Laws and Legislation of Malinor

Citizen Acknowledgment Act

I. Concerning proper Citizen Etiquette
II. Settlement Lawfulness; Basic Laws
III. Affirmation of the Malinorian Ethic
IV. Punishment of Disobeying Common Law

---

I. Concerning proper Citizen Etiquette

- The Mali of the Shining Elven Princedom are to abide laws, act respectful and keep the peace. They are not authorized to disobey the direct order of a Lumi’drim if they commit crimes or are directly involved in said crimes. They are not authorized to act as a guard force without being apart of the Lumi’drim. Citizens hold no authority above the Lumi’drim or any future Malinorian military that is to be instated. Citizens may not act as vigilantes.

- Citizens are to follow the Ethic. Citizens are not permitted to associate with those branded Varsele and are to report the said Varsele or face punishment. Citizens are to act peaceful as Malin intended. Citizens are to welcome visitors into Malin’s forests should they bode well and seek the Lumi’drim if the visitors act as a threat.

II. Settlement Lawfulness; Basic Laws

- The common Mali does not steal.

- The common Mali keeps the peace and does not break the silence of the forests unless pressed.

- The common Mali does not commit murder.

- The common Mali follows the word of the Lumi’drim, the sole recognized military of Mali’nor.

- The common Mali does not scorn it’s brethren. The little-numbered are not to spread strife amongst it’s peoples.

- The common Mali respects the views of others.

- The common Mali acts in honesty and not in deceit.

- The common Mali shall follow the wishes of the Elvenking Malin and his descendants in power, such as they be.

- The common Mali shall not befall harm upon Elven broodlings, or shall be branded Varsele.

- The common Mali shall not practice the Dark Arts or abuse any destructive magics in the forests of the Mali. Violators shall face harsh punishment.

- The common Mali shall not scorn the forests.

-The common Mali shall not adorn armor within the forests if they are not of the High-Council or Lumi'drin.

- The common Mali shall not obscure themselves. No hoods, no masks.

III. Affirmation of the Malinorian Ethic

Mali are to follow the Holy Malinorian Ethic without question and for the good for the nation; it is as follows:

http://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/98989-the-malilumi-ethic/ ]

The common Mali’nor citizens is to keep close to the guidelines and boundaries of the Ethic. The Ethic is to guide the Elven peoples into prosperity and failure to uphold its laws (or denial to) will cause the “offender” to face minor punishment if not stern warnings.

IV. Punishment of Disobeying Common Law

The punishment for a transgression of these sacred laws shall be both immediate and devastating, for the Peace of Malin must be treasured above all things.

For theft, the punishment shall be branding upon the right hand or wrist, in easy view of any who may wish to avoid such personages. The brand shall be in the shape of a flame.

For murder, the most unholy of acts, the penalty is branding and a loss of a small appendage (finger, ends of ones’ ears, smaller things) for repeat offenders.

Disobeying Common Law shall grant jail-time to the offender. Harsh punishment can scale from removal of a limb, granting of a scar or extensive jail time.

The punishment of most heinous crimes deems the offender Varsele shortly after branding.

Vierna blinks "Dark Arts? That doesn't make you evil..." She frowns, wandering off.

The click-clack of stygian boots  echoed throughout the home of the Z'ress. The fires crackled, illuminating the dark corridors of the citadel, hiding with the mountains. Violet eyes scanned their surroundings- The pupils dark, and empty. With a curt grunt, the eyes lock upon the poster, posted on a wooden wall within the citadel.

"Glorious," the figure would mumble, clad in the attire of his clan. With a sharp motion, his body swivels to the side, continuing it's way towards the surface. As he exits the hollow ruins, black, fiery markings recede from his right arm, crawling hastily towards the back of his neck as the sunlight beams down upon the ashen skinned Mali'ker.

'Battou' Pherak squints his red eyes as he reads the paper, taking a nice deep draw of his cactus green blunt.

"How unfortunate, Dark Arts not able to be used in Malinor.. Well that makes me want to do it even more."

Would simply chuckle, dropping a single rose under the posting before walking off.

As Meta focuses his gaze on certain aspects of the post he frowns at parts he felt best linked to him; "Well that is most certainly not going to work. Who has ever had a problem with me being my own blade...Rather I do hope they do not plan to take my ears, I am most fond of them." He adds quietly his eyes shrugging as he turns away; figuring the paper to be nothing more then additional needless information in his own life

Lucion scratches his chin as he reads over the notice.

"How does one go about "scorning" a forest? Does he harm a trees sensibilities with foul language? The local oak must have made a complaint to the high council."

He looks up to the trees, and raises his eyebrow.

"I wonder if what I said this moment would be considered "scorn?"
