. Busy merchants came and left the streets as they pleased, few taking pity to him and leaving behind donations. As he did most days, Giles sat blankly for many hours, body hardly keeping him awake. Although Giles didn’t recognize it at first, Leofwine Curthose, Giles’s older cousin and father figure, had arrived in Sutica that day. He offered Giles a donation, which got the two talking. After a while, the conversation eventually led to an introduction. It had been so long...Leofwine was reluctant to believe that it was Giles at first but was convinced in time. A wealthy man, Leofwine had a keep west of Arcas in the wildlands. “I’ll take you there. A cozy home to die in?” Leofwine said with a chuckle. Giles agreed, but he wasn’t going there to die. Before he parted this world, he would make a difference--a positive difference. He had work to do, but at least now, he was back with his family...
  16. [!] A courier posts advertisements among the major nations and settlements of Arcas. Upon sailing in the flee of Atlas to Arcas, our ship has suffered considerable damage. Since then, its conditions have only declined. For negotiable prices, we are looking to higher a shipwright to repair our vessel. If interested, send us a courier to the following directions. -Giles of House Curthose ((Looking for someone to help build a ship I can’t quite get right. IGN LeoRabbit99, or discord name Leorabbit99#2143.))
  17. An old human readies himself for a journey to Fenn to honor his loved one. ((Dont you mean the 6th of July?))
  18. I think strives should be made to soft shelf something before you just outright hard shelf something, or at least implement a reason for a magic’s disappearance. In my experience, I’m talking in regards of necromancy. I’m a normal player and couldn’t possibly be expected to rewrite necromancy. I knew it for no more than a few months, but it legitimately became a huge part of my persona’s plot. But because someone else thinks it has some issues, now I lose an essential portion of my character’s roleplay? I would’ve been fine with it not progressing further, or even losing it completely if there was a reason in roleplay, but just ‘poof’ gone? For no credible RP reason (to my knowledge)? You just lose your abilities just cuz
  19. Richard watches Hiren longingly from the desert of the damned. At least his Hiren wouldn’t suffer the same fate, and that brought him some joy...

  21. After Richard died, by far my favorite and most played persona, I’ve been big sad--and have been tempted multiple times to just cheap it out and turn him into a ghost or something. Playing a character for 2 years and going through his experiences really attached me to him. But I’ll stay true to my clause. People should PK when it calls for it, I think. I think that if overall everyone did that, the server, in general would just feel more immersive and dangerous. I don’t think LotC will ever have that same life for me, but I hope I can at least find some solace of enjoyment on my new character ?
