Honestly, she went out of her way for this. She went somewhere she knew she was hated. I don't see anything but manipulation.

Eh, I don't believe that the reaction is justified...

But, I've got to admit that the evidence in this thread changes my outlook.

You know the most dissapointing thing? Sure, in some eyes going to go look for trouble wasn't the smartest move to solve this problem. But then, seeing it appear in a public forum, which this time is lotc. Seeing real threats and harassment. All of this taking a totally bannable offense. Crayfish needs to be the one to explain himself and his reasoning as the grey-area of the rules is very difficult to judge on. I wont be picking sides but all types of harassment has to stop.

Quoting Skype chats does not make it harassment via a public forum. I agree that some of the reactions are just ridiculous, akin to handing ammunition to others who will use it on the such.

Alright, alright, sorry FMs.

Its rather hard to tell if someone is actually offended, or if they're joking back with me.

Anyone else really, /really/, want to see shift post with his, mostly, rather calm and rational manner he, normally, handles most things? (From what I've seen of him from Aegis - Asulon)

Definitely.

This one's somewhat grey. On one side, to not ban is to effectively condone bullying of players via non-LotC media, which precedent says we do not.

On the other side, it's a private TS server owned, operated and moderated by the kind of players Teerz doesn't get along with, and the process of banning was... questionable. Plus, there's also precedent for not banning simply because non-LotC media.

This is what always happens with non-LotC media bans: you get a dilemma between setting a precedent for banning for non-LotC media where you don't have logs as evidence and which can be falsified very easily (give me ten minutes and I could hypothetically create Skype screenshots of Urasept threatening to eat Rittsy, and if I can do it, anyone can), or setting a precedent for not, ignoring abuse and effectively condoning bullying off of LotC media.

Me? I'd say let LotC moderate LotC, and use the moderation systems of the media you're using handle them, that, in my mind, is the lesser evil. For Skype, that's the block function. However, my gut feeling is that the staff will stick with ban upheld.

My ultimate sentiment though? Guys, you control Rymora, don't you? You've got a ban function. Use it! It's far more effective for getting people off your server than anything else.

They did ban her, she came back. That's the thing.

Should have stayed out when she was kicked, maybe then she wouldn't have been harassed. I sure know if I got kicked out of a club then returned with a few friends to start **** then I'd be expecting some harassment, it's common sense.

Question is why was I banned the first time.

I'm pretty sure I was talking and joking with you Zhulik, and they kept dragging me down, playing sex noises.

I would leave they would repeat, they banned me for a second, I came back and continued to talk to you.  You told me to pay them no mind.

Really Tau, calling me a whale, again?

Also, can we take a moment to appreciate the hard work and dedication of our forum moderators who are doing their damn best to keep this clean?

You know, they say Work makes you free.

I was present. You were banned from the TS. You then returned and said something like "Ugh." and went to another channel. Then Cray got on and starting interrogating me.

That is basically the point I've been making. My only issue is is that if I am not mistaken, there was warnings issued to Teerz to dismiss from Rymora. I don't agree with the barrage of language thrown at her, but even a thick skin is not required to ignore the banter of adolescent males. Hell, I get called "gay-us" as I pointed out earlier, you sadly just have to turn the other cheek and let it ride. When you get a certain age, you just have to know when to leave the computer and go out for a jog.
