Frankly, both sides are acting like they're 12 years old. So, I request they OOC age themselves up one year to be old enough to play on this server.

This trend of making posts on how to make LotC better but never involving itself into any staff team to see the other side or make changes is quite tiring. Always the same people rambling, get over yourself redditors.

Shit man, one of my most formative RP experiences on this server was watching the Imperial Wardens (Which I was one of em) get butchered by Maric's Rebellion like 7-8 years ago (time flies).
Can't keep coddling newer players. Successful leaders are forged from beneficial and bad RP. Let them get steamrolled by another entity so that they callous up and branch out on their own. Don't ban people who are epicenters for conflict RP.-

If you manage to piss an entire nation off as a small start-up, that's on you. If you were a large nation (*cough* Haelun'or *cough*) and are now degraded to the point that you can't even fend off small raids, you deserve to get steamrolled.
Players will do what they want no matter how many times they get destroyed. It's how progress is made. Stuff that doesn't work is annihilated by groups that work and therefore, that player learns from that experience. They will take maybe a 1-2 month break to cool off their emotions and come back with a fresh mindset.
Places like Balian, Sutica, Haense, Adria, etc. all got their start from the remnants of other destroyed groups. Oren has been destroyed more times than you can count on your hands, but those players who were in those dissolved groups will always come back and figure out a way to do it better. If not a main nation, then an upstart group.
Tl;dr: Being destroyed makes you better at not being destroyed later.

This entire OOC Anti-Oren obsession that has existed since Alty became Emperor in late 2019 is turning this server in a completely toxic place. How many times any of you have witnessed Anti-Oren messages in OOC channels within the server? Because it has been constant during all this time. What has the Admin Team done to address this issue? Nothing, and now we see the consequences of this negligence: more toxicity and more OOC, which is a very bad impression for a new player (see JoshBright's post).
Also, and I hope that what happened recently made us all learn this, which is that I think that it has been completely proven that forcing your character to act in a certain manner for the mere fact that it benefits you more oocly (e.g.: to assume the leadership of a nation) is something that is completely bad for the community as it just generates more OOC and toxicity.

@OrlanthThen I guess you've missed the mark entirely. Not in the mood to go over a whole forum argument over this (always free to DM me), but I'll say my piece.
Wars are IRP. Whatever OOC opinion you have of people is valid, but to immediately say everyone in a nation is bad purely by proximity to another is disingenuous and becomes living proof why toxicity is still a prevalent issue. Simple fact of the matter is to look at these guys not purely by their IRP affiliation, but as a person in their own right.
