Devland99 180 Share Posted August 28, 2019 Turn 14 2214 Democratic Laconian Systems The Tintra-Fareen war sees no change, fighting along the border was drawn out and sporadic after the first large engagement. Tintran intelligence believes now would be a good time to counter-attack or raid. Republic of Korinth Finally after successfully testing it between Korinthos and Olympus, scientists could present their completed quantum communications. (Completed) They arrive on a rather barren planet, its only features is the cold vacuum and volcanic activity. Abundant food does lead to some more growth rate this year however it would not be long-term. ( 0.15%+ Growth) CORRUPTOR DOMINION Painfully and slowly drifting through space, the away ship discovered a faint source of artificial radio waves coming from a nearby solar system. It would need to refuel however before it could make the journey. Redon Empire As the math for quantum communications became solidified, the Redon scientist working on the project managed to broadcast information successfully. (Completed) The ship would find an oddity, a frozen world with a strong gravity well of 2 G’s. H’Wong Nation They find nothing but barren systems and cold vacuum, their speed helping to scour most systems in their western tile. Artificial gravity eludes the H’wong once again this year, scientist believing they need to make adjustments to the design. More funding should give them a working prototype. Finally the team working on the hand-held lasers had presented a multitude of working weapons. They’re a little unreliable when put under continued stress and the batteries used are prone to burning out quickly. However they wield power to burn through most body armor being used by the H’wong after testing. (T1 Infantry lasers unlocked.) The Remnant A successful test of their deflectors yielded subpar results, they did help to slow down incoming projectiles enough to allow armor to take slightly less damage. They could not however continue this under strain, larger projectiles causing the field to fail quickly. (T1 Deflectors completed) The Foundry Such a large project for a deadly ship in the hands of robotniks, they would need more time and materials to properly implement engines and shock absorbers to allow its heavy armor to breach atmosphere. The Republic of Tassarea The ship lands successfully opting to tell its occupants to remain away from the goo. After venturing north for some time, the colony ship finds a world open for colonization. U N I O N T H U L È E N E Warp drive research concludes this year with the proper design. (T1 Warp unlocked.) Quantum communications however has trouble with its math and code, they’ll need more time. They find nothing more than a few habitable worlds and barren systems. Talarak Clan The Ka’cezh prisoners are nothing more than miners and civilians, they yield only information of their families and nearby system that had amassed the Ka’cezh warfleet. Their only knowledge of the military is that they recently produced the first heavy cruiser of their nation. Even warping south, many Talarakian ships could detect increased signal pings from the North. They awoke a giant it would seem, Ka’cezh presence only seem to increase and if they were not careful they would be pursued. Their scouts report no sign of life to their south, it was quiet and dreary. Stealth tech still continues this year, it was quite hard to focus with the gun fire outside and the drunken yowls of their fellow pirates. The Antebellum Corporation The Protorians drive a hard bargain and the lack of decent communication doesn’t make it easy to get a good deal. They purchase 20 Tons of material for an exchange of 20,000 credits. (20 M for 20 C) Corporation scientists finally unlock the power of quantum communications and with conflict burning across their systems, this would help greatly. (QC Unlocked) The competition helps with deflector research but the time frame does not, they need more time to properly code and implement prototypes and test them. Conflict on the western colony continues as soldiers on the ground fighting for the majority of the year, the ships unable to really breach the orbital defenses set up by the Antebellum forces. 9,000 Infantrymen and 55 tanks are lost over the span of the year as fighting seems to be reserved. Early 2214 more hostile ships arrive containing 3 more assault ships, a destroyer and 2 corvettes. They also seem to deploy their corvettes and other ships to do quick bombing runs on the fortifications, the pressure is mounting and soon more casualties. (11 T, 11,000 C) Research Expenditure: 28 RP (3 RP) After witnessing the comparative firepower of the Fareen to themselves, a new approach had to be taken to even the odds. Development begins on researching better Kinetic weapons for the fleet, the quicker they could kill the faster the numbers would even out. [T2 Ship Kinetics] (25 + 25 Tintra + 10 = 60 RP) Captain Capybara immediately requisitioned to high command for a new change in ship design after the battle. Many destroyers were picked apart too easily for much of the brass to handle. To ensure more ships make it to the next battle, new hulls were drawn up with less weak points but reduced the mass to enable a sleeker and stronger profile. It’s a far cry from the bulky and linear designs being used now. (T2 Ship Support Hull research) (COMBINED RESEARCH WITH TINTRA.) Devland99 180 Share Posted September 3, 2019 (edited) Turn 15 2215 Democratic Laconian Systems Most of the research in designing better kinetics is placed on its propellant and bullet. They’ll need more time however and way more funding then they had this year to complete it. The combined research project between the two republics yields the best outcome for the year. Their screens all receive new and stronger ship hulls. (T2 Screen Hulls unlocked) The Tintra-Fareen war escalates this year as engagements strike anew with a fresh Fareen fleet striking out. A Tintran colony previously used as a staging point is now under siege, the Tintran report they’re holding but casualties are mounting. Republic of Korinth A quiet year in Korinth, many people continue their business on the many worlds and colonies. Some though talk of the mysterious beings they had come into contact with years prior. Research into making the deflectors project an even more powerful field goes well until the reactors on board begin to suffer extreme overloads. They would need a stronger power source or higher yield from their fusion reactors to properly get this field going. CORRUPTOR DOMINION Screeching and eagerly preparing aboard their vessels, the fleet finally arrives in system. Their prey is akin in tech level to a cold war era humanity. Three large nation states are the dominant superpowers, all caught up in a series of hot skirmishes and cold war. Redon Empire An eager colony ship deploys on a quite arid world with a suitable atmosphere for the Redon. The people quickly expand on world and soon ping back it is sustainable. A quiet year otherwise for the empire, one full of growth and peace. H’Wong Nation A great success for the people of H’wong as the first fur foot steps and walks across a hallway with gravity beneath his feet. Hundreds of civilian craft eagerly take advantage of this new research and soon the entire nation is walking along their vessels. The scientist open the boxes and turn on the computers from their previous kinetics research, those that had worked on it before were close to a breakthrough but picking up where they left off left many with confusion. Another year testing their previous efforts could lead to a stronger punch. The Remnant Research droids are appalled when their reactors begin to show signs of great stress, the field buckling under the strain of power draw. The droids would need to re-look at the way they see deflectors. Such a small amount of time and drones dedicated to researching scanners, at this rate, little progress is made for the year. They manage to translate some words and sentences but the gap of holding a full conversation is still very apparent. The Foundry The superstructure, armor, factories and point defense weapons are all completed and finished. The first test-bed was tested on a planet with minimal atmosphere, it’s engines burning hard to counteract the weight and mass of the ship. They fire up, burning hard at full speed. It slams into the world crushing the vessel under the weight of itself, it would need stronger engines. Hundreds of thousands of little droids skitter out of their facilities droning and beeping as they are transported to their facilities. Talarak Clan The Ka’cezh prisoners after much interpretation and abuse for the most part refuse to serve their captors, they’ll be put to good use as mining thralls. A Ka’cezh scout frigate warps nearby a Talarak civilian vessel, it hailed the ship before matching its structure and warping out. Pings are detected like angry bees, the task force had found them so far from home. It was not long before a small group of escorts would be detected en-route. Despite being found by the incoming Ka’cezh one of the smarter pirate scientists finally presents his stealth armor. Working best at long-range, it diffuses sensors making the ship either invisible at far distance or akin to an asteroid. (T1 Stealth Armor) The Antebellum Corporation With great determination and fear for their family, scientists work every waking hour on perfecting the art of floaty armor. By the end of the year they are so very close to projecting a successful field, they only need more time to finish it. The western colony finally sees the hostile aliens deploy on the world after the strongest wave of bombardment to date hits the planet. All six assault ships strategically deploy to invade the capital city of the planet. An additional 3 destroyers warp into the sector as well, the hostile fleet was at critical mass.. News of this however does finally reach the Antebellum nation in its entirety. The total casualties stand reported stand at 12,000 Regular soldiers, 19,000 Militia, and 33 Tanks. Civilian casualties stand at 64,000 innocents, bombed or shot in the carnage. TAKE NOTE THIS IS PENDING TO CHANGE, YOU MAY LOSE OR GAIN TECH AND RESOURCES.
