The 12th of the Sun's Smile, 1792

It is with a heavy heart that I am writing you this letter today. I am writing to officially quell the rumors and let you all know that I’m saying goodbye to Carrington & Co. The company has brought joy and grief to my family over the years. Abandoned by my fathers, my sisters, and now by me. Everything must come to an end.

I bid farewell to everyone who has worked with the company (or even against), I thank you for everything you’ve done for the company and for me. To my close friends and family, your guidance and wisdom has helped make me the person I am today. I couldn’t have done it without any of you.

I sit here today contemplating the direction of Carrington & Co but it only seems fit to close for good. We must make way for new businesses to thrive. We’ve had our moment in the spotlight but we’ve run our course.

I myself will be taking a trip to find my fathers after I settle some things. I’m sure I’ll be back to visit from time to time, but do not seek me out. I’m glad I had the opportunity to meet all of you and I’ll miss you all dearly. Farewell for now.

Once again, thank you for everything.

Yours Truly,

- Alpha Carrington

Spoiler

For those of you wondering, I won't be playing my character much anymore. I’ve had many great memories roleplaying with all of you and I hope we can rp again soon. I’ve had little time as of recently to get on and it's easier for me to drop any roleplay responsibilities I had. If you’d like to have a little roleplay moment for a one last time type thing just send me a pm! This post is a roleplay post so if you have anything to say to me OOC just pop it in a spoiler.

Much Love,
PEACHCOOL

(A special thank you to @DISCOLIQUID, ___sneaky___, @Heff, @mata, @EddyTheBrave, and @ChumpChump)

"This is so sad. The Carrington & Co. was the greatest company of Oren. And I also truly miss Secretary Green Carrington and his family. Secretary Jasper Carrington was like a brother to me after all." Sir Edward Galbraith would sign the Lorraine, hoping to meet his old Carrington friends once again in the future.

A pair of eyes gaze upon the parchment silently, hand gripping onto it, meanwhile the other cradle a glass of wine. She feels no sorrow nor joy at the conclusion of both an era and Company - rather - she feels content and neutrality. Thus the woman smiles, and her smile remains until she'd allow her eyes to cast over every individual within the provided painting below until she heave the missive into the flames. As the fire gnaws away at the material she would sip her vintage, eyes fluttering shut.

The Merit of Men. A dream that the dead Emperor wished to accomplish. A dream which is still occurring. A dream that we live in. The old generation has faded and replaced with anew - will it carry on? or will it die out? - only those newfound victors and leaders could decide.

Lorilei Marijke stood beside Alpha as she penned the companys final missive. The womans heart heavy with rare empathy, a supportive hand laid on the enduring Carrington's shoulder.

"It is only the end for now, Alpha." She croaks out reassuringly against the atmospheres defeaning silence.

Beryl Edmund Carrington,

a mere boy, would skim his eyes over the missive, and his eyes would widen in shock as he read over the bit about Alpha Carrington leaving, to look for family, his hands would shake and would look terrified, uttering only "No...-No, No No, No! Not Again, she can't be leaving....!" He'd say as he rushed off to find her, hopefully praying that she hadn't left already, running through the halls of the empty manor.

Tanith hears of the news from her residence in Haense. She sighs over the letter and tucks it for safekeeping into her diary.

"The Carrington Family helped me get on my feet when I first moved to Helena. I would've been destitute without them. I wish them nothing but the best in the future."

Declan Flynt sighs, and reads the pamphlet.

"So long, lads and lasses. I'm gonna miss ye.

He folded the paper up, and slipped it into his coat. He sighed once more, as he looked up into the sky, while the bustling docks moved around him.

"Till we meet again, Alpha. One of d' greatest friends I ever knew.

Masamune Musashi looks at the leaflet, and sighs. The Carringtons were the first family to offer their hand to him. He, who was commonly seen as an outsider. He quietly sheds a singular tear, before opening a scroll and penning a note with ink and quill.

"To Alpha, I hope this letter finds you well. I am sorry to hear that the company has ended, but I trust your decision was for the best. The city of Helena just grew that much dimmer, but I hope to see you again in the future. You extended a hand to me when I needed it most, and for that, I am forever in your debt. You may call on me in your time of need, and I will be there.

Your greatest ally,

                       Masamune Musashi."

And with that, he folded the letter up into a neat little package, and raised it into the air. As if by some sort of magic or luck, the wind picked up, and carried the letter off in a flurry of Cherry Blossom petals, to find it's rightful owner.

George Galbraith would look at the missive, unsure of what to think. He would recall his early entry into statecraft: an underling and aide to the former Secretary of the Treasury, Green Carrington. The President of the Commons would fold the missive, putting it aside with a sigh as he would gaze outside the window, the aging man reflecting on his youth.

"Oh, how far we've come...He'd mutter to himself.

Fredrich Carrington smiled as he looked on at the announcement, his hands clutching the paper as he held it close to his chest. A tear rolling down his cheek, as the memories of his family, and the joys that Carrington and Co. brought him.

"I have never been more proud of you Alpha."

He smiled, as his gaze turned towards the ocean.

"No..." the young Carrington-d'Arkent, Victoria Anne murmured upon reading the missive. "They can't give up so easily. Not like this..." The youth shook her head fervently before crumpling up the piece of parchment in her fist and tossing it into the fireplace.

Word reaches to a woman some distance away, who reads the missive with a curious glance. A nod of approval, nothing more.
