The Army of Kaz'Ulrah

Fierce and cold dwarven warriors. An army formed out of many different clans who seek freedom and independence and are willing to protect it with all they have. The army of Kaz’Ulrah acts as a guard force in the city of Jornheim and protect the safety of their citizens, their duty lies with the High King of the Kingdom. They are bound by their oath and are willing to stand by it, even in death.

 

 

Chain of Command / Military Ranks:

High King Verthaik Frostbeard II

The High King has complete authority over the Army. He gives orders to his Marshal, commanding him what to do in battle. The Marshal is obliged to follow these orders.

Marshal Torvin 'The Flaming Star' Blackaxe

The Marshal job is assigned to a dwarf by the High King of Kaz’Ulrah. He is responsible for maintaining the army and get them into good shape. In times of The Marshal is supposed to lead the army into battle, leading them to victory.

 

-- Centurion --

Centurion Tagum Blackaxe

Centurions are brave leaders who have proven themselves in the Marshal’s eyes. Centurions are responsible for their cohort and are to maintain their cohort and do practice drills with them. Each cohort is specialized in one type of combat. There are currently two cohorts, these being the Cavalry Cohort and Heavy Infantry Cohort.

 

 

-- Longbeard --

Longbeards are the elite of a certain cohort. Only the most experienced soldiers are able to get this rank. This is the highest attainable rank that is not an officer.

 

-- Ironguard --

The Ironguards make up the main bulk of the army. They’re experienced warriors fighting for their Kingdom.

 

-- Initiate --

Every soldier starts off as an initiate. In this stage these initiates need to prove themselves to be given a true spot in the army.

 

Weekly Wages:

Centurion - 350 minas

Longbeards - 250 minas

Ironguard - 150 minas

Initiate - 75 minas

Practices:

Drills are very necessary in the army to keep the soldiers in shape for battle. Practice drills are done weekly by either the Centurions or the Marshal himself. Soldiers should be present at every drill to gain more respect and gain a rank-up.
