I don't have a super strong opinion on this but I do agree with the sentiment of being forced to PK because you didn't do some self RP with a sapling or something, and I generally dislike lore authoritarianism, but this conversation would benefit far more from addressing a flaw in the system or attacking something more fundamental than writing a multi-paragraphed anecdote. this post is really reactionary and accusing everyone involved of ooc plotting and bias is really weak and so tired however saying "you signed up for it" is just rlly deflective. when you see a leaky faucet do you say "well I bought the faucet so I signed up for this" or do you try to fix the faucet? conversely this is something that, if it's so awful, should have been amended a while ago and it would have been like 2-3 sentences and a lore submission to fix. idk anything about tree lords so I might just be talking out of my ass and it's a nuanced situation but oh well

if people want to remove the alternate CC creation rite there should be another way to make them that isnt either getting your own character pregnant or finding another pregnant character to do so. the modern cursing rite was added so those who don't enjoy interacting with pregnancy or childbearing themes have an alternate means of creating CC if the former isn't something they want to engage with

I support changing the respawn process for infernals, I do feel bad for killing you that one night but it just would have been very contradictory of RP to let an inferis go free. I generally don't support extensive respawn timers for any CAs or MAs across the server so hopefully these amendments are received in kind to reflect the desires of the playerbase

inferi dont need polymorphing 😭

the best way to encourage interaction is through granting inferi the meaningful narrative tools to do so while cutting down on the risk of interacting with non-naztherak truthfully the maleus ember aura thing can just be removed outright because I didnt know this was a thing and I never see any inferi RP it so I think most ppl just forget it exists

tbh just remove the ooc respawn timer for inferi and just make it how the old lore was in that u cant cast for a few OOC days and are weak and flimsy (or something else that). ooc respawn timers in general suck and there are better more effective ways to enforce "punishment" without just taking away someones character for a week

such a shame that we're losing another ambitious tech member. you introduced some great stuff to the server, so while it's a shame to see you go it's wholly understandable. hopefully you find a better outlet to pour your talent into

there's absoltuely no excuse for removing xarkly and spoopy and it's vile to do so as though they were the ones to blame for all of this upset. pushing the blame onto them is absolutely beyond words and is clearly a thinly-veiled attempt to course the narrative into an issue with mod team structure, rather than admin infighting
