You misunderstand, Jade. Now you can move back to cities that won't allow pvp. It's to bring rp closer together.

Problem is chi.

 

I helped create a community, which /you/ are a part of, that lives on the edge of a map, away from all these raids. Yet now we are /forced/ to pick up our things, destroy what we spend /weeks/ building, and head to cities that dislike us. Why? Where is the fun rp there?

You all need to read the whole post and think about it before Rittsy starts posting ridiculous memes

 

I really hate the argument "to bring people together" or "to centralize population". It's not a matter of forcing people to RP in certain areas - it's whether people /enjoy/ RPing in those areas or with the people in those areas. You can't force people to live in a city just cause it's safe if they don't like the RP of the people that run the city. This is why people make their own little havens and places so they can RP as they wish.

This turns cities with PvP toggled off into “safe zones” from events such as raids or even individual one on one brawls. These regions will still be free build, though, so the only purpose of their existence will be for the PvP flags. With this in mind, raiding parties need to remember that griefing is still disallowed, so destroying a settlement in place of killing its residents will get you banned.

 

 

Alright, I've read this three times, and I do have some questions that I think would do well to clarify.

 

1. Raiders, in absolute PvP default, cannot demand that regions turn off their PvP flag, yes?

 

2. Are raiders allowed to make blocks or ladder placements to get over the walls into said protected regions still? Since while it's regioned, it's still free build.

 

3. Why would you remove raid rules entirely if there is a possibility that the said RP hubs you are trying to cultivate, could potentially be raided by those who have frustrated the apparently accommodated peaceful role-players?

4. Why threaten people with essentially player-enforced ban reports, if they grief a region? Why not just prevent any altercation from occurring in the first place and establishing permissions to manipulate blocks in kind?

 

As you have said -

 

 In place of this system, we have come up with another that is much more simple, easier to understand, and most importantly prevents the high amounts of OOC drama usually associated with wars and battles. Essentially, this is how it works now:

 

Ban reports are the absolute core of drama, I don't see how threatening people with things that only the players themselves can regulate in OOC, helps.

Wait, wait, wait...so a town can technically toggle pvp off. It can also not die mechanically. It can also deny war claims ooc. So...technically a town cannot be destroyed or killed by any means, rply or pvply. It can be annoyed rply, but that is subject to ban report for harassment, which is unrelated to this post but still a thing. Did I read that correct?

Consistently depriving another player (or players) of their fun for your own personal gain or amusement, even after receiving appropriate warnings, is punishable if deemed necessary by the moderation teams. This may also be considered harassment. Essentially, don't be a troublesome player that only plays to annoy others or be a nuisance.

 

 

If you truly feel that you are being over raided by a certain group by all means file a player report. These changes state that there is no raid rules but they don't overrule our current rules.

Does this mean running from RP with no RP is bannable in a PvP-off area?

Can you file a report on an entire nation? Any nation can simply rotate groups of raiders in a place. Would nation leaders get punished in this instance?

Only racial capitals and MAJOR cities are getting regions (the ones rittsy listed).

Yes but chances are there will be warnings to start out with while everyone adjusts.

The problem with that is... how are you supposed to ban report a whole FACTION? Who would be the one to be penalized in a situation like this? And how many times do you need to be raided until it is too much

 

What if you're being raided by different cities? And... if those cities are protected from being taken over... then what can you do to fight back against them? I mean... raiding them back would just further aggravate the situation, and just make everyone madder (that is now a word). I guess talking to the leaders would somewhat help, and would be a nice way to solve it in roleplay, but there's room for disagreements, more anger, more frusteration, that will further spiral out of control and turn into OOC conflict. There's just a lot of room for something rather bad to happen in a scenario like this. D:

You got a video of raiders recently that broke a bunch of rules and raided for giggles. No real reason other than "hate elves" when there is no IC proof we were all elves. They /slaughtered/ a human child. I saw no punishment given then. Why should we believe any help will come next time when they raid us over. and over. and over. and camp the SS pillar?
