That is why it is important for an upcoming bachelor, and those that have already matured, to reflect upon his moments of idle time. Upon maturation, a man's interests change from that of fruitless trivialities to those of true fulfillment. One of these interests is the essential labor of fishing. Fishing has found itself a central part of both society and its participants. That is why, for the men of great pedigree, we should find ourselves indulging in the illustrious practice of taming the creatures of the sea as we do with those who walk upon the land. Participants will compete for the greatest catch in both quality and quantity. This will be conducted during a shortly timed collection period where participants will either ride on a boat or stand upon the banks of our fair city. We will meet at the docks to provide rods and twine for each member. After points are allocated we will enjoy a feast from our bountiful harvest. To assist our righteous government we will also be selling commemorative pins. The funds collected from these sales will contribute to the Kingdom's coffers. Point System Auunic Cod | 1 Point Oceanic Salmon | 1 Point Tropical Cichlid | 2 Points Oceanic Pufferfish | 3 Points Junk Items | 1 to 2 Points, final decision made during the event ‘Treasure’ | 1 to 3 Points, final decision made during the event. 6. HOUSE AERAMOR Of Aeltarys [!] Missives could be found all over Aevos INTRODUCTION Lentor Rȳ Jelmāzma : Family Through Storms -=[]=- CURRENT PATRIARCH: Saelyx Se Nēdenka Aeramor “The Bold” -=[]=- CURRENT HEIR: Laerron Se Dāez Aeramor “The Free” Descending from The Tyvaros Region, this family of Aeltarosi are tougher than diamonds and have the wit to outsmart anyone around them. They live to enjoy themselves and prioritize their family above all else. While not all of them fit this description, this is the foundation the family was built on. Their House colors are golds, blues, and whites. A rich and regal color palette fit for such a family of high values. They can usually be seen donning gold accents with pale green eyes to match. To finish it off they have their hair tied back into braids and dreadlocks to fight the heat of The Tyveros Region. But even with their rather goofy and carefree nature, this family holds loyalty down to the bone. THE TYVAROS REGION The Serpent’s Region The Tyvaros Region is located atop a mountain rainforest. A Cloud Forest. Fog clouds most of the terrain making it hard to traverse for anyone but the natives. This gives them the upper edge of protection against enemies. Many pools of water sit at the bottom of these mountainous regions, waterfalls a common sight. The main city of this region consisted of a giant tree with a river and waterfall flowing through the roots. The people lived around the river, farming and cultivating livestock. While some lived on the ground, others preferred to make their homes within the large branches of the tree; the rulers of the region at the very top. TYVAROS MYTHS It is said that long ago when the Aeltarosi were first settling into this region that creatures known as Amphitheres roamed free. The Aeltarosi tamed these beasts, training and honing in their skills to better suit the growing population. Amphitheres are winged serpents, scaly beasts with beautiful vibrant feathered wings. The Amphithere is a sacred creature, once often used in ceremonies with their feathers or the snakes the Aeltarosi kept. Due to it being a serpent, anything relating to snakes or birds was considered something to be cherished. And while the large beasts are no longer around, their stories ring clear in those still carrying on its legacy. APPEARANCE The people of The Tyvaros Region definitely stand out among their fellow Aeltarosi of other Regions. With dark warm complexions and more blondish white hair rather than pure white, these Aeltarosi stand tall and proud averaging 5’7 for women and 6’4 for men. Of course, there are cases outside of this range with some getting up to 6’7 and all the way down to 4’5. The Tyvaros Region prides itself on its longer hair, common hairstyles include braids and dreads to combat the high humidity of Cloud Forests. As you grow older, it is normal for one to attach beads to their hair as a sign of maturity and growth; Tattoos being another common sight. The people would use different dyes and pigments to give themselves tattoos for each major accomplishment. First hunt, first duel, marriage, and whatnot. Gold was also a common sight, the people using it in just about everything. The mountains were bursting with the mineral, jewelry and accents almost entirely made out of gold. Feathers fallen from the Amphitheres were often imitated using feathers from birds all around. Dying and coloring them into the vibrant hues that once roamed the lands. They tied these in their hair, on their clothes. Weaved into jewelry and used in ceremonies. FAMILY VALUES The Aeramor Family knows hard work pays off. But they also know not to waste energy where it isn’t needed. Spending more time on something when there could be an easier and better way to do it is one of the big goals of an Aeramor. Not cutting corners, but working smarter. Outsmarting their opponent, their peers, their family. Cleverness and witty attributes are seen in almost every Aeramor, they are much more relaxed than other families. They live to enjoy it for their own, not to please others at the expense of themselves. THE COMING OF AGE CEREMONY When an Aeramor Aeltarosi reaches the age of eighteen they are then ready for their final test. This test is what promotes them from child to adult meaning they can now participate in conversations involving family matters. The test is a sacred one, passed down generation to generation by each Head of every generation. The Challenge As one reaches their eighteenth birthday that is when they begin to think about what kind of challenge they’d like to do. These challenges can range from competition in hobbies, a game of sorts, or even a duel. The goal of the challenge is to outsmart the current Head of House, not overpower or simply win by force. One must be witty, clever, sly as those are the values of the House. Victory or Defeat If one wins the challenge, they proceed onto the Ceremony. The ceremony consists of an event of their choosing. This ceremony ends with the Aeramor gaining a middle name. This middle name describes the person as they enter adulthood, from adjectives like bold, kind, harsh, and even miserable. This is a sacred gift passed onto the person by the Family Head and if it is done in poor favor the adults may overrule this decision. During this, the adults of the household welcome the once child into the ranks and the children of the family say goodbye until they also reach their own ceremony. If one is to lose, they remain a ‘child’ and may retry again the next year. Even so, failure is not frowned upon within the family. It just proves you still have a bit more growing to do before you are ready to join the ranks. COMBAT The Jungle is home to many ferocious and dangerous creatures within the dense foliage that creates their homeland. Due to this, the Tyvaros Aeltarosi focuses on operating with quick throws, sweeps, and joint locks to control an opponent. Their chosen weapons being the panabas, talibong, kris, or kampilan to focus heavy cleaving or cuts as if chopping limbs away like the jungle’s dense brush. Some family members also choose to create a modified version of the panabas or talibong, creating it into a polearm. Along with the melee tactics, the Tyvaros Aeltarosi also use heavy draw-weight bows with tips designed to pierce small gaps with deadly accuracy. Signed, His Grace, Saelyx Se Nēdenka Aeramor, Lord Steward of Aeltarys, Patriarch of House Aeramor His Lordship, Laerron Se Dāez Aeramor, Heir to House Aeramor Her Ladyship, Miriam Aeramor His Lordship, Daemion Aeramor Her Ladyship, Poppea Aeramor
  7. … .. . [!] A few Saint’s Days ago, a brave group of young men and women descended into the Weaver’s Den within the Swamp. The Valiant Seekers: Wyn ‘The White Light’ Julietta ‘The Sharp Shooter’ Zelphar ‘The Erratic’ Leonardo ‘The Pack Mule & Bomber’ Raven ‘The Inflaming’ Rumil ‘The Unrelenting’ Uhier ‘The Golden Throw’ Giraudus ‘The Explorer’ Saxton ‘The Gaunt’ Handil ‘The Watcher’ A’lia ‘The Hound’ Azra ‘The Invincible’ The Weaver’s Den is a cave system shrouded in darkness consumed by Piranha Wasps. These wasps live in the upper regions of the cave hive, eating and tearing through everything that enters. The Valiant Seekers came across many dead bodies that fell victim to these wasps in their venture. Further down lay the Karkossa, acid spitting spiders the size of humans, poking out of holes in the walls. Taunting the Valiant Seekers. They appeared in numbers, usually three or more. Then, at the very center, lay the Queen. FIRST EXPEDITION Wyn, Julietta, Zelphar, Handil, Raven, and Azra enter the Weaver’s Den, the party not knowing what to expect. Lucky for them, Wyn brought torches. This kept the Piranha Wasps at bay, the only thing keeping the group alive. They transcended the tunnels, no map in sight. When approaching a dead end, the Valiant Seekers found themselves cornering the Piranha Wasps. Light keeps them at bay, but they quickly found out that if the bugs felt like they had to, they would charge. And that they did, passing through the group giving everyone scratches and nicks. The medic during the expedition, Julietta passed out a Tippens Root salve to everyone and they moved on. Down the winding tunnels, they found themselves at many fault lines. Passing over them with relative ease until Zelphar threw a rock at one. The whole fault line crumbled, the sound of shifting rock all around them. They moved on, Julietta throwing a blast potion on another one which opened up into a massive cavern. Wyn and Azra approached the hole, before it collapsed beneath them! The group rushed in aside from Handil and Julietta where they found themselves face to face with the Karkossa. Eventually, everyone makes it down there and after Wyn, the Tank, kills them all they ascend to the surface once more. They needed to prepare. SECOND AND FINAL EXPEDITION We return to the Weavers Den. Now a party of 10 and much more prepared than last time. The Valiant Seekers knew what to expect and what to bring. Weapons and potions, as many lanterns as one could possibly carry. Back inside the winding tunnels they found themselves with Piranha Wasps on both sides. They had to make a decision, into the tiny tunnel or be eaten alive. As they all rushed to the tunnel, for obvious reasons, the Piranha Wasps left them alone. Finding themselves in a new place within the hive, they continued on. This was the Spiders Territory. One Fault Line after another, eventually they ended up breaking one. In doing so, the noise alerted the Karkossa and they began to attack the rear of the group in a giant wave. Those at the front of the cave were helpless in the matter and after doing a Perception check, Leonardo heard something. A scream. He transcended down into the cavern, Julietta quickly following with a now loaded crossbow. The fighting continued up above, the duo now in a new tunnel and making their way through it. A cry for help was heard, before nothing. It was silent, too silent. Julietta advised they wait for the others and headed back to the entrance, Leonardo quickly following. The group rushed down the new tunnel, their eyes watching every crevice within the walls. A cocoon. A silk cocoon. Wyn cut it open, the dead body of a man falling out. He collected the man's belongings, hoping to give him a proper burial once they made it out. Even so, they continued on. Reaching a thick tunnel of webs, Raven lit the thing ablaze, burning their way through the pathway. THE BOSS BATTLE The tunnel opened into a massive cavern, eggs and webs covering the walls. Everything was still so quiet, the party on high alert. Those same silk cocoons hung from the ceilings, the victims' cries never having been heard. Then, she appeared. The Queen. She shot that same acid onto Raven, burning him beyond belief. Julietta immediately shot her crossbow, landing a solid hit on the thing. A blast potion was thrown and missed, scaring the Queen further into the room. Uhier threw another blast potion, hitting the Queen dead on. She fell, scurrying off to the far side of the cave room. Wyn and Rumil followed, Julietta passing Leonardo an acid neutralizer to help with Raven’s burns. Zelphar, Saxton, and Handil took care of the minions that began flooding into the space. Julietta loaded up a flaming bolt within her crossbow, waiting for the perfect shot. Wyn slid under the Queen’s underbelly, stabbing it with his greatsword. One thing led to another and his leg was punctured by the Queen’s. Rumil slashed at the legs of the Queen, cutting one off before getting thrown by another. There! The perfect shot. Julietta warned everyone before letting the bolt loose, hitting the Queen dead in the head! Her whole head lit ablaze in mere moments, Wyn using this time to slice her head clean off. He succeeded, but in doing so the Queen retaliated. She lifted a leg, going to drive it directly into the man in a killing blow. While her head was no longer, that leg still had to come crashing back down. But to Wyn’s luck, Uhier sliced it clean off, saving his life. The group cheered. Wyn and Julietta get the finishing blows with Uhier saving Wyn’s life. On the other side of the cavern were the three men, Saxton, Zelphar, and Handil taking care of the minions in perfect succession. THE AFTERMATH With the Queen dead, the Valiant Seekers cheered. A’lia and Julietta rushed to Wyn’s aid, A’lia magically healing him with her wolves following. They surveyed the area before taking whatever they could get from the Queen’s body. Then they felt it. A rumble. Something had awoken. Something much bigger. The Evils of the Swamp were not defeated yet, the party had another mission after this. This was not the last the Swamp would see of them. Until next time. THE WEAVER’S DEN WAS DEFEATED, THE VALIANT SEEKERS VICTORIOUS. FIRST ONES IN, LAST ONES OUT. To celebrate the victory, Julietta is hosting a tavern night in Whitespire, Aaun, on Wednesday, June 21st at 9pm EST. Be there to hear the terrifying tale of all they have to share. OOC

  13. Julietta sat next to Adeline and the Queen, sad her own best friends didn't invite her to their wedding..
  14. Julietta collapsed into the chair, happy her hard work is now public for everyone to see.
  15. Princess Julietta begins production of different alcohols, whiskeys, wines, and beers. She felt comfortable behind the bar of the tavern before a knife went skidding past the top of her head, nailing a flyer to the wall behind her. Now.. she isn't so sure..
  16. Princess Julietta reads the paper posted by her friends, a wide grin on her face. She had been invited to come during the Beach Episode and she wouldn't miss it for the world! Perhaps she should bring some others along.. @Rosey @ratlordmagic

  18. Saelyx Aeramor's feet hit the ground of Failor, following his Prince to their new home. Upon his arrival, the man felt optimistic. A fresh start. Once he arrived at the camp, he began to work on a tent for himself and Laerron @WaveLincoln, his brother, and the rest of his family that had yet to arrive. He was also called a Miss by a local and he is very not happy about it.
  19. Amity sat upon the surface of Failor, the piece of paper beside her. Her mother grew distant when her father died, the girl leaving her home and moving to Hyspia at the mere age of twelve. There she found a new family, with her husband and children. Though her lack of parental figures growing up rings clear in her ears. Here, in the new world, she heard the news of her mothers passing. A great sorrow befalling her. "Vy never even got to meet them.. say hola to Esper for mae.. to Cesar.. to papej and Wilhelm.. all I have left is Laurelie." And with that, the woman burst into tears. All of the loss she has faced in her fourty years of life all crashing down on top of her. She missed both of her fathers, her brothers and sisters, Wilhelm dying the day after she confessed to her now husband, her first daughter at the young age of ten. And now her own mother. All this loss.. it makes her ask a simple question. "How much more of this can I take?"
  20. Office of the Magister The First Ward Task of Lady Charlotte Valentina vas Ruthern [!] The task was to explain each role within the Magisterium and which ones Charlotte liked best. The Magisterium The Magisterium is the section of the Balian Government that enforces all the laws. It is their job to investigate the crimes, give a fair trial to the suspects, and then the Judge gives their ruling. This is how Balian keeps the city in order. Roles of the Magisterium The Magister The head of the Magisterium, this role works directly under the Amiratus and the Crown. The Magister is the Head Prosecutor and Judge of the Courts, everyone below reports directly to this position. The Kritai (Judges) The Kritai oversee the trials and hearings, their rulings set the precedent for future similar trials and hearings. The Lawyers Lawyers argue on behalf of the prosecution or defense in criminal cases. In terms of a civil case, the Plaintiff and Defense. The Quaestors (Detectives) The role of the Quaestors is to investigate the crimes taking place, gathering any and all evidence to be used within the Court. The Court Scribes The Court Scribes play a vital part in the Court System, writing down what goes on in a case along with any paperwork that needs to be filled out. CONCLUSION I think the most interesting and fun role would be the Quaestors or the Kritai. I want to help punish the bad people who do the bad things because they cannot get away with it. The laws are put in place to keep everyone safe, if anyone threatens that safety they need to pay the fair price of their crime dictated by the Court rulings. Signed, Her Ladyship, Charlotte Valentina vas Ruthern, Ward to the Balian Magistrate [!] This was written by a 10 year old.
