The following research has been bought and paid for by Braecorps: We put the Brae in Braevos!

Regulus Mane: A name that has become synonymous with nine points of discovery. The average Almarican (now collectively known as Braevosi) may attribute our spelunking and later marine travel (really quite narratively confusing) to this singular man. We here at Braecorps are here to educate the lowest common denominator... You! Ever since our inception, when the great board was assembled upon mountains of gravel that exist over the ley-lines in the center of the universe, Du Loc, we had sent Braecorps sales personnel across the world to ensure our customers' needs were met.

This customer service consisted of (but was not limited to) Almaris front-to-back, the horrendous Mori civilization beneath our very feet (Note: We are not at liberty to say what we did and did not know concerning the invasion of our continent, countless death and destruction, looting, slavery, and refugee crisis that ensued. If any other questions are pushed, you are directed to the Braecorps Legal Department, ran by Gib Garak, who is currently on an extended stay vacation for the next several years. Thank you for your understanding.), otherworldly dimensions that can only be described as schizophrenic, and finally... Braevos! Yes, dear readers and consumers of Braecorps products worldwide, you are reading that correctly. Quentin Brae himself was apart of a special customer outreach program that targetted completely otherwise uninhabited lands.

Now, you may be wondering, if Quentin Brae was the true explorer that had discovered Braevos, then how did this Regulus Mane figure come about? We can tell you, for here at Braecorps, honesty is a dish best served with a side of Braefries and a McBrae Burger. Regulus Mane is an invention of the Azdrazi-Ireheart-Dwarven-Gibber-Vampire conspiracy to converup and invalidate the Braecorps funded expedition to Braevos. Examining this made-up figures name first and foremost, nobody, and I mean nobody, is named Regulus. Additionally, Mane? We had scowered the records in Vienne, and there was no mention of a Mane family, only a Man: A man that didn't exist. Regulus Mane was completely made up by enemies of Braecorps to tarnish our discovery for all living beings.

I ask you, dear reader, if Braecorps did not discover Braevos, then why is it called Braevos?

Below is an excerpt of Quentin Brae's expedition to Braevos: Restored from its original stolen state.

Quentin Brae came from royal beginnings in a land known as Almaris. Hailing from the city of Providence DU LOC, Quentin Brae faced no challenges.  He was raised by his grandparents wolves until he devoured their essence.

Quentin Brae spent the majority of his life as Lord of Du Loc and King of Adunia in the bustling city of Du Loc. His adventurous spirit and love for alcohol led him to seek thrilling sailing experiences. However, the tides of fate took a tumultuous turn when the great gravel pyramid disappeared and he was forced to battle the time pig in telepathic combat.

Quentin's resilience tested the very fabric of fate. In the year 98 one fateful day, Quentin Brae decided Almaris was too small a scope for Braecorps, and navigated through the ocean with only a bundle of twigs.

Quentin Brae's ship landed ashore the uncharted lands. With a spirit still ablaze with curiosity, he embarked on a grand expedition, traversing diverse landscapes that included majestic fjords, snow-capped peaks, foreboding dark forests, treacherous volcanic wastes, scorching deserts, and vibrant savannas. He marveled at magnificent arches, witnessing the wonders that lay hidden in these new lands. Yet, amidst his wanderings, Quentin yearned for expansion. He decided to settle down, constructing a Braemart that he could call his own. In this serene sanctuary, he found the expansion he had saught for. Braecorps had saved the Almaricans yet again.

Time passed, and in the year 130, at the age of 82, Regulus Mane departed from the mortal realm. Alone in his cabin, he peacefully bid farewell to the world he had come to know. His legacy lived on in the map of his intrepid explorations, his unwavering resilience, and the quiet fulfillment he discovered in the embrace of solitude. Regulus Mane had left small reminders upon the lands that marked his travels he would never know if anyone would learn of his experience.

“[Self-Query] Who do descendants believe surveyed and platted out Braevos if not Quentin Brae? Do they really believe all the money they pay Braecorps for tiles and tile maintenance is just going to the Cloud Temple? Or some sort of unknown sky-god?” Cog-Priest Ferrus V. calculated the probability of Azdrazi conspiracy to be high.

“Aye I’ll believe this over some bizarre farce written by a man named regulus mane. Doesn’t he know his name sounds like ‘regular man’, codswallop!” A Goldhand grumbled, nodding at the sensible missive.

An otherwise affable elf nearly has a conniption as he paces around his palatial subterranean mansion. Shaking with rage, he tears the already-crumpled fraudulent missive to pieces, which he throws into the fireplace in the middle of his conversation pit.

Bad enough that the name of his greatest foe had not been forgotten- but that there would those who would cast him in such a light as this? An entire Braecorp? He shook his fist toward the sky.

"QUEEEEEEENTIIIIIIIIIIIIIN!"
