I don't hate PVP, I have fun PVPing especially in wars, I'm good at it and have the PC to use my skills, but I do enjoy role play fighting quite a bit myself, that is why I have voted to keep it default. Though I do have one issue with PVP default, I'll have to constantly wear armour again and that just makes my skin next to useless since I usually role play my armour when in RP fights because I like to show off the work my skinner has done. Other then that I won't lose any sleep if PVP is made default.

People can't just come up to you and murder you, they have to RP first. Tell them in a tell that you're wearing armour! We already have unspoken rule that you can RP having armour as long as it's in your inventory.

I think making a poll was a rather iffy decision. I am fine either way on what happens, but this just causes more turmoil within the community. Better to just make a decision on what you think is right, because we are clearly split.

I'd tell you to go look at the Livestream, but that'd be rude.

Duels will be a function where there are two sides, not necessarily just two players, and when both sides have agreed to have a duel the players involved may begin pvp. When a player dies they will go invisible until the battle is over, and the last team standing dictates the victor. All players will return to full health after the ordeal is over, and people can go wherever they were going previously. Dueling will be chooseable by both sides, but all sides must agree to it.

Yes it would especially since I'm on my iPod in bed at 1 am, without any functional earbuds and the worlds worst isolated wall between me and the next bedroom.

Thanks for the info.

Edit; Following this information I will just remove my vote and stay neutral since I have mixed feelings.

How else could we had done this though? If we simply counted post, there would be too much clutter and it would take forever. No matter what, the playerbase will complain. I suppose it's merely a matter of who would complain more.

A point I'd like to bring up about RP fighting and its supposed 'uber-realism' is a point KoTo and I discussed. Some RP fights I've been involved in have taken place over many MC days. Tell me how it is realistic to fight for days on end without a break. Most RP fights I've been involved in as of late have been an exercise of stalling until they can get a numbers advantage. "It's realistic that your RP fight would only take five minutes", try telling that to the people who have got there after one day in RP and decided to pile on. RP fighting just isn't viable in the same way PVP is in terms of the passage of time.

When did the server have 200-250 people on every day, the answer is in aegis And PVP Was default . Give it a try And You Will see how all the ooc bickering and@&!" Stops. The server has over. 300 people on in a PVP event lol -Ipod

The plugin simply makes the game more RPG like rather than actual roleplaying.

Again, it's simply like playing some RPG like Runescape or something. You level up skills and supposedly have those, but really, the combat is just basically who can click faster.

Or I don't know we can add in our plugin that you can only hit someone every second making spam click pointless?

Forgot to mention all the conversations that take days on end? Or the fact nobody sleeps?

Those don't make sense either following your logic yet I don't see you complaining because its necessary to have good rp.

300 people on in a PVP event lol

Actually a very interesting point... I wonder why everyone suddenly so excited about participating in a battle if they don't even support pvp...?

Because its a special event that doesn't happen often and that allows everybody to just chill from time to time.

If you haven't realized, we're nothing like Aegis anymore. We're not fighting undead here, we're fighting racial groups and such. Another reason why the server had so many players is because the application was ridiculously easy. My friend wrote how he was tortured by a necromancer and he was accepted, even though the only necromancers existing were pretty much the undead. The server in general was just simply more laxed. It was not just because of PVP default, trust me.

Exactly exactly exactly. This poll holds no merit. They will do what they see fit because they are put in charge of us and the server. No matter what happens, just trust them and roll with the punches. Every little thing will be alright!

I'm sorry Void, I think I might have worded my response poorly. What I was meaning was that if there was going to be such splits in the server, they would likely try to act in appeasement of the largest split as they believe this would have less effect. It's like a horrible robot once said! The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. No side is right or wrong in this arguement, but we can do just that. Argue.

Conversations can be particularly interesting, sleeping doesn't involve other people.

While roleplay fighting can be interesting it doesn't bring our community together. It tears us apart.

You can't RP a large scale battle. It would be far too hectic.

That happened in a completely different environment.  I know what you mean, PvP is good in plenty of situations, but having it as default in today's environment where the rage is full and people aren't as neat and detached from their characters will be notgood.
