not at all ! in recent days, I've found a good bit of fun rp with strangers - plenty of fresh faces paying a visit to the city, some rly good rp had ! not sure if this is just a me thing as i tend to actively try pull new folk into conversation when i can, but yeah; i think making-new-friends rp is definitely out there :]

The elf commented to those around him, some assistants in the harvesting of produce, and to his kin. [!] The High Elven Sohaer signed the document, a weight upon his chest exhaled - the burden lifting just slightly, though still yet placed - and further challenges undoubtably ahead. "A llir for the Mali'thill people - and a fine llir they have been." spoke the Miravaris to his accompanying delegation. "One looks forward to the development between our people; a furthering of knowledge even now to this 'spirit realm'.." he marveled, a gemstone twirled in left hand - when returned to his palm, it would change in colour, a twinkle in the elf's gaze as he toyed with it. "The Heroic Scholars of the Silver State, and the remarkably Scholarly Heroes of the Iron'Uzg; combining our strengths, a formidable pairing indeed - to hold this balance, the twining of supposed dichotomy. This long-held grudge with the Uruk people, from times of old, finally settled in unity; truly a bright time we live within." As the delegation returned home, his gaze raised to the sky - a night's scene, speckled with stars and stamped with moon. "One can only hope that Larihei would smile fondly upon this. Let us look forth to the renewed pursuit of both scholarship and hiylun - Larihei herself was ne lacking in combatitive skill. [!] From afar, a high elven fellow of the Silver State would hear a passing-by Haenseti visitor mention something of 'Ruby and Silver' ; his attention briefly peaked - the colours of his own Talonnii mentioned - before swiftly realising the Jubilee was one only for the people of Haense after a further inquiry to the traveller.

Sohaer Alaion Miravaris leaves his home, switching from his dweeby little dark academia playlist - titled with some pretentious literature quote, something like "🕯️I am not young enough to know everything🕯️" - to one with the playlist name of just "☀️🎶" - this playlist consisting of a variety of folk music, mostly the Oh Hellos, a couple sea shanties and even a few bits of lighter-end folk-punk sneaked into the tail end.

"It seems mister Aildhuin simply does not have the ability to write a bad paper; year after year, these fine publications only improve-!" The Sohaer would sip his tea, reclaiming his seat after a rather strange series of events; a copy had been dragged into the Night-Owl Parlour by a particularly off-kilter crow, blood dripped in its feathers from the downpour outside. The Miravaris had just finished having to take a broom to the creature, which exhibited some great hostility, batting it back out of the establishment - thank Larihei he was safe inside, for now.

I love a good bit of lore that just adds flavour and colour to this fantasy realm. +1

All I wish to see is a small map please god please, from my walls I want my neighbours to be practically in render distance. Small map is so much more conducive to RP - small map, and allow things like roadside taverns to pop up more easily !! As much as I understand the main focus of LotC has always tended to revolve around nation-entities, I feel that especially with a smaller, condensed map, a much more organic approach could be taken. I feel sometimes we forget the importance of building a story and providing an enjoyable, interactive rp experience > ooc machinations and large-scale nation managements, activity counts and regions and rule red-lines and that, with everyone adapting their rp to fit these ooc clique and conflict needs rather than the other way around; I want to see people cooperating to build conflict rp, I want to see a fluid, engaging story unfold that allows each player to play their part. Not everything has to be a world war, nor does it have to be stale, dry slice-of-life rp with the same 3 people you see every day. This is not to say world wars or slice of life are bad - if done well, they are fantastic - but a little more of in-the-middle, fantasy-esque experience is really what I think this server ought to be about, and I'd imagine is the vision that the majority of new players would hold upon getting first introduced to the idea of the server before joining in. Really hoping with the new direction mission statements this can be something we strive towards again, and I believe very wholeheartedly that a small, condensed map is absolutely key to this - forcing people to interact in actual rp on a day-to-day basis that is not just through raids or a one-off visitor breaks down that wall of ooc groups that know each other only on bad terms so much, and I genuinely feel that its something that would benefit people a great deal. Plus, smaller map makes it much easier for ET to create engaging and open events/event-lines !! I would love to see more ET events that naturally impact the world and are more rounded, not just combat events that tend to cater to a very specific type of player. I'm sure there are plenty of events like this that have happened that I've just not had the fortune of being privy to, but just dropping some thoughts here anyhow !

hi friends, the only comment i'm gonna make on this is - if you're looking for evidence of avoided rp/rp not taken seriously, I've plenty to give. since the situation is concluded and I don't wanna drag out petty argument, gonna move past and let bygones be bygones, but yeah - I'm just as disappointed by some of the lack of rp/ignored rp by some parties. ((i never got my cool debate rp)) still, I hope to move forward and prove that we aren't just 'holding haelun'or' for no reason; its on us now to push some good rp, and keep up the energy from the conflict !! I wish twi's group all the success they can get in getting started with their new settlement, looking forward to seeing their unique rp succeed, even if it wasn't compatible with the rest of haelun'or. <3 now, back to work,,, o77
