  1. The Constable and Count of Marsana raised his blade up for inspection, before it made a return to its sheathe. "The damned veletzians are like roaches. When will vy know death, Gaspard? Demetrius made way for the main corridor of the Presidio to address the soldiers of the coming battle.
  2. “By Bones and Barrows.” Per Ossa et in Barcis Issued by the County of Marsana 3rd of Grand Harvest, 94 B.A. __________________________ Penned by the Count of Marsana, Ser Demetrius var Ruthern To the Citizenry of the Kingdom of Balian, it is with grieving hearts we announce the passing of Don Gaius Geoffrey var Ruthern and his wife, Dona Mariya Elizabeth Ruthern Novellen. The aging couple had been bedridden after the mourning of their daughter, Natalya Rosario vas Ruthern due to plague and sickness. Their ailment continued to decline, only having their long and dutiful lives prolonged by their son, Rhys var Ruthern. The pair shall be buried upon the County of Marsana, together. I, Don Demetrius var Ruthern, declare my parents deceased as of the 13th of Snow’s Maiden, 93 B.A. All of their assets shall be divided amongst their children as they see fit. Additionally, the House of Ruthern shall adorn black garbes for one saint week after the passing of both Count Emiratus Gaius and Lady Mariya. To my father, GOD rest your soul, my regret lies in my sister and your daughter, Charlotte Barrow, for I failed to hold together the family in which you and mamej created. It is GOD given duty to atone for such, it shall be as you wanted. __________________________ Eulogy of the Gaius e Mariya The life of Gaius Geoffrey var Ruthern was nothing short of a miserable and abrupt start, born from the union of Viktor Erik var Ruthern and Chloe Giselle de Rosius, Gaius was the first and only child to be born with the name Ruthern. In contrast, Mariya Elizabeth Ruthern Novellen was born from the marriage of Her Highness, Augustina Therosia Novellen and His Royal Highness, Joseph I, the Prince of Sedan. Though the marriage of her blooded parents was short, Mariya remained within the Kingdom of Balian to be raised in the halls of the Palace of Monterosa. As he entered the developmental stages of his life, Chloe Giselle de Rosius passed onto the Seven Skies and soon the disappearance and death of his father followed. Distraught and despondent, Gaius inherited the Barony of Marsana at the measly age of fourteen, having no members within his house. Early into adulthood, Gaius joined the government and enlisted into the military, eventually becoming the Minister of Interior and was seated upon the Royal Duana of Balian. Gaius was of great help in the efforts against the beast known as Cloudbreaker alongside the man who had fathered him, Ledicort Vuiller. Finding jubilation in the presence of his wife to be, Mariya Elizabeth Novellen, the two joined in holy matrimony in 47 B.A of Peter’s Glory. Following their wedding, was the birth of their first son and heir, Demetrius Laonicus var Ruthern, and the spare, Charlotte Valentina vas Ruthern and even further along came another pair of twins, Rhys Marcelo var Ruthern and Madalena Alexei vas Ruthern. Through Gaius' work and service to the crown following Ledicort’s retirement from leading the Royal Duana as Amiratus, he was found to be his successor, becoming the second Amiratus of the Royal Duana under King Alexander I. Gaius was a diligent worker and good father to his children, an even better husband after the birth of their second pair of twins had blinded Mariya, making her unable to continue her work as a Ambassador of Balian. After his third daughter, Natalya Rosario was born a cripple, the realm fell into disaster as the Mori’Quessar’s waged upon Almaris, inevitably forcing all descendants back to the fallen Kingdom of Savoy. Even then, Savoy wasn’t safe, escaping the armies through tunnels, they forged a path to the island of Failor, where Kristoff Alexios was born, the sixth and final child of the couple. Upon the journey’s end as the Ruthern mainline settled into Aevos, Gaius was rewarded with promotion to the peerage rank of Viscount and not long after, his son was knighted by King Adrian I. With his health slowly deteriorating and his wife already stuck within the confinements of Marsana. The accumulated stress from his long and dutiful years of service to the Crown as Amiratus, added with the sudden passing of his daughter, Natalya Rosario vas Ruthern was too much. His retirement was abrupt and his abdication from the newly earned title of Count more so. Ser Demetrius var Ruthern was named Count of Marsana and his father now Count Emiratus. Lord Gaius and Lady Mariya never did leave the manor much after their ailment worsened, a private viewing was held with only the present members of the mainline being able to witness, with exclusion of the disowned Charlotte Barrow. Gaius Geoffrey var Ruthern and Mariya Elizabeth Ruthern Novellen passed onto the seven skies in the 93rd year of the Balianese age, on the 13th of Snow’s Maiden, GOD rest their souls and make sure they’re guided to the eternal afterlife happily. __________________________ THE WILL AND TESTAMENT OF GAIUS GEOFFREY VAR RUTHERN AND MARIYA ELIZABETH RUTHERN The Will and Testament of Gaius Geoffrey var Ruthern and Mariya Elizabeth Ruthern Novellen will not be disclosed to the public as it was the wishes of the deceased. It is within best wishes of the Count of Marsana to have the wills of both be read aloud before the mainline and children of the couple by His Excellency, Ser Robert Joseph de Lyons. __________________________ Signed, His Excellency, Ser Demetrius Laonicus ‘Al Valiant’ var Ruthern, Constable of the Royal Duana, Fleet Admiral of the Royal Balianese Armada, Count of Marsana, Baron of Turanov, Patriarch of House Ruthern.
  3. Cyrus grimaced as he looked upon the missive, turning it to a ball as he set it to a candle. Soon after nothing but ash remained.
  4. The Count of Marsana squinted his eyes as he reviewed the missive, before setting it to rest upon his desk. Demetrius leaned back into his chair as his arms came to a fold over his chest. "This jest papej's ward, shame he died so soon. GOD rest vyr soul, Damien." His words were followed with a nod, before he rose from his desk and quietly exited the office.
  5. The Count of Marsana readied the soldiers of Balian, preparing to lay waste upon Stassion. "Dearest Richard. Long ago vyr ancestor, the King of Oren, that spineless bastard executed mine ancestor, Ivan 'The Martyr' var Ruthern. Y swear upon meaself, Y will inevitably repay what's owed."
  6. The Fleet Admiral Ruthern in question lay down his blade, exhausted from the battle, before he made the march back to the Capital of Balian for a well deserved rest. "Y for one, think the Veletzians should surrender, quite an embarassment." He'd state, wiping the blood of around five or so veletzers from his sword.
  7. The Constable of Balian peered upon the missive with quite the amount of confusion, whether it be in Lucian's challenge against a templar, or what Ezren could have possibly done only a saints week into his reign as Prince-Consort. Demetrius simply dismissed the letter with no care for it, though he still wished to watch the spectacle unfold in due time.
  8. The Count of Marsana peered upon the missive, his head bowing before he forced himself from his desk. "Graza teu, Lord DeNurem, I will not falter in your footsteps. You were a good man, and an even better leader." His hand extended for his blade, fitting it nicely at his hip. "I will do my absolute in seeing to the success of what you have left me, that I assure." The Fleet Admiral stated, making his way to the address hall.
  9. The Count of Marsana peered down upon the document, Demetrius, drained from all that had unfolded, he found himself unable to weep and too little time for mourning with the current state of the war. A bottle was raised quickly, and discarded from his grasp just as fast, allowing it to shatter upon the wall. "GOD Rest vyr soul, Mea Countess.. Nie, mea wife." He'd state, rising from his desk, departing from it quietly. "I've lost mea daughter, mea King, e now mea wife. What more shall Y lose during this dreadful war?"
  10. The Count glanced to the missive. “GOD rest his soul, mea king. Y can only hope that Sibyl does as well as vy have.”
  11. Demetrius chuckled at the missive. “Jest he the Grench of Tuvmas.” He dismissed it to an open flame before continuing on his way.
  12. The Count of Marsana sharpened his blade. “Y hope Richard ‘The Sheepish’ will step foot upon our lands, let it be known mea blade will pierce his flesh.”
  13. THE HAMMERHEADS PROMISE "By Bones and Barrows.” Per Ossa et in Barcis Issued by the County of Marsana 6th of Sun’s Smile, 88 B.A. __________________________ Penned by Ser Demetrius var Ruthern, Count of Marsana This saint's day, an attack against mea daughter, Viktoria Carosa vas Ruthern, occurred within the dockyard of Portoregne. Let it be known, the Royal Balianese Codex prohibits assault or injury upon a member of nobility. An announcement for all of the realm to bear witness, vy will have nie trial, Vukosav. Yam going to deliver a punishment far worse than any court may in the realm of Aevos, wherever vy lurk in the shadows of Celia’nor jest niet safe. We are coming for you. __________________________
  14. The Count of Marsana glanced at the missive. "How does one fall so far that he has to make his own missive for his capture?"
  15. The Knight sharpened his blade, not hoping for it to lay upon elven flesh during the next disaster upon Veletzian soil.
  16. The Count of Marsana held his blade high after the decisive victory in Breakwater. "The ******* fairies never stood a chance against the Covenant of..." He counted on his hands. "Eight!"
  17. Demetrius clasped his hands together. "Dobry, Death to the Veletzians!"
  18. A count smiles upon the missive with pleasure. "Dobry, now all that jest left jest for eam to claim the head of that Stassionite, Richard." Upon uttering the mans name, he spat. "Can niet have such a foul name remaining in mea mouth."
  19. A Count signed the lorraine, before kneeling to pray. "May vy rest peacefully within the Seven Skies, vy were as dobry a woman and an even better mamej to Johan and the others." The mans stomach turned upside down, excusing himself from the church as it had. "For if Y had niet conscripted vy, vy would still live to this day."
  20. The Count had been torn between either being seen as a coward by the Kingdom or to be hated by his twin sister, Charlotte. The pressure to maintain his image clashed with concern for his twin. "Yam szame, papej, Y have torn the family vy strived to build." Being able to do nothing, he simply retired to his quarters, regret stirring within.
  21. The 'Coward' in question stared in disbelief on the matter. "Y recall being eight and her twelve, not to mention it was an arm wrestle vy daft privileged weasel. Check vyr information before vy spout horseshit."
  22. “By Bones and Barrows.” Per Ossa et in Barcis Issued by the County of Marsana The 5th of the Grand Harvest I. The Disownment It is a saddening day when we see a kinfolk of our esteemed House falter in her path, when we see her bring shame upon our ancestors and those who came before. Charlotte Valentina vas Ruthern has been found guilty of disturbing the peace of our family, treacherous actions against the rightful Ser Demetrius var Ruthern by birth right, Ser Demetrius var Ruthern through her actions against the Kingdom of Balian. For these actions against our house we declare her DISOWNED. She and all of her children shall be barred from the name of Ruthern, their connection to our dutiful house and history denied. They shall carry the name of Barrow, their crimes against our house never to be forgotten. 23. A Count furrowed his brow as he briefly glanced over the missive. "Vy only excommunicate the ferrymen but niet the League of Veletz whom were amongst rank when they raided the Haense Capital?" He shook his head from side to side, dismissing the parchment to a desk not far away before rising and going to exit his quarters.
  24. -1 Almost every encounter with an ST node I’ve had ended with pvp by some bandit group who wished to hoard the ST minerals for lackluster roleplay. Until a proper fix around can be made, this system should not return within the foreseeable future.
  25. A count smiles as he signs the pact, before being haunted by a single word, uttered often by John Augustus Galbraith.... .....Pookie..
