Dear brethren in GOD,                                                                                                                                       29th of  The Amber Cold, 1567

"During these great times of challenge and intensity, we pray to the Creator, of which we derive our wisdom, strength, and might. We pray to the Saints as prime examples of

holiness and virtue. I take the name, Sixtus IV, in memory of Sixtus III who reigned from 1512-1518 virtuously by making the conversion of all peoples to God a mandate and died a martyr for the glory of God. Therefore, it is with great joy and modesty that I was chosen by the Seven Skies to serve as the Vicar of God, representative of his Canon and authority in the Realm.

The Church is alive. With this statement, let us call to mind our universal mission of evangelization, peace, unity, and service to one another. Let the Gospel be heard all throughout our hearts and may it be heard to those who do not know our Great Lord. The symbol of my office is of divinity reserved to serve the Lord with great diligence.

As Shepherd of the faithful flock, I have been entrusted to guide all Canonist to this aforesaid called of devotion. First and foremost, I ask you to pray for me, and in turn, I shall do

the same for all of you. Let us always remember our true mission as beings of God, that we are the fulfillment of His divine plan. I understand the many problems Oren faces in these recent times. I assure you, your church, ordained by the Light of the Godhead, shall fulfill its ministry and exercise his authority, both temporal and spiritual, for the good of all men and woman. Let it be known, for my intentions are to honor God and administer the sacraments with great reverence."

The High Pontiff ends his homily to the people. He then takes his vows, reciting all of the Principles of Faith toward the clergy and the laity gathered.

"I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, Blessed be His Name, is the Creator and Guide of everything that has been created; He alone has made, does make, and will make all things.

I believe with perfect faith that the Exalted were the Creators Regents in this realm and that there obedience is worship to the Creator.

I believe with perfect faith that the Aenguls are The Creators servants.

I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, Blessed be His Name, is One, and that there is no unity in any manner like His, and that He alone is our God, who was, and is, and will be.

I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, Blessed be His Name, has no body, and that He is free from all the properties of matter, and that there can be no (physical) comparison to Him whatsoever.

I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, Blessed be His Name, is the first and the last.

I believe with perfect faith that to the Creator, Blessed be His Name, and to Him alone, it is right to worship, and that it is not right to worship any being besides Him.

I believe with perfect faith that all the words of the Exalted Prophets are true.

I believe with perfect faith that the prophecy of Horen I our teacher, blessings be upon him, was true, and that he was the chief of the Exalted, both those who preceded him and those who followed him.

I believe with perfect faith that the entire scrolls that is now in our possession is the same that was given to our Exalted, blessings be upon them.

I believe with perfect faith that the Holy Scrolls can not be corrupted.

I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, Blessed be His Name, knows all the deeds of beings and all their thoughts.

I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, Blessed be His Name, rewards those who keep His commandments and punishes those that transgress them.

I believe with perfect faith that there will be eternal splendor at the time when it shall please the Creator, Blessed be His name, and His mention shall be exalted for ever and ever."

The High Pontiff then pauses, recomposing himself before tracing the cross of Lorraine whilst giving the blessing.

"I now bless you all, In nomine Patris, et Horenus, et Exaltus Honorem."

A priest would walk up, proclaiming to the congregation,

"I announce to you with great joy: We have a High Pontiff!"

The Most Eminent and Most Reverend Lord, Benegar Gotthold, High Pontiff of the Canonist Faith who takes to himself the name,

Sixtus IV

"What a niggardly pontifical name," comments Hermann acridly, "What is it with these upjumped friars knowing so little of history as to take names quite so poorly? Theodosius, Sixtus, bah! What I wouldn't give for another good Lucien. That's a name with some actual history behind it, heh."
