A seems extreme, so I think C would work best.

It's not extreme at all, making such a large map was extreme. :L

*making so many cities was extreme

you can have a big map with a low amount of settlements. small maps with cities crammed in within 1000 blocks of each other is dumb

Or you could provide the details now so that people know what they're voting for. What reason would you have to withhold that information until the vote is already concluded?

Because we don't have any details at the moment - it's just an idea for now, but if it does get chosen to be the majority we'll develop the idea further.

@shiftnative

I have a few questions regarding the new map. If you or any of the other staff could answer them I'd greatly appreciate it.

  • What is the size of the new map both including and excluding the ocean that surrounds the mainland up to the world border?
  • Will there be pre-building for Nations and or other groups?
  • If it is permitted, will the amount of pre-building be at all limited (As in building a small settlement or town, not just instantly starting with a huge city)?
  • Should there be no pre-building, will player groups be given any starting resources for the purpose of building?

Thank you in advance if you can answer any of these questions.

I'll be making a post in the near future with a lot more details regarding the next map Silent, sorry about the wait for now though :c.

Can we still add possible ideas/solutions or is the vote too far in by now?

(Currently out shopping, will check back later.)

Solution A is really stupid in my opinion. It's incredibly unfair to everyone except for the people living on Tahn.

Solution B/D is the temp map idea which I really disagree with because temp maps will bring nothing to the table. If it'd be used for a story, sure, but LotC already has no ongoing story, so nah. Plus, IF it will be used for a story, it's a bit late now. Maybe you can reinstate a server wide story again in 6.0. Players also won't donate if they'll know that the realm which they'll be donating for will be a temp map.

Solution C is what I was for because I believe that temp maps will not do anything. If you have to stall 6.0, do it. But the next map after Axios should be another main map.

Why are all these solutions so incredibly bad? Granted their not all outright terrible, but they all just seem off

@Wrynn  @501warhead

Why don't you just refund those charters their bloody earned minas.
At least because there's no reason for a random tribal group to pay 10k minas just to settle in the middle of nowhere. And removing two of three maps still doesn't make sence in RP at all.

Solution A doesn't even need players voting because I know there are several nations that surely would do it aslong as you promise to compensate them, those people should be able to move themselves no matter what even if the vote is in the negative. The reality is that moving those nations that want to be moved onto empty areas of Tahn will make RP more active and the map more RP friendly.

I'd suggest staff to instead talk with nation leaders and have them talk with their councils, nobles, brothers whatever their fellow authority figures in the nation is called and have them make a decision. It is very likely many of them will take the offer. There are many in the playerbase that just want the best for the server when it comes to matters like this, contrary to popular belief.

But what do I know, just a suggestion.

Bump to save Veris and Sutica. #BiggestRpHubsMatter

Sadly, Veris is going to die out in 2-3 weeks, however, with how animeish the city looks you should end up attracting all of the edgies so I think your good. +1
