He tried to get Orcs to stop raiding, they killed him on sight without a word. Back in Kalos, he tried to speak with the WR about not killing the Adunians anymore, he was killed before he said 'Hello'. I wrote letter threads, which got trolled to pieces. 'lol no', that sort of thing.Allies? What allies, for someone who ran a community once as an Adunian, no one wished to deal with us - we were entirely vulnerable, no one could come to help us, and we couldn't aptly defend ourselves. We took a huge hit to our playerbase. -No place will accept us -No one will ally with us -We don't have the numbers or skills to defend -Tried to pay them off, was killed before saying 'Hello' -Tried to convince them via forums, got trolled into oblivion. -Don't have enough resources to pay tributes -Don't have enough players to counter-raid Okay, see the problem? If that was your scenario, how would you deal with it IN ROLEPLAY. Get other nations to help you. If that doesn't work, deal with it or move your village. ski_king3 0 Share Posted February 24, 2014 I hate to lay it out like it is, but.. Someone like me will never, ever ever ever get along well and RP well with someone like a Flay, it just doesn't work. Hardcore RPers are bitter because their RP is disrupted, PVPers are bitter because they don't have any easy victims. Getting raided and PVP'd frequently is not the answer to mending the rift between RPers and PVPers. This isn't a hardcore RP server. There are other servers out there that are hardcore RP servers. If you don't like what this server is, rather than trying to change the identity of the server significantly, go RP on a server that you're more interested in being a part of. "if you stopped complaining about why PVP is bad and realized how it is a necessary evil then maybe you would understand their point of view.' I know it's needed. Just not 24/7, like it seemingly is for certain groups. "Have you ever simply stopped during a raid and said in IC or OOC: "Hey don't kill me I'll give you my stuff considering you outnumber us 9 to 1" Of course I have. Just when that happens every single day for a month, I get tired of it happening, and extremely bitter at the people. Well you see, several groups have had this problem in the past, my own gypsies got raided by the dwarves and instead of taking the mature way about it back in Elysium, I complained just like you do. I got disheartened and stopped caring about my group and left the idea to rot. However it was the beginning of Anthos when I talked to those players again to discover they don't actually hate the group, they did what they did because it is what their characters would do. The reason the Adunians have it so hard IC is because everyone remembers their 5+ rebellions, oath breaking, complaining and general underhandedness ICly. OOCly you aren't doing them much of a favor by sitting here and crying about how everyone is mean to your people ICly. Despite the fact it is an IC circumstance and the more you get angry about it, the more people are going to resort to PVP to be rid of you and carry on with their experience on LoTC. I'm asking for a small town where people can't PVP. If that's such a threat to LOTC's identity and people.. why did RP still win the RP-PVP vote? This isn't that hard mate, you're just throwing silly events at my points to make me sound stupid. Just try all these suggestions you're getting from this feedback thread, and go do them! Crayfishchris 751 Share Posted February 24, 2014 To be completely honest, I think that the problem here is one that can be solved in RP, as Emu has said. If the group cannot survive RPly, then it can't exist as a group. For example, you don't see the Roman Empire still trying to resurface now. It got beaten back and worn down over the centuries. It is a slight OOC advantage, I will say that much. Raiding will become an annoyance, and people will just avoid the town altogether. There is plenty of peaceful RP to be found otherwise, as peaceful characters. Warrior characters will have to PvP at some point (obviously :P), otherwise it doesn't really make sense. Why would we /not/ have a place for what /looks/ like a majourity to go and RP in?
