Hungarian Front:

The nation of Hungary surrenders to the UEDI, judging that the loss of lives would not be worth resisting what was ultimately inevitable. Their surrender comes with but one condition, that the Hungarian people will not be made second-class citizens in their own land, and will not be oppressed or treated differently to how their conquerors would treat their own in any way. If such a thing occurs, they vow to rise up en masse against the would-be oppressors. ((Sneaky said they surrender, I just added the no oppression clause))

The Roman Empire:

The armour will take a few years ((7 pages)) to produce, however no matter what the engineers can find no method to make the armour fully bulletproof across the entire body. ((no full-body bulletproof armour - only vests))

The New Californian Republic:

The Iranians of course agree to the terms in exchange for the technology; they were already fighting anyway. With this new technology and a consequential morale boost, the Iranian advance is renewed and gains a slight upper hand against the Islamic forces, starting to push their line back.

Iberia:

The Angolans and other nations largely deny the Iberians request for the exchange of food for oil. Many of these countries were now modernised and as a result their agricultural industries were meeting the needs of the people, and surplus food was by no means worth surplus oil. A better deal would have to be made.

The construction of the skyscraper goes well, with many Portuguese businesses investing into its construction out of both national pride, and a desire to own some of the skyscraper office floors upon completion.

Japanese Empire:

Singaporean and Bruneian governments both agree to join the Japanese Empire, being such minor nations. Malaysia, however, does not agree, and pleads with the Japanese government to respect the independence of the Malay people. They prepare to defend their borders.

Within the now vast Japanese Empire, there were a great deal of different nationalities and cultures. Many of these peoples were strongly anti-Japanese, with cultural memories of the former Japanese Empire's invasions and atrocities during WWII largely being responsible. As such, they did not agree with their governments' surrenders or accessions to Japanese invitations. In Indonesia, Papau New Guneia, and the Phillipines, strong nationalist sentiments begin to emerge, with several rebel factions starting to disrupt civil order. They would need to be addressed, for their numbers swell by the day.

The Islamic Caliphate

The Yemeni and Omani governments refuse to surrender, unwilling to come quietly with those they saw as traitors to Islam. Both nations, as well as Qatar and Bahrain band together in a coalition against the Caliphate, all of them denouncing it. They begin conscripting, fortifying, and generally preparing to defend.

The Decline of Empires

-Mod events-

Although the respective nations of Europe kept annexing and unifying under blocs and empires, the humane aspect of these governments were forgotten. Internal politics did not make sense anymore, or so claimed the various civil opposition organizations in many nations. The climate in the world was changed, but the people only managed to adapt to it now. The 'Internal Alzheimer' as people called it, needed to stop.

The German Empire
----

The death of the Chancellor and the formation of the empire was supported by the German people at first, but that did not say anything about the non-Germans. The Austrian parliament shooting and the poor conditions of the once middle-class citizens did not go unnoticed, all their money went to Berlin! The Austrian pride for their long, prestigious history merely supported the fact that they deserved to be an empire of themselves. The Austrian government appeals to the Reichstag, requesting independence peacefully.  The Germans may had a military thumb to silence the opposition, but planning did not require a voice.

The Roman Empire
----

Nationalism was on the rise, the glorious Roman Empire sounded quite good in the mouths of the unknowing youth. Where it had increasing support, there was massive dissent somewhere else.  The island of Corsica saw how the Italians spread thin over European soil, their military would eventually cripple their economy and former welfare state.  The Corsican local governments decided to declare independence,  asking both the Caliphate and the Iberians for protection and recognition. Sicily and Venezia felt extremely left behind by their government as well, there was zero internal progress or policy, they wanted to take care for themselves. Both Sicily and Venice, motivated by the Corsican independence, demand autonomy and the right for their own military and internal policy, but still wish to be under the wing of the Roman empire.

The Baltic Confederation
-----

National-Socialism was indeed a successful system to gain the support from its people. The excessive propaganda and disciplinary views coming with it changed the mindsets of the newer generations. Although opposition was not that high, planet internet caused a movement in the confederation that came unexpected. Many deported individuals against the Nazi regime had voiced their opinions in the media, especially their success stories coming with it. With various countries condemning the Baltic regime, their state television had the audience to make these people a sensation. Strong, perhaps fabricated reports would contradict all that the Baltics believed in. Are our republics autonomous? Is the UEDI right in his cause? Is our common enemy really imperialist? These questions were raised with a quiet voice, but would it stay that way?

The Japanese Empire
-----

Although the defeat of the Congressional opposition ended the rooted sentiment against the imperial government, the seeking for democracy did not end. One would say that the Japanese would not mind walking in the footsteps of their imperial ancestors, but the scenario today was different. Doubt had a strong presence in many government officials, the media's bias towards the government was blatant to the people and their coalition with China was sincerely disliked.  Democratic and Nationalistic sentiment came to a rise. Some minor protests gaining more and more participants from bystanders in the cities of Japan.

The American Continent
-------

Many states stood prideful with their independence from the once United States of America. Their economy grew, politics made sense, but the lack for the red white and blue never ceased to exist. People wanted the United States back, confident that now they could found it in a more beneficial way. NCR? CSA? No. More and more people petitioned to unify the states, some even protesting for the United States of America to unify them by force.  One must not forget the cause of the founding fathers. The most dangerous thing is, that a majority of the population was armed.

The Russian Federation

----

The Russian Federation was quite calm for a period of time. As much as the government ignored the protestors from St.Petersburg, it didn't solve the problem. People wanted an actual opposition in their government, the United Russia party always won the elections with a domineering majority. Estonia slowly grew more eager to join the Baltic federation, they weren't slavs as the Russians tried to make it look like. Petitions, protests, you name it. But Estonia and the Russian people, had quite the demands. Demands that were voiced louder and louder, each day. Chechnyan terrotists, Estonian nationalists and Russian democrats made a solid promise to bring a collapse to the Putin regime.

India

----

The Peasantry of India grew out of control as the government refused to do anything about its internal affairs. Cables were cut in protests throughout the neighborhoods of the many cities, protests for wage raises became more common and starvation in the rural areas grew bigger and bigger.  Communism became more favored in these rural areas, though heavily despised by the growing Pakistani majority in these areas. The capital of India grew more and more unpleased, the protests sometimes turning to something more than peaceful.

The Serbian offer is swiftly answered by diplomats from the Hellenic Republic, accepting the terms and moving quickly to implement them. Kosovan officials are reassured that they will still retain some separate autonomy privately, while reforms are implemented within the other areas of Serbia to bring industry and the economy to an acceptable national standard. With these new areas successfully a key component of the new Republic resources are transported there, with multiple previous research bases in Achaea relocated here to bring in new jobs and a sense of growth.

Mechanised and Armoured divisions, previously located in the heartlands of Bosnia and Montenegro are moved to the Serbian border with Bulgaria - however discreetly and in small batches, so as not to alarm the local authorities. Army bases in the employ of the Serbian military are flooded with new modern equipment, mostly tanks due to the Serbs distinct lack of a large unit of those, along with more modernised weaponry.

Towns on the borders with Macedonia and Albania are slowly and gradually switched into existing or new Grecian municipalities, beginning the slow process of an administrative change in these borders to direct rule from Athens rather than through the relative capitals of these regions. This move to increase productivity and efficiency goes well, also allowing the government to fill these new seats with party members, despite the current democratic government being a façade to cover the fascist state.

A university of learning is launched in Sarajevo with the intention of progressing the state of education within the city, primary professors being moved to there from areas such as Athens. The move is hoped to enhance the speed at which new developments take place; along with this a new Army Headquarters is planned for Belgrade, the existing one at Thessalonica upgraded, and another one created in Zagreb. From these new plans will logistic operations take place and supplies be moved, with the promotion of multiple aspiring generals skilled in shock warfare to these positions.

Dimitrovgrad Mechanised Forces:

1500 Tanks

2500 AFVs

60 MLRs

25,000 Infantry

Kriva Palanka Mechanised Forces:

500 Tanks

2000 AFVs

20 MLRs

40,000 Infantry

At the time of 0550 a message is sent to to the Bulgarian government, it following the direct movement of mechanised forces across the border. It is a short, rather nondescript message detailing that if they join the Hellenic Republic they will be promised full autonomy, ideological, cultural and belief tolerance along with military protection. If they do indeed refuse the territories will be seized by force.

The opening strike of the campaign takes place from Dimitrovgrad down a main road to the nearby capital of Sofia, the attack taking place in early morning and headed by one of the most audacious and swift Hellenic generals, his troops expected to reach the capital after a maximum time of fourty minutes. The plan being to successfully use the large number of troops to smash through little lines of resistance that can be mobilised and surround the capital.

The second force is to advance north and occupy the main areas south of Sofia, cutting through industrial zones to capture more important areas of the country. The move is intended to create a large pocket in which infantry soldiers, the majority of the Hellenic Republic's forces, can then move into and secure.

THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN

116984__england-united-kingdom-flag-uk-g

It was election day in Great Britain.

Olympic-parade.-001.jpg

The Traditionalist Conservatives were saddened to see their King having to relinquish a justly won position, but the new Prime Minister would serve them well as well, they were sure.

As they still held a vast majority in Parliament, the TC Party was easily able to get their candidate chosen by the King.

Her name was Alice Yorkshire, a 3rd generation Anglican Arab. The decision to choose her as the next Prime Minister had been made for a number of reasons:

--She appealed to the Traditionalist Conservatives, for her values and ideals; they were similar to those of the late Prime Minister Edward Leigh and she herself was a strong supporter of the British Crown.

--She appealed to the minorities of the United Kingdom, due to her enthinticity.

--She appealed to Anglicans, because of her devout Anglican faith.

--She appealed to members of the armed forces due to her "iron fist" type of diplomacy.

--She appealed to Thatcherists, due to her capitalistic and low-government ideals.

--Lastly, she appealed to the other political parties, due to her willingness to compromise with Parliament during times of unrest.

As King William passed the reigns of the Prime Ministership to her, a parade of the Scotts' Guards was held in honor of Britain's only King-Prime Minister.

As he relinquished the office to Yorkshire, he whispered something in her ear. He told her to be strong and corageous, and to do what was best for the United Kingdom and it's people above all else.

She whispered something back, inaudible to the microphones of the BBC, promising to work with the Crown to further the restoration of Britain's greatness.

And thus, the King grinned. The power of the crown still, in truth, remained the same; as promising as Alice was, she was just a female, minority Edward Leigh.

He was, in truth, still the real head of state of the United Kingdom. Just like his father King Charles had been before him.

With the new designs to the Iberian body armor, the suits are immediately put into production by the British government. As factories pump out the suits, they would be assigned to all active military personnel, the expeditionary force in the Afrikan Commonwealth being put at the top of the list to receive the new suits, and the 3rd Army in Normandy being put at second priority.

Commonwealth of Afrika

african-union-hi.jpg

The people of Africa were united for the first time in the continents history, and the most remarkable aspect of this union is that it was not built on blood or by force. It was built on the promise of prosperity and Union, on the premise that together the people of Africa could build a better future for the next generations. The time for expansion was to halt so Ukuwu T’challa could consolidate the massive expansion of the latest years.

Ukuwu T’challa sat on his couch opposite to a reporter for the australian national new center. The interview was being broadcasted live  to any computer or television across the world. The interview began with the question of what were T’challas next goals. T’challa laughs and looks at the camera while talking: “Its simple really, I wish for union and prosperity. Look at what we have accomplished working together. Our previously shattered people now stand as one of the worlds greatest superpowers. It fills my heart with joy knowing the people of Africa trust and believe in me, Ghana and Gabon joining only proves that the will of the Commonwealth of Afrika is the will of all of the african people.”

The female reporter looked through her notebook and found the question she was looking for: " Do you have any words to your brave allies? " The King of the Commonwealth smiled once again and answered " To England, the Csa, the NCR, Iberia, Australia and Russia. All I can to all of you is thank you. You have begun to change the hearts and minds of the african people about foreigners, and your support is worth a great deal to me. That is why I ask the leaders of all my allies and their generals stationed in my country to join me in Lagos for the aniversary of the Commonwealth!"

The reporter noded and then adjusted in her seat and asked “ Just one more thing, what about the recent acts of aggression committed against your country by the Islamic countries?” The warm expression of the african king disappeared and was replaced with a stern look, he simply said:” I feel truly sorry for the people who live under such an oppressive regime as the ones in the Arab Federation and in the Caliphate. They are authoritative states that function on the sole premise to make their crazed leaders stronger and stronger. If they try to commit any act of aggression against my people they will surely regret it. They have already invaded a sovereign african state, Sudan. Now I will openly talk to the people of the poor annexed country.People of Sudan! Rise up! Do not accept the oppressive regime of the Arab Federation! The Commonwealth of Africa will aid any Sudanese that seeks to regain its freedom, we will harbor any refugees who seek to escape the iron fist of the Federation.” And with that the interview was over.

MOD POST

Commonwealth ofAfrika
The offer to South Sudan is ignored out of fear that a major war will break out between the TRAC and Arabian Federation. Meanwhile the campaign in Sudan goes well, but the oppressive boot that is pressed firmly down by Federation is hard to pass through. Aid to the Congo also goes as planned and it will serve the COmmonwealth well should they choose to win over the people.

AUSTRALIA
The Australians fuel project goes rather poorly, but the research is encouraged to continue.

China
In a surprising turn of events, the Chinese forces occupying Indochina have been turned back! The revolutionary Indochinese leader marshalled the forces of the capital city of Hanoi and the Viet Cong. Losses were terrible but the fighting fervor and zealousness of the combined Vietnamese and Indochinese forces were enough to turn back and route the opposing Chinese forces. Over hundreds of thousands of military troops lay dead on both sides, and nearly a million civilian deaths. Yet the Indochinese forces have prevailed. The influential leader of the Indochinese forces has been declared president of the new asspiring nation, and negotiators are sent to the Chinese Empire demanding surrender. Terms entail,

  • The Immedieate removal of all Chinese forces from the Indochinese Union.

  • War reparations to compensate for the damage done to Indochinese cities and the deaths of many Indochinese civilians.

  • A non-aggression pact between the two nations that will last for 5 years.

231,364 Chinese Military Personnel Dead

500 Chinese Tanks Destroyed

The Islamic Caliphate

ISIS_black_flag.jpg

A field, 100 miles south of Baghdad, Iraq

Ahmed Abd Al-Qadir stands on a small hill, his expression one of genuine concern. Five years ago this valley had been a verdant paradise, fed by the Euphrates river. But things had changed now.

130F6418-27B9-4BC0-B830-3BFF611564A9_w64

The water levels in the river had never been lower in recent memory, and the trend was reflected in the Tigris, to the north. The yearly crop was already beginning to fail, which was worrisome to say the least: Mesopotamia supplied a significant chunk of the nation's breadbasket as a whole. If the desertification of the region continued, the entirety of the Middle East could be come an uninhabitable wasteland.

Ahmed had brought the subject up with his father before, and been ignored. He could understand why: the Caliph had come to power from nothing, leading an army of guerrillas. He neither knew nor cared much for the subtleties of running a nation. But if what he had built was to last, someone would have to. Two nights prior, the Caliph had told Ahmed what the engineers had found upon retapping the oil wells of Arabia: there was very little left. Saudi Arabia, for all of history in possession of the largest reserves in the world, was beginning to run low. For the first time, the resources of the Middle East seem limited.

With his aging father extremely ill, Ahmed had taken over many of his responsibilities in the last few days, and almost all of them pertained to wars on two fronts, with the threat of another massive one draining the Caliphate's resources. For the moment it was sustainable, but in ten years? Twenty? Something would need to change.

As if in answer to his thoughts, his guards behind him go silent. Footsteps are heard behind him, and then a voice.

"Your father is dead...my Caliph."

It was not a surprise. The illness that had overtaken the leader of the Islamic State so quickly was not by chance: small amounts of arsenic had been slipped into his food every day for the past week. Allah would forgive the transgression; it was a necessary evil.

The new caliph turns on his heel, exuding a new aura of authority. "Take me to him."

His car speeds north for an hour and a half, other vehicles clearing the way for their new lord. Soon he arrives in Baghdad, a city that still lies in disrepair despite the vast potential riches of the Caliphate. That would change. The palace was the largest building in the city, but even that looked more like a military encampment then a center of government. He enters the gates and strides into the palace, up the stairs and to the bedroom of the head of state. There lies Caliph Ibrahim, his body lifeless, his expression one of serenity. How could someone who now looked so peaceful have killed so many?

The funeral is held the next day, and nearly every citizen of Baghdad gathers to pay their respects. As Ibrahim is lowered into his grave wrapped in white cloth, Ahmed steps to the podium.
"My father shall be remembered from this day until the end of time. Nobody but he could have united the Islamic lands as they are today. Nobody but he could have returned strength to what was once a laughably divided and weak nation. But now his labor has come to an end.

Now is the time to ensure that that labor does not go to waste. Our realm has ascended to be among the mightiest on earth, and I vow that I shall defend that stature to my last dying breath. We must work to secure our holdings, to prosper as a nation, to make sure that our control over the homeland of Islam cannot be threatened. To that end, I will stand for nothing less than full submission from the state of Iran and from the regions still defying our authority on the Arabian peninsula.

But the conflict that continues to escalate on the southern borders of the Arab Federation is one which must be stopped. I shall not condemn the policy of disdain for negotiation and uncompromising expansion that has so far defined our actions: it has been successful in uniting our rightful territory and earning respect in the eyes of the world. But in this case I will not allow it to continue. Certainly, we could take the land that the subsaharan Kafirs have so brazenly militarized. But it would take years, and how many martyrs would perish in the fight? It will certainly weaken us. It may even break us.

No, now is not the time. There may very well be a great war in our time, but not today. Let us gather our strength, so that when such calamity arrives on our doorstep, we do no dishonor the great man we lay to rest here by destroying his great empire. Allahu Akbar."\

The very first day that Caliph Ahmed takes power, the bombing raids into the Commonwealth cease. Reinforcements to Sudan stop and are returned to Arabia and Iran, leaving a total of 200,000 men stationed south of the Sahara. The Commonwealth is informed that the Caliphate will have no cause for military action as long as the Nigerians are not seen to be making advances on countries as far east as Sudan. The border remains heavily militarized, but there is no more aggressive bombardment, no more scaling up the situation. There is simply a watchful ceasefire.

As the reinforcements arrive in Arabia, numbering half of the returning force, they join up with the currently stationed troops there in the advance against the remaining Arab nations. Another, more gently-worded demand for surrender is sent to each of these nations, from the new Caliph. Upon the likely refusal, they seize Bahrain and Qatar, who cannot field an overly strong defense, as outlined in the last post. Yemen and Oman would prove more challenging, but they were hopelessly outnumbered. Fresh recruits are sent to these lines, as it is seen as a tame enough front to introduce them to battle.

Iran is more of a problem. The defenders were now pushing hard to reclaim their lost positions in the Zagros mountains. With the arrival of 100,000 mostly Egyptian troops, these positions continue to hold strong, but artillery in the valley pummel Caliphate soldiers every day. The Islamic air force puts all its effort into destroying these installations, and upon realizing that larger forces are beginning to resist the Turkish advance, begins cluster bombing advancing armies.

For the time being, all embargoes are lifted, although the price of oil remains artificially inflated so as to preserve the reserves of the Caliphate. A survey is commissioned to evaluate the Nile river as a source of water for drought-stricken regions, and the Islamic government also begins to look into the possibility of desalination.

Efforts to more effectively use the wealth of the region are enacted by the new Caliph. The oil profits hoarded by the previous ruler are now invested into civic improvements, particularly in the capital city of Baghdad. A new palace, one more magnificent than the last, is commissioned simply to more accurately represent the wealth and stature of the Caliphate's ruler. The slave trade is now taxed, such as it can be, and the long policy of ethnic cleansing now comes to an end. Jizya would be the replacement, a tax on nonbelievers that will bring funds into the coffers of the Caliph while promoting a more tolerant culture.

It is clear that a new era is dawning. But tensions remain high, and it remains to be seen whether the realm wil be pulled into a full-scale war in the near future.

The Arab Federation

qgtVxH6.png

The arid Saharan sand swept across what was termed to be no-mans land. What little life had long retreated as artillery shells and missiles pocked the land with craters, soon cover once more by sand. The virtual stalemate in the air had led to a stand still on the ground, troops milling about in their defensive positions. The only activity on the scene were the constant missile barrages emitted from hundreds of mobile launchers, hitting the oppositions armies every few minutes. Surprisingly, the Accord's build up spilled over an estimated 600,000, though moving such a large army over the desert would be unlikely. Any sort of offensive that moved large divisions would be slow and painful, equally to both sides.

After much deliberation high command orders for troops to with draw slightly northwards towards a better, far more dependable position in and around the Tibesti mountains. HFAA turrerts, artillery, and MLRS's line the defensive line like virtual barriers, and continue to make the Saharan Divide a no-mans land, neither side able to push forward. Missile bombardment halts for the time being, a cease fire having been enacted. Defoliants and herbicides are sent to their positions in crates.

With the return of troops formerly committed to the Middle Eastern front, a review of personnel and military matters is conducted. Since the first days of Federation establishment, Fortifications and coastal batteries had been built throughout each nation that served under Federal guidance. Since then, anti air guns had also been positioned in order to defend national interests. The Arabs had constructed a fortress dedicated to the defense of their ideals and the people that held them. Across the union of states, soldiers were garrisoned and drilled heavily, the mastery of war their goal. Notable forces set up in Morocco. Factories in the mainland turned out hundreds of thousands of UEDI-Islamic jointly created armor, equipping the ever growing armed forces, shipments from Germany supplementing equipment as well. Roughly less then a quarter of the improved heavy armor are manufactured and equipped by soldiers due to their resource intense nature. TAI TFX production continues, while German made polish stealth tanks arrive to her allies. Factories and shipyards grow their output, foreseeing a long coming large scale war. Small divisions begin to be stationed in South Israel.

In observation of the declining earths resources, any way to cut down on energy spending and increasing energy production is searched for. Based on Morocco's largest wind farms on the continent, Algeria's expansive solar fields, and various African nations geothermal plants, Sedki Enan drafts a bill that details the Federation plan to take advantage of Africa's position in green energy potential. Thousands of wind farms and solar energy fields begin construction as surveyors look for suitable areas for geothermal reactors. At the same time, drilling of oil increases tenfold, the country wishing to grasp at every drop it could.

The state of unity in the Arab Federation was astoundingly high; relatively similar languages and dialects, as well as cultures and religion contributing highly. However, this was not to say that the Arabs left out those who held different backgrounds. Religious tolerance is held high among society and the government, as seen to the accommodation Jewish and Christian households in Israel. Throughout the country, every citizen was valued, although those who caused upheaval were perhaps seen in a lower view.

A rare interview with the head of state Sedki Enan is held, likely in response to the Commonwealth's scathing accusations. Broadcast live to several networks including MENA, the general sat in a simple crisp suit while the interviewer sorted through several papers. The interview begins with the question of what goals the state aimed for. Smiling with bleach white teeth, he answers.
"As you know, we wish to bring peace and stability to the region, and have been mostly successful. Our general plan is to expand our industrial centers to accommodate for jobs in this growing nation, while also increasing energy out put in the form of renewable sources. Our once oppressed brothers and sisters have joined in shared unity, spreading our good will among the region. Without the help of our friends in Europe or the Middle East however, we would never have been able to make it this far."
Nodding, the interviewer moves on, questioning how the Afrikan Commonwealth have accused the Federation of annexing Sudan. With a huff, Enan addresses the question.
"It has always been under the interests of the Federation to reach out to other, less fortunate nations. This was the case in Sudan, who's government had brought the unfortunate people of Sudan nothing but death and misfortune. Their corrupt government had let numerous human rights violations occur while also falling to civil war. They were not fit to hold the mantle of responsibility. We stepped in on humanitarian grounds in order to bring stability to the nation, and will continue to do so. As proof, look at Sudan now; it is a prosperous nation filled with industry, hospitals, schools, clean drinking water, and various other infrastructural improvements. Improvements funded by the Federation, carried out by the Federation. This holds true for every nation that joins our union. But may I bring the public's attention to the supposedly peaceful democratic Commonwealth."
At these words the general's feature become creased, becoming a frown.
"The very state that promised peace, the commonwealth, first acted in aggression when amassing its army at our border. We retaliate to defend our nation, and give forth simple terms. Yet they declare a full war, pulling in various nations, and have now brought the region to the brink of total war. Now, they encourage violent uprisings in an other wise peaceful area, all to further their cause of expansion. Look, people of Africa, open your eyes! This commonwealth is nothing but a farce, a ruse, to take your resources and to use it for violence! If this is a truly democratic union, surely, they would release you from their grip? Unshackle yourselves from this regime, for we the Federation will support every one of you who seeks the freedom they deserve. Every step they take towards war will be matched by us and our allies."
The interview fades into inky blackness, announcing its end.

----==----
The Federal administrative area of Sudan becomes abuzz with government activity as Islamic troops accompany military police in quelling any sort of rebellious sentiment. Ring leaders are detained by MP's in the dead of night, while government plants rat out huge networks of Commonwealth planted insurgencies. While a mere western corner of Sudan is even forested, Commonwealth special forces continue to elude authorities. Intense searches become common in the area, while borders are locked down to keep everyone equally from getting in or out.
A large scale propaganda campaign begins across the nation to firmly bring public opinion under the Federation and against the commonwealth and Accord. Broadcasts, posters, and leaflets scatter cities, depicting Commonwealth soldiers raiding their fellow unionized nations of their resources with weapons raised at a woman and her child.
Aid is sent to several nations, primarily South Sudan, Mauritania, Eritrea, Djibouti, and Somalia in hopes of swaying the nations towards possibly aiding the Federation. Djibouti, Mauritania, and Somalia, all three former Arab League members before its dissolution are hoped to be more receptive, while aid to Eritrea and South Sudan are primarily due to their previous disastrous conflicts. Aid is also sent to the Congo in hopes of combating the growing Commonwealth influence.

The New Californian Republic

“War, war is a beast. A beast that will devour nations.” So said Arnold in the beginning of his reign, so said he again, lifting a feeble and withered fist high into the air with the final vestiges of his once great strength.  “But not ours! For we are the devourer!”

A couple hundred miles off the Somali coast, the first NCR aircraft carrier fleet stalls its advance at the announce of the Caliphates cease-fire issued to the Commonwealth. However, the still high tensions keep the fleet on high alert and it remains wary of potential submarine, arial and sea threats. However, they take no hostile action and do not advance any further towards the Middle East.  The carrier itself, the Terminator is the biggest in the NCR fleet and carries a contingent of eighty planes. Along with this vessel comes an escort of 7 submarines, 3 frigates, 7 destroyers, 2 minesweepers and 2 anti-submarine ships . The frigates are equipped with heavy CSA AA equipment as well as an AEGIS computer system. While this marvel was used in the early twenty-first century it has had decades to developpe into an brilliant system. The AEGIS, coupled with the frigates CSA AA equipment and radar should potentially allow them to counter a large portion of airborn threats. The 7 698 model NCR submarines employ the AN/BBQ-17 sonar, a highly advanced improvement from the late 20th century AN/BBQ-10 with enough processing power in one of these to rival the entirety of the AN/BB-10 sonars. ((checked, when AN/BBQ-10 replaced the 5, one was worth the entire 5 fleet in terms of processing power, etc…))

While all Caliphate trade ships, in or outbound are allowed to pass, the fleet puts a security perimeter one-hundred kilometers around it. Any war or trade ship entering these waters will be given a warning and time to clear the area before being engaged. Either by long-range rail guns at about 50-45km’s or missile weaponry and submarines.

3 destroyers are also equipped with equivalent systems, but not as heavily for they also field railguns capable of cresting the horizon in six-seconds. On par with railgun technology, they far outrange classical canons. ((AEGIS does exist now and is a highly advanced AA system. Railguns are also in prototype mode today in the US and every prediction and research points towards extreme speed and very good range, far exceeding classical weaponry.)) The remaining destroyers field light CSA AA weaponry along with their railgun, while the submarines field classical missile weaponry and torpedoes. However, the slots meant for nuclear armament now carry high yield last model Trident missiles. The submarines constantly scout forward for the fleet, searching for any maritime threat in the surrounding one hundred miles. These submarines also hold one to two SEAL teams each.

The carrier itself fields 70 F-22X’s along with one rescue chopper and 3 transport heli’s for special operations and 6 anti-submarine warfare helicopters equipped with the latest NCR/USA mobile sonar tech. The second NCR carrier fleet remains stationed in Australian waters while the last, smallest one patrols NCR waters.

From the NCR, in come 200 thousand men determined on training with the Australian forces and their now well-drilled comrades, arrived there about a year earlier. They are not the full force that the NCR planned on moving to Oceania, but the troubling news from Japan and its alliance with the Union States put it on its guard enough for it to hold back part of the army to protect its territory. These regulars are rotated in quartets into southern mexico where they train with recruits in the desert conditions and practice against the massively outgunned insurgents. In such a manner, the NCR kills two birds with one stone. It keeps its troops fresh and trained and protects its own borders as well as putting strain on insurgent groups. Of course, cities and other populated areas are for the most part avoided. Some captured insurgents are implanted with control chips and sent back into their respective groups to gather information and aid the Schwarz Polizei in dismantling them in coordination with SEAL teams.

Meanwhile, the same operatives that went into Iran before now return with blueprints for NCR tanks. However, some details have been modified and they are not on par with the ones used by the supplying nation itself. ((mod plz))

To the Commonwealth, the NCR government regretfully informs them that Arnold Schwarznegger’s age has kept him on land for quite a while now. However, they will send a representative of state to the party, a certain Johnny Depp the second, a highly ranked government member. Upon his arrival he would sincerely congratulate the Commonwealth on their progress and how far the once small alliance between the both of them had gone.

On the homefront, with the promise of peace and the ever lowering world supplies in oil and other resources the NCR begins building a larger proportion of monorails and trains to criss-cross between cities and districts while the possession of cars will be progressively limited through time. The projects will probably come to an end in the following years, little by little.

A new course is added to the mandatory year of service in the military and the Arnoldian Youth. Depending on the city they are stationed near, soldiers and youths must now spend a certain amount of time every year doing small squad operations heavily involving accessible sewer and underground tunnel levels so as to defend and maneuver in their cities with more ease.

While tensions have eased, the NCR sends a politely worded but firm reminder to Japan that if it attacks Australia, the NCR will protect its ally.

To the Union States, the NCR government agrees to send an envoy to Washington to discuss any further subjects. It does not however, invite any US official into its own territory.

Deep within area 51 and other research labs, the progress on active cloaking continues and certain skilled Commonwealth scientists are invited to join in their work. Progress is conclusive, they believe it can be done, but it will take time to adapt it to the rigors of a war zone and the harsh treatment it will be subjected to. (9 pages)

Progress on HATE armor continues in the Commonwealth and some prototypes are released to special operation teams for trial and testing. (4 pages)

The japanese spies, apparently successful, stay in their government and other positions and continue to work on moving up the ranks be it either in the army or other. Their goal is to achieve as high a position as possible so as to feed the NCR with as much intel as they can possibly furnish them with.

Other engineering groups focused on nuclear batteries finally reach the conclusion that it is an unattainable goal and focus their attention on a more beneficial research. Bionic limbs to replace those lost by soldiers or workers in society. While these have existed for quite a while, they turn towards making them much more solid, responsive and reliable. ((6 pages mod approved))

The NCR begins installing CSA AA weaponry in strategic positions down its coast, most often in close enough proximity with radar installations to communicate efficiently. Meanwhile, many Mexican citizens are ‘encouraged’ to work in the mines as the NCR begins to look for more brute materials in its recently acquired southern chunk of land. As more ore veins are discovered, more mines will be constructed and more people drafted into working in them. For those without a job, it is often seen as a boon and it is possible that public opinion of the NCR rises a slight amount in the region. ((mod plz))

In Antarctica, the new base is set up and scientists begin their scans and experiments. It appears that most of their job revolves around searching for new sources of oil in the abundant regions of Antarctica. Should they find oil near these coordinates.

77°42’20.86”S 103°04’57.06”W

They would transmit the data back to their hub in the NCR.

Finally, the disparate intelligence system in the NCR finally coagulates into one system, the NDE (National Defence Endeavour). While there is little to be said about them, they begin organizing spies and hitmen with greater efficiency than before and pick up where the previous group left off on current operations. Some soldiers in well reputed units disspear from the radar and are taken to private training camps or directly shipped off towards Australia. The NDE plans on breeding a new group of hitmen and highly qualified spies named Overwatch.

In light of the latest ceasefire between the Islamic State and the T.R.A.C, the NCR asks the Commonwealth to host a peace summit in Lagos where the two parties could discuss the particulars of the problem and perhaps achieve a peaceful solution to the conflict.

An offer is extended to Canada by the T.R.A.C to join them in the Accord. They promise to share certain pieces of technology as long as Canada begins to supply them with oil, freshwater, uranium and other ressources found in its vast lands. (mod plz)

As the main creator and producer of railguns at this point in time, the NCR impresses upon the rest of the T.R.A.C that it does not wish to share railgun technology outside of the Accord at this point in time.

Mod Post - NCR

The opening of mines to unemployed Mexican workers appeases their need for work, and improves the unemployment rate. However, many still feel discontent because of their status as a minority and are largely discriminated against. They agitate for more civil rights, as well as workers rights when in the mines. They demand health insurance so that injuries from mining operations would be paid for out of the government's pocket, not their own.

Meanwhile, Canada maintains its perpetual state of neutrality, and respectfully declines the offer from the TRAC. They do offer trade deals when it comes to oil and other natural resources, however they price their resources rather high because of shortages globally, making the demand for Canadian goods very high.

The Australasian Federation

The Federations standoff with Japan has seemingly come to an end as it seems to have erupted as part of a misunderstanding. Australasia offers a trade agreement that includes a supply of Uranium from the Australian mines along with foodstuffs from the agricultural industry of Australia including a lot of beef. However at a lowered cost than it would normally charge to other nations, instead in return it wishes to unite the Oceanic landmasses meaning it asks in return for the territory of Papua New Guinea and the region of Western Guinea so it may unite the Country into one and bring it into the Australasian Federation.

The Federation accepts the invitation to Lagos for an international peace conference, sending the Foreign Minister and the three Chief Executive Officers of the board of directors of the three largest Private Military Companies in the Federation, although placed their by the Prime Minister each was placed for their abilities and will be needed to help sway those in the conference about the importance of security. The Prime Minister also plans to attend for at least two days of the conference, with the importance and prevalence of the Federations presence in the world needs their leader to stay in their lands.

In the Upper and Lower houses a new act is proposed known as "The Peerage Act" to enable Peerage ranks among the Australian Citizenry and enable Australian territories to be made up in purely honorary Baronies, Counties, Viscounts and Dukes reflecting the honorary status of Feudal Territories in the UK and other nations. (Although many can still get titles most of them do not reinfect Australian territories and rather the territories in the UK). The Act passes both houses and it is proposed that the Senate of Australia be reformed into a localized version of the House of Lords in which Peers will be chosen for life and only in extraordinary circumstances will have their positions be hereditary, the act passes however with the proviso that the 40% of Peers are elected for terms of five years, 30% of the Peers are life peers and that a total of 30% of the Peers are Hereditary. The lower house which holds the most seats and positions remains purely democratic and the head of state must only have a majority government in the lower house as the upper house is being turned into a more impartial system which won't focus on inter-party politics.

The Military of the Federation has finished its retrofitting, with the Australian contingent of the entire Federations forces being the largest and most well supplied in the latest weapons and armour, with its tanks fully upgraded with Rail Guns and all ships equipped with with Rail Guns.

The Australasian Federation sends another missive to the Islamic Caliphate in the missive it asks the Caliph to cease all military operations in Arabia and into Persia while the Peace Conference is on the table. It also offers food aid to the Caliphate in its time of need on the proviso that it ceases its aggression in Arabia and against Iran

Australasia offers out trade agreements concerning its mineral wealth and the raw or refined forms of the materials that can be mined in the territory of Oceania, the trade offers are sent to ALL NATIONS

Research

Emu Mech Research continues and early prototypes of the Biomechanical Legs are finished, flaws are easily found but it allows for trial and error testing, prototypes of the main chassis and head of the Mech is finished, with plenty of room for the Virtual Brain (( Full project completion in 14 pages ))

Advanced Virtual Intelligence Project continues to go underway with beta testing underway for basic functions such as a more advanced civil applications in order to test it (( Full project completion in 5 pages ))

Research into Hydrogen based fuels goes poorly, with little progress to show, however the Government gives the Universities more time

Nordic-Baltic Confederation

The expedition for oil in Greenland and off it's coast continues, with preliminary prospecting showing good signs.

The union of the Nordic countries was now almost complete, and all that lay between separation and unity was Iceland. It was by no means a major Nordic player, perhaps the most irrelevant of the lot, but it was still Nordic, and so belonged within the Confederation for the good of both parties. Diplomatic pressure is exerted and focussed on them, again pointing out the prosperity and security that those who entered the Confederation. They make the point that despite already having a defensive alliance with Iceland, the small island nation remained vulnerable, as organisations such as the UEDI would be unwilling to intervene in the case of imperialist threat. They are once again invited to the Confederation. [MOD PLZ]

Attempts to sneak further nationalist propaganda into Estonia begin. Additionally, propaganda and some Karelians in Finland are armed and instructed to spread nationalist sentiment for Karelians in Russia. [MOD PLZ]

Additionally, a petition to release the Karelians as an independent people is sent to Russia.

With the completion of the AMAP-ADS armour, current armoured vehicles are retro-fitted. The patterns are sent to all UEDI members.

Commonwealth of Africa

1280px-Flag_of_the_African_Union.svg.png

Ukuwu T’challa walked through the streets of Younde, the capital of the state of Cameroon, it was truly a sight to behold. The city which mere 50 years ago was no more than haphazard slums on one side and mansions on the other was now a bustling Industrial city. The construction of skyscrapers could be seen all the way towards the horizon. The people of Cameroon were now composed mainly of  high tech industrial workers and well educated at that. Ukuwu T’challa approached the podium where he was to give a speech when he was stopped by one of his aids, it seemed there had been a development. The king smiled and began his speech.

“My people, I will keep this short for unfortunately new circumstances have arisen. But let me just say that the Younde is fast becoming the industrial capital of all of Africa! And I will not take credit for this, all the hard working africans who struggled to accomplish this should be rewarded! And with that I proclaim that today shall be a new national holiday for the Commonwealth!” The people cheered in many different dialects, it was true the industrial tax breaks in Cameroon had attracted all sort of people from the union. “ And with that I ask you all to turn your televisions on the national new network.”

Nordic Baltic Confederation

Iceland finally accepts the Nordic request to join the Union, seeing them as strong enough to sufficiently protect the Island from would be invaders such as the Imperialist British.

The attempts at nationalist propaganda go find, seeping its way into Russian-occupied Estonia, furthering the cause for Estonian indepedence. Many peacefully protest against the Russian invaders, while others outright fight an insurgency. The Russians will have to respond.

The Commonwealth of Afrika

The Ivory Coast and Bukina Faso do not join the Afrikans for fear of entering some sort of war with the Federation if they would join at that moment.
Meanwhile, the Conoglese warlord's trial wins popular support from the people of Congo itself as the man has killed hundreds of Congolese. Aid is also received in South Sudan and Congo, however some corrupt government officials begin to hoard it for themselves. The slander campaign in Congo also goes relatively well, however the Congolese government is able to respond well to many of the points made by their dissenters and as such the Commonwealth's campaign may need to be revisited.
