━━━━━━━━┛ ✠ ┗━━━━━━━━ TECH TEAM UPDATE FEBRUARY 2022 ━━━━━━━━┓ ✠ ┏━━━━━━━━ ANNOUNCEMENTS Greetings! Currently the team has been working on many projects. Most noticeably, the rollback! FINALLY! The rollback for items lost on November 6th has been completed, all items can now be found in your Item Cache. To facilitate this, ender chests have been placed in each capital, independent settlement, and travel hub (in a generally central location). If you did not receive your items don’t hesitate to make a new /rbreq, just make sure your Item Cache has been emptied first. Ender chests and /rbreqs will be available for two weeks, after that we will be unable to assist people who are still missing items. Soulbound items: Hit 'Q' on them to 'drop them' out of the ender chest - they will reappear in your inventory. Are you interested in knowing more about what the tech team is working on? Fear no more, a new roadmap has been created on GitHub! All of our current and recently finished projects will be listed up there. Also, the tech discord is back up and running! ━━━━━━━━┛ ✠ ┗━━━━━━━━ MODERATION TEAM UPDATE FEBRUARY 2021 ━━━━━━━━┓ ✠ ┏━━━━━━━━ INTRODUCTION Greetings! This month seemed to go by quick and our month has been busy! We surpassed last month's ticket amount by 300! Following that, a few new projects are currently being worked on which will hopefully be completed soon. I’m happy to say we also received questions from the last feedback form and they are answered at the end of the post! Finally, at the end of the month we were left with a treat from @Treshure that you can find here. PROJECTS Active Interviewing [COMPLETE] In the past our interviewing has been infrequent and usually done with large groups of applicants at a time. We are moving to more regularly bring on new mods and improve our interview process to ensure everyone gets an opportunity to interview and we are able to gain more insight in the process. (Applications are still open!) Project Lead: TheIchorDruid Moderation Feedback [IN PROGRESS] In order to better serve the community and take more accountability in our duties as moderators, we are going to actively keep open and review feedback given to moderation. See the link at the end of the post to give moderation feedback. Project Lead: Peachcool Forum Cleanup [IN PROGRESS] In order to keep our forums clean and organized we are currently working on improving our archiving and ensuring our forums are orderly while making it easier for members of our community to access what they are looking for. Project Lead: Devvy Coup rules [IN PROGRESS] Expansion of the Rule System to cover internal conflict such as civil wars, coup d'etat and other situations where War is not between two separate nations, but instead groups within a nation. Project Lead: MuyPollo Holy War [IN PROGRESS] Expansion of the War System to cover wars over religion, relics and other similar areas of conflict. Project Lead: crazyeights11 Permitted Server Mods [IN PROGRESS] This project is simply about the permitted mods on the server. There will be clarifications about what kind of mods can be used and rules around them. I’ve decided to push back this project because I’m very busy with school but I’m hoping it will be finished soon. Project Lead: Peachcool STATISTICS Moderation received 1,470 tickets during the month of February. Their quota is based on 3% of total tickets, this does not include their activity requirements involving reports, appeals and interviewing. Peachcool, Taketheshot56, Ichor all took a two week hiatus Arkantos left the team. A: To put it simple the moderation secretary helps write the forum posts, plan meetings, and keep track of projects within the team. ━━━━━━━━┛ ✠ ┗━━━━━━━━ MODERATION TEAM UPDATE JANUARY 2021 ━━━━━━━━┓ ✠ ┏━━━━━━━━ INTRODUCTION Greetings! First of all, happy new year to you all! It’s finally 2021. It sure has been a hectic year and I think we can all be glad that it’s over. Following this, I’m going to be trying to get out posts every month to keep things transparent with the community and the moderation team. I know people don’t like being left in the dark! The team and I are all excited to keep you guys updated and we are also excited to take in more feedback than previously. I took it upon myself to write a little feedback form that you guys can fill out anonymously every month. (p.s the form is at the end of the post!) ANNOUNCEMENTS Interviews are in progress and new applicants are still being accepted. In addition see below for new projects and the link to give feedback. PROJECTS Almaris War-Rewrite [COMPLETED] Over the past months to even a year, the server has been sort of in a limbo of not having a definitive set of war rules and guidelines for how the community can proceed with meaningful conflict. After the project changed hands a couple times we put together a team and created a system over the past month. While some wars have been allowed to proceed they lacked consistency, staff backing and a sense of urgency for conflict to be taken seriously. We have now finished our first draft of LoTC's new War System. With wars, this post and these rules are not the final stop on our path to creating meaningful conflict on the server, as we are doing with the server rules, player feedback is incredibly important, as is transparency. So in addition to server rules, there will also be a post with a change log of any changes made to the system. In addition to hotfixes and player suggestions, we also have a set of planned updates or expansions on the war system War Post War Rules Project Lead: Markosi, Basket Permitted Server Mods [IN PROGRESS] This project is simply about the permitted mods on the server.
