It is a complex world we find ourselves in, vast and interconnected in ways that each of us could not possibly comprehend the fullness of.   The same holds true of myself, of course. There is only so much one mali can do, and to seek to assert one's wishes upon the entire world is a fool's errand. But still, there are areas which one may be intimate with and seek control, and it stands to reason that one should desire for what is before their very eyes to follow an order that they find appealing.   I shall not waste time speaking morally, or placing condemnation upon one person or another. Because truthfully, though I could certainly do this, our conflict has not stooped to such levels.     From the beginning, the wicked demonics of Hallowcliffe Hall sought to worm their way into the affairs of magi; why not? If one were to grasp at one wretched source of power, why not another? I was one of the first that they sought, within the lands of Hohkmat.     But I do not wish it to be so. Though magi of the Void may not realize it yet, we do not need your strength. Your corruption is a weakening one aside a wicked one, your presence nothing but a leech, a distraction, an annoyance. I told you this, and yet you continued to presume, to prod, to deceive.   But none of things matter. You are weak, and you have failed, your disciples fallen by my hand, and yourselves fled in disgrace from the protection of those you presume to rule. The conflict suffers no further details.   Sarryn and Dakaith of Hallowcliffe, your hall has been destroyed by my flame, and I shall continue to hunt you and expunge you until not one mage of the Void calls you friend or master. Those of the world with connections to this fallen home, you are offered the opportunity to eschew them permanently. If you do not, you shall be felled alongside your masters.   To any other of darker disposition who seek to meddle within the affairs of the magi, let this be known: ruin shall come for you. I love when weeks/months of RP planning to destroy something and going through the correct avenues for protections given to Lairs is destroyed by ooc pettiness of a PRO and rule breaking by them to let a raid destroy and evict peoples homes without proper timers :DDD

This is absolutely unacceptable. I did weeks of rp with insiders of Hallowcliffe in order to secure the perms necessary for this raid and now I'm getting ratioed by rukio13. Have a little empathy for me man.

apparently there's more going on regarding this whole deal than I thought and I don't want to say I know every single detail, but I just want to clarify that I have the receipts for the RP we did and the plans we made to go after hallowcliffe that stem as early back as from when I returned to the server sometime late december.

I don't see how what happened tonight thwarts the paladins' plans to destroy the lair - the place is still standing RPly and MCly. it's made of stone. we just emoted throwing fire everywhere and burning the ignitable objects. in no way was what happened tonight enough to completely topple any plan to completely decimate the lair. we asked for LC afterward, paid out of pocket to try to make it look presentable, and the only thing that's MCly altered is pretty much just the front foyer and surrounding hallways. the entire manor is otherwise utterly untouched, except for a few broken windows and RP signs

I just ask that people try to avoid going into this assuming the worst because from what I see this genuinely just seems like a huge misconception. I'm open to talking about and clarifying things as needed
