  4. To understand what Order and Guardianship mean to someone, you must first understand them as a person. No life, mortal or otherwise, is lived in the exact same way. People may find similarities that draw them toward each other, but it is ultimately our personal experiences and individual achievements that mold us as a person and influence our perspective on the world. With that in mind, here is my story. I spent the majority of my first half-century within the Forest Realm of Irrinor. It was an honor to call myself not only the Chieftain of the Tresery Seed, but after a while I was given the honor of ascending to the position of el’Annilir within the Forest Realms military. I defended those who were unable to, alongside many valiant kin of mine, from the treacherous grasps of my ‘Thill cousins and their Valah overlords for many years. After the war was finished Irrinor enjoyed many years of peace and prosperity thanks to the valiant efforts of those willing to bleed and to die for their friends, family and city. After a time High Prince Lyemar Aureon found himself unable to lead any longer. Without a stalwart leader to guide the Irrinites through troubling times, the city eventually fell and became one with nature again. From there I found myself lost for many moons, little more than a wanderer with no ambition, not finding myself fitting in amongst my kin in their new home. Hope can often come from the most unexpected places, and it was Farrador that gave me hope again, an outlet for my passion. An order devoted to the protection of the realm and the extermination of the twisted and corrupt. Yet my stay here was relatively short, the Order becoming more swept up in petty drama of the flesh than their duty to the descendant races. Yet one good thing, of sorts, did come from my time here: my introduction to the then Paladin Lefkos. While many unsavory things about him have come to light, he was the first to guide me down the path that I have now devoted my life to walking. However when Lefkos was disconnected and I no longer spent my time in Farrador, I found myself lost yet again. I wandered for many years, enjoying my time spent by myself. Yet I did not find solace in this loneliness for long, as our realm was beset by horde after horde of Inferi. So I did the only thing I could do: fight. Fight for those who would not fight for themselves. Fight for the glory of the mortal races, so that they would once more see the sun rise on an age of peace. Yet it was not the glory that I hoped for that awaited me, only suffering and pain. Casualties of all types were sustained, many avoidable and some of my own negligence. Becclain and Dresden, two names that will forever carry more weight than they should. For their fate will always rest upon my conscience. Order and Guardianship are not something that one can become a savant overnight in. They are not something that you can wake up one day and expect to come naturally. They are things that require a lifetime, in my case quite literally a Valah lifetime, of devotion and exemplary personification in order to master them and to act in their interests with every waking moment of the day. They must become the very motto that you live your life by, or else they are a meaningless facade used to garner attention and false praise. Order is to not only believe in what is just in the eyes of Xan, but to act in his will and see actual change made in the world. But most importantly it is to do so with integrity, both when easy and when faced with difficulty. On the other hand, Guardianship is a far more simple concept in theory, yet equally if not more difficult to carry out. Guardianship is to defend all who are incapable against the darkness in the world. Be it Azdrazi, Inferi or Void Slinger wishing to cause harm, one who possesses the trait of Guardianship must be ready to fight and protect those who need it at a moment's notice. "I do not love the sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only what they defend.” Penned 14th Deeps Cold, Year 35 of the Second Age Kalius Tresery

  6. based and objective take. Though I dont necessarily want to see map-wide free build again there should be a substantial wildlands area for players to use so that they can avoid WT chokeholds on land.
  7. I don’t remember giving you permission to mention me.
  8. 40k is for betas, fantasy is for chads. TW:Warhammer 1+2 are genuinely so fun and incredible inspiration. Bit pricey to get all the damn expansions and **** but no game puts me in a world building mood like it does.
  9. Let me just preemptively say, keep the discussion civil and feedback on topic. First and only warning.

  11. thank you, god damn how hard was that? @Luminaire you’re pathetic
  12. Don’t pull punches. You can do better.
  13. I really hope you don’t expect me to read whatever word vomit just came out of your peanut sized brain and found its way to this post.
  14. 2. I disagree with that frankly. If anything that mindset just furthers the apparent divide between nations and crazy grinders and everyone else. If nations are the only ones running around with full kits and with access to consistent nodes that actively prevents the average player who may want to get involved from being able to get involved. 4. yeah I think people have. But we went from “yes this will only be a basic profession plug-in” to “btw whole new pvp system and we’re gonna cripple building and lock things behind confusing UIs and unique ways of gating content.”
  15. Day 2 of asking for “mundane” or basic Minecraft building materials like woods and stone to be made into some sort of resource pit or similar system so that I can worry about something other than figuring out the best node path to ensure the most efficient harvesting of 50 logs every 2 hours.

You can get more than 50 logs in 2 hours but it's a pain in the arse. Being a builder sucks in this map so far.

I can agree it does suck at its current state. But dont expect a volunteer position to give up their lives to come onto LotC and cater to your every need. The elitism and entitlement of people on this server is insane just by looking at the OOC chat in game. Of course its not great at the moment. Its only the 3rd day of the map. But quit complaining about it and lets find some solutions. Everyone keeps saying "I cant RP till my X Y and Z are built." Why? What is stopping you as a player from going to a new nation or city and interacting with the server like everyone else does and asking for some help gathering resources? I'd gladly help for free if someone came up to me IRP and asked for it. Yet no one wants to search for a solution. Only complain.

There have been multiple feedback posts detailing what makes this all so frustrating since Friday, and theres even one still on the main page that Aidoro posted. The criticism is there, and so are the suggestions to improve, but it's nice to see the dev team has listened to the complaints with their most recent post

@NotEvilAtAll i dont know how you maintain top ******* banter with each post

wxrld team might consider it, given its a popular idea of the public. I think its ******* annoying to spend time getting 50 stone by clicking my mouse about 150 times before leaving an area. Not to mention with tool durability being ******* awful.

Even though stone is "Commodity", it already is selling in stacks for 1-3 mina. It's not and likely won't be, it's just a pain in the ass to get. Hopefully ec*nomy team will come to conclusion with this.

Yes, let me get my mundane materials so I can renovate my tavern without it taking multiple days just to get enough dark oak to make room alterations and ****.

      This is legit painful.

  18. Eh. This seems to me like it just further alienates new players and smaller groups, strong-arming them to join nations or face an uphill battle far too steep to climb. I understand the desire to want to reduce random charters and lairs that could be under nations, but I don’t think the blind “stick it to charters” attitude need apply to Mina and basic economic functions. Even if we assume that people will be able to make decent Mina with a little work, the arbitrary cap just winds up blindly benefitting nations and people with alts and VIP persona slots. Nobody will put 501 Mina in their bank when they could just send anything over 500 alt personas across multiple accounts. To be a bit dramatic, it seems like putting a bandaid on a stab wound because you don’t have the tools on hand to stitch it up properly. Instead of fine tuning nodex, vortex progression, and other key features (you know, the stuff that the economy will hopefully be largely made up of), it’s just slapping arbitrary numbers on different values to force market standards to your own personal standard.
