THE HEARTLANDS RESTORED

 

ON THE RESTORATION OF OUR CAPITAL

After some years of reconstruction, and previously drafting blueprints of such, the Crown is delighted to express and pronounce the new town that was erected from the ruins of old Vienne, which state was enormously neglected, and precedingly looted by the Acrean forces in the Harvest Revolution.

 

The jewel of Aaun rests by the River Petra upon the fertile lands of the Heartlands, encroached by the colossal  marble walls, which themselves have stood the test of time, and few administrations. The Basilica of Saint Alexander of Furnestock, hovers over the city, the building’s roof absent, as means of deeper connection between our GOD, and us, his believers. Opposite of the holy grounds is the marble Castle Ardor, the residence of the Royal Household, the most modified structure of all, its architecture sharing close proximity to that of the Savoyards and Campagnois. The city is inhabited by numerous classes, ranging from farmers to merchants, and bureaucrats. Yet, all united by their vision of the future, and freed from tyrannical and absolute regimes.

 

SO WITH THIS EDICT, DO WE DECLARE THE RESTORATION OF OUR REALM, AND THESE HEARTLANDS TO BE COMPLETE

THE CONGRESS OF THE CROWNLANDS

 

The Congress of the Crownlands is a legislative body, consisting of Yeomen and Burghers, they are charged with the creation and amendment of law and judicial statutes. 

This edict delegates the following competencies to the Congress of the Crownlands;
 

I. The Congress of the Crownlands has been tasked with the creation of new laws, city ordinances, and statutes which require a vote of majority to be passed.
II. The Congress of the Crownlands has been tasked with the amendment of laws, city ordinances, and statutes which require a vote of majority to be passed.

THE LORD BURGHER

 

 HIS EXCELLENCY, The Lord Burgher serves as head of the municipal government and is elected amongst the Burghers for a term of four years.

 

This edict delegates the following competencies to the Lord Burgher of the City of New Vienne;

 

I. The Lord Burgher has been bestowed the responsibility to lead the municipal government and delegate to relevant individuals by assigning them to a post within the government and sacking any unfit individual.
II. The Lord Burgher has been bestowed the responsibility of the city’s purse, consisting of sums allocated by the Crown upon request by his office. 

III. The Lord Burgher has been instructed to distribute alms to the impoverished individuals.

IV. The Lord Burgher has been instructed to uphold the will of the people and the laws.

THE BURGHER

 

HIS HONOUR, The Burgher is an individual, who possesses property in the City of New Vienne. His seat is bound by his property.

THE STEWARDRY AND MILITARY 

 

I. The Stewardy of the City of New Vienne is administered by the Stewardry of the Crownlands.

II. The defence of the City of New Vienne is administered by the Carolean Guard, under the jurisdiction of the Crown.
