No one goes to the Wiki for lore and you'd be pretty dumb to, because the forums serve you it in a way that you know will be up-to-date since that's where the ST actually handle it. The nature of subforums lends itself to better organisation than the Wiki could do it too. Would be an absolutely gigantic waste of time and energy tbh. Lorewise the Wiki should just have basic information needed to apply for the server + historical stuff IMO. Keeping up-to-date with all the magic and CA stuff would be shovelling snow in a blizzard for little reward.

It's important to avoid Theme Park World though. A common trend in LOTC maps is to have flat grassy plains as the default, and then they go through a shopping list of biomes, adding them to different corners of the map. It makes all the untouched (or barely touched) parts of the map extremely dull, while the few biomes there are are then exaggerated. Every mountain has to be unscalable, every forest has to have gigantic trees that block out the sun entirely, etc. The map leak was pretty worrying because it looked like every mountain was part of a gigantic range designed to separate nations from each other (why???), all the interesting biomes were shoved to the corners of the map, the snowy part was a clear wasteland, etc. A greater number of less drastic biomes and terrain features would be in order IMO.

Been hearing this idea a lot lately and I think it'd be based. My one issue with it is idk if vertically limited worldguard regions are possible. If they are though, that'd be so insanely based. If not, **** it put it in the Nether or something but have the build hide the fact, so it just looks like you're in a crypt somewhere. Anything to stop CT tumours clawing their way through the map.

I don't think people talk about how annoying and ugly it is for countries to be divided by CT/Hub regions, or to get spammed by ((NO VILLAINY HERE PUH-LEASE)) messages constantly. Arcas may not have had hubs but it more than made up for it by making the CT comprise half the map. Can we just stop having cancerous CTs? Like in the literal sense, in that it serves as some overgrown ******* tumour on the map.
