The New Villainy Blacklist

Great instead of people getting pissy and threatening a BR they can threaten a BR and a blacklist! Will this have any affect on PVP default and how it will work? How would one attempt to get somebody on the blacklist? How are you supposed to RP it when you get blacklisted, a cultist just leaves and starts picking flowers as the eye of Iblees shines bright on their palm, but they put that thought away and smell dandelions? Doesn't this seriously restrict RP, and how would you explain IC that you can't do those things "Sorry Rex, I can't fight the twigeez, the sky-gods forbid it." Also would there be a way to get off the blacklist, would the list be timed like a ban so in a month you can go back to being a cultist, I think that some heavy details are missing and I would love to hear more.

This won't affect your role play unless you be a prick with your villainy. No jumping to pvp default as your go to, for example. No "Minas or die" or "Tributez ur flatz" or any variation of that. You actually have to *gasp!* think of other people while you role play! What a foreign concept!!!

Just think what the person on the other side of your roleplay feels, and give them something that's enjoyable.  A surefire way to keep yourself off of this list.

But what all does that entail?

I've dealt with plenty of people (no names) that refused to cooperate regardless of what I tried to do to make them enjoy villain role-play. There are people that just refuse to play along (to the point where, already, they'll BR if they just get attacked, or make GMs tell players they can't attack them) if they don't win all the time, and lord only knows I'm not going to deal with that bullsh!t when blacklists are on the line.

Perhaps we could create villain rules that gave a reasonable definition of providing "fun" roleplay, so we don't inevitably end up squabbling over "what is fun for this player?"

Ultimately, if they refuse to cooperate no matter how accomodating you try to be with your RP, that's their fault. And if you take screenshots and show legitimate proof of this to a GM/admin when it matters then you should be fine in my experience.

From my experiences, if you are trying to provide fun RP for people and they don't like it or try to do stuff like that it would be best to simply leave. If they clearly don't like it just don't RP with them. Cause if you continue they will most likely moan about it to others.

While I like this idea, I think it needs some serious refinement before it is implemented. I.E. How not to get blacklisted, possibly blacklist reports, conditions for getting blacklisted, etc. This would prevent new players from getting screwed over if their RP isn't that great, and prevent people with -pardon my french- a stick up their ass from getting a gm every time they don't enjoy someone's villain rp.
