solution A aint gonna do much but cause problems and land scarring ya numb nutts. most ppl im sure don't wanna rebuild their capital if its only gonna last like, what? 3 months? there's no worth in doing so and you're just gonna kill off groups that way

wanna fix rp? shut down lotc, its time for it to be buried 6ft under

"BUT I HAVE A LIFE OTHER THAN LOTC"

Then maybe you and your friends who are too busy for the server shouldn't have a special snowflake area that is not used and makes the server look bad.

everyone that plays on lotc is a special snowflake. would u tell ur irl friends that you ROLEPLAY on a fantasy MINECRAFT server? no u wouldn't, cuz they'd think ur a weird freak if u told them.

sit down rib man, u need to stop playing lotc

The fact is that everyone is salty in one way or another if an Isle is removed. I mean I think we have produced enough salt to make the ocean look diluted. With that you guys really have no reason to go throwing around, "I THINK YOUR ISLE IS MORE TRASH SO LETS SINK IT!" At each other. If everyone would just calm down and stop yelling at each other maybe we could actually have a compromise or at least better way of going about things.

Next is you all talking about how one place is more active then the other place and really that's just stupid because you cannot fully track activity without being a no-life god and being apart of every group in existence. So stop saying that Veris is more active, or Sutica is more active, or Norland and all that is more active. It seems like you aren't arguing about which isle should be destroyed and instead arguing about how great one nation is to compared to another.

Then we have rebuilding capitals. Personally I find it quite fun to build and all that, I would also expect other builders to think so as well. And yes I know everyone hates when their creations are destroyed, but when they are it leaves the opportunity to get a better build, a more beautiful build. Every builder can always improve themselves in some way or form.

Now not to say I'm slightly biased towards Tahn... But I kind of am, unless there is a way to improve some problems I have with trashing it. First of all is space, and while you might say, "Ceru has tons of land!" How much of that land is claimed by another nation? Most if not all of it, and while you also might say, "Then just war claim them!" Some nations may not have the resources or people to do such. Also if you try joining them good luck orienting your culture into the nation that already has a culture of its own. Then move to Asul you might say but that also comes with its fair share of problems. Problems such as compensation, while Asul may be big it's not big enough to fully compensate every nation and if every nation is not compensated people will get quite pissed and rampage on the forums some more.

There's the problem of the pvp just filled with diamond armor and such. And while you might say, "Well that just makes it more fun!" It will just be mostly endgame resources being gathered so the economy will rely on those resources mostly to thrive. And while there might be a couple shops here and there that sell normal supplies there wont be many because everyone is investing into the reliable source of income; diamond armor, potions, and horses.

Also Orc's best nation, awesome nation, most active, better then everyone in the universe... Kappa

Sky, you know Veris beats a bunch of nature hippies. Go hug some trees or I'll make your other playerbase into carpets!

Is this your first map? This isn't mine. Being connected to a map is a quick way to fall out of lotc. One day the map Will change, whether everyone wants it too or not. I was connected to my first map, the one with the dangerous north. I fell out of lotc less than a month after the map changed, I just couldn't get into the new map. I realized that in order for lotc to continue to live, the map HAS to change. (Also certain updates might make it so that we have to update, you never know what mojang might do)

I am a dwarf, but I don't think A is the right way to go. I'd rather have a temp map and let us make our own capitals(Personally I love tent camp RP) But the temp map has to have access to the mine world As it changes, not like, 3 weeks later, that's how people end up angry at staff. Before you change map make sure the next one is ready for us...Even if there is only one mine at spawn at first at least its something. ((Though I honestly enjoyed the time in that one temp map where we were stuck in the mining world/trying to find enough food for everyone))

Just don't randomly change the maps, Give us a RP reason, A story line, Something server wide that explains it!

Also shiftnative might be onto something, but honestly I miss the days where you built the thing On the server, not on a build server then schematica it in. It takes the fun out of everything.

I think most people have a special connection to their first map they come to LOTC with. Probably why people fall out and stop playing is when the map changes(probably come back at the start of each new map but, dont stay). Kinda reminds me WoW... lol

@shiftnative

I have a few questions regarding the new map. If you or any of the other staff could answer them I'd greatly appreciate it.

  • What is the size of the new map both including and excluding the ocean that surrounds the mainland up to the world border?
  • Will there be pre-building for Nations and or other groups?
  • If it is permitted, will the amount of pre-building be at all limited (As in building a small settlement or town, not just instantly starting with a huge city)?
  • Should there be no pre-building, will player groups be given any starting resources for the purpose of building?

Thank you in advance if you can answer any of these questions.

Solution A will require a cataclysmic event. We need RP for it to happen, luckily I have some ideas.. If only the staff would even take them seriously.

Two of the only active RP hubs on the server are on Ceru and Asul, it would be a bit bizarre to force them to up and move...

I agree, I think we should sink Tahn and Asul and force everyone to go to Ceru.
