Questions On The Landscar That Was Curon

Hi all! You've probably never heard of me, but I have a question on the Curonian landscar. Apparently there was an activity check there recently, and it was noticed that the sign was broken. I have a few questions. 1. I understand that you can't deny the activity check, but who lives there even? Please leave me a comment if you do. It was griefed long ago, and the few buildings left standing are the church, a training area and a castle. No houses, no rebuilding effort, so whoever broke the sign is... odd. Number 2 is that, despite the activity, the rules also state it must be good-looking. And if the present state of Curon is "Good-Looking" then I'm the king of England. I respect the GM's and all that they do, and they do do an absolute TON,  I think that Curon no longer meets the standard of quality that other builds on LoTC are held to, and should be torn down, save the buildings that are undamaged. Thank you for reading this.

Yeah it was forgettable after a while but frankly if the GM's want to show that they're actually doing their job, as they do a lot of behind-the-scenes work and get guff for it, tearing down Curon would improve the public opinion by solving a genuine problem with the map.

Someone was breaking the signs and apparently a rebuild is scheduled for Curon. Let's not jump on the "GMS ARE BAD" hatewagon already. They're doing their job, but if Curon is going to continue to stagnate I'll put a notice on the place from the WD Team to improve.

Oh, thank you, I'm fairly certain not many people have heard of that. And, as I mentioned, I have nothing against GM's personally, I just think that it's been "In the works" for a while. But thanks for the heads-up, 501!

To give some more context to the situation we've had a couple activity checks placed on the freebuild as we do agree that it does not look the best and has been pretty inactive. In terms of judging the build we requested that progress be made on it and we asked that all the floating blocks and chests that were locked be broken down to help fix the issue of it breaking rp immersion. I helped with some of the unlocks so that they could clean up the build and as 501 confirmed they are working on a rebuild which is in the works.

I do agree that it has been really inactive and there are other spots of conquest on the map that held the same fate such as Norland, which is also in not that great of shape. If there are no signs of progress with it there will definitely be more communication between staff and the leadership that holds Curon, but at this time the build isn't gonna get axed or anything! Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks, Fireheart! My question on who lives there is the only major one I have. I was just concerned, as there isn't much there and some of the builds are actually super good and I'd like to see how it turns out and if some of the old builders will return. So, thank you guys for responding and answering my questions

Okay I'm going to comment as orginally myself and @ACU20 were doing the rebuild. But after some events in rp that land was handed to @Vege. So it's fair to assume @501warhead and @Fireheart that no rebuild will happen on the land.

Nobody owns that, yet there's someone who removes the activity checks. And the sign saying 'rebuilding on build server' has been there ever since Renatus won it the first time. Way before Courland even returned to take it over and nothing has been done since then. It has stayed untouched for too ling and the people who own it either quit or aren't planning anything with it

O, well in that case I'll track down who has been removing the signs and see if I can figure up what is up! Thanks for the update.

It's currently renatus land, while it should be torn down, do remember the building is mainly there to mark it as owned land.
