The days grow longer as the Russian Winter sets in, Russia has endured her for thousands of years though not without loss. This year would be no different, not all citizens are capable of keeping warm or safe in the winter, reports of deaths come in throughout the winter. The 376,000 troops sent to Ethiopia begin their plans. 50,000 are to remain at the Ethiopian line, and begin training the Ethiopian, Commonwealth, and Coalition forces in the art of guerrila warfare.

 

The remaining 316,000 will begin to move forward, and start setting up ambushes within the highlands, along the roads, and on the hillside. These men were the best in the world in guerrila warfare, they would not be a disappointment.

The Lancelot Infantry Mechanized Walker 

 

 

The Lancelot another step forward for the Federations Mechanized Walker technology, a model smaller than REX, but larger than an EMU and able to be mass produced on a larger scale than REX. These manned Mechs will keep the bridge between EMU Support strong between REX and EMU Units. With an array of weaponry these Mechs will fill the gap of numbers and will be the start of the Federations phasing out of Main Battle Tanks as they have become inferior to the Mech designs as previously demonstrated by Tandon Mechs in the war in Africa, EMU Mechs in Iberia and REX in Italy. Being more manouverable than REX, heavier armed and armoured than EMU's it is expected these will become what would be coined as Medium Mechs. With Jet Boosters on its legs to help it dodge attacks and get out of situations quickly being fitted with anti-grav technology. The Australasian Federations Space Agency along with the Federal Navy gets funding to begin a new research project which will entail the creation of Frigates to be made for the Australasian Federal Space Fleet. They will be smaller in size than the Flagships but built for the only purpose of war and heavy fire support. The Highlands proved deadly to the Caliphate and its allies. Each inch they took, each man they killed cost them twenty of their own. However, progress was coming. Brutal guerilla wars ensued on the mountaintops of the border, men of St. George crying out for their God while the men of Allah did the same, each one slaughtering the other in a vicious cycle of zealotry.

On the seas though there was blood. The Red Sea lived up to its name as thousands of African seamen died along its shores, the South African fleet there devastated by the combined naval forces of the Caliphate and India. What remains would be forced to dock along the Somalian coast, awaiting their inevitable destruction in the few deep water ports they possess.

The Caliphate got what it needed in Chad, a victory. Despite the best efforts of the CSA, Commonwealth, and various other coalition forces, they simply could not stop the overwhelming force and zeal possessed by the Caliph’s loyal soldiers.

When the CSA maneuvered to flank them, they found something rather unfortunate. They were too late. The eastern flank had broken and the Caliph’s forces were ready to meet them. Simply due to sheer size, the CSA flank was overwhelmed and crushed. But numbers were not the only factor in their defeat.

The sheer number of heavy armor as well as highly specialized Tandon drones made their attack one of the greatest military follies in recent history. By attacking such an armored force head on, they could only be met with a wall of metal. The CSA soldiers were shredded, a mere 130,000 of the men sent in make it back to bases all the way back into Northwestern Niger.

This devastating blunder left West Africa vulnerable. The shattering of the Chad Defensive Line saw the soft underbelly of the Commonwealth open for exploitation. Thousands of men sprawl in every direction with men marching in whatever direction proves most opportune, many raiding the countryside while they await further orders.

Allah had finally gotten his victory.

The Germans and Americans had made a serious impact in Morocco and well into Algeria. Most of the coastline and into the areas where the Sahara met civilization, American/German control was firmly entrenched. Until the Caliph’s orders for insurgency were given. Then the entire area turned into a hotbed of broken supply lines, IEDs, ambushes, and night raids. These harassments took a serious toll on the occupying forces, and just as soon as they struck they would disappear.

Meanwhile, the Italians were on the march. As insurgency broke out in nearly all occupied land, they marched onward as the Legions of Rome once dead beneath the Eagle. The Legion marched into Tunisia, pushing hard into the coastal African nation. The city of Tunis found itself surrounded with the sea on one side, full of hostile British ships, and the Italian Legion on the other, waiting for their surrender.

Without any significant advances, the Caliphate maintains a strong presence in the Eastern Mediterranea up until the Aegean, where the Greek Navy, lead by Hera, reigns supreme.

South american Federation

The South american federation has been pumping out the new rail gun weaponry vehicles the moment that they were finished and soon begin replacing the old versions of the vehicles on the coast lines while the Fusion Cell Energy rifles are also distributed among the army, almost all of the infantry men now holding ammo clips of fusion cells which they would rarely ever use unless in a long fire fight where they shot continuously at the enemy non stop.  

 

The space asteroid station goes relatively well as things go according to plan, and with the help of the British Imperium they should be finished pretty soon.

 

Military wise, The SAF appeared to be moving troops around constantly but not into Civilian territory as to prevent some out cries at the occupations as they're placed at previously bought out land plots which were heavily fortified, making the coast very difficult to take unless with really good tech and a lot of force as Rail gun tanks are placed up and the Light troop transports move troops around at a fast pace rate.

The British LION II will take some time to research, however the tech is there and it is predicted to take about Four years. ((12 pages))

 

The British nanites for mechanical repairs and radiation healing are predicted to take about 3 years. ((9 pages))

Orion cold fusion engines are expected to take about five years. ((15 pages))

 

The Brightsword Claymore mechs will take quite some time to research. About 17 pages.

Argentinian mining operations go exceptionally well, while their fusion energy should take 14 pages, and Terraforming 15.

A new British space station around Europa is planned to take 20 pages. In the meantime, their massive recruitment drive brings 400.000 men back into their army, both new and trained. Their tank upgrades should take 6 pages.

 

The Pope declares a Holy Crusade against the Islamic Caliphate, worried by their aggressive expansion towards the more Christian Southern Africa. Religious fervor rises in many army units in Africa and morale in general rises, while many young men and women converge to recruitment stations to fight for the Pope, and for their God.

The Sino-American Invasion

The coastal defenses of the Dominion makes the Chinese invasion a poor move on their end. As they make early gains along the coast, the Chinese might anticipate success. However, as they move within 200km of the Californian coast, they are bombarded with Californian railguns, forcing them to move outside of the killzone. 

However, any ships that attempt to engage the Chinese fleet are bombarded en masse, the Chinese fleet showing vast on-sea superiority. Even the hit and run tactics used by the Californian fighters are null, their fighters being downed by Anti-air systems on the Chinese naval assets.

Some of the early raids conducted by the Dominion on Chinese ships are successful, but after two successful assaults on minor Chinese frigates, the first attack on a destroyer fails horribly. Defenses are ready and as soon as the Normandies materialize, they are shot out of the sky by hand-held anti-air systems.

As the Soviets search for more information, they can not turn up much. What they do find points toward the elusive Reclaimer Corporation. The Corporation has one known base of operations left on Earth, the massive cities left for the families of their employees in the Maldives. Shortly behind them a fleet equipped with LIONs shooting plasma volleys at the less technologically advanced fleet of the Indians. In the Island of Socotra 5.000 men are deployed to secure the island. While in the Gulf of Aden a fleet of 1 carrier, 14 destroyers, 69 corvettes and 34 submarines attack. Although outnumbered they’re not outgunned, as their technological advancement gives them an edge. Their submarines go first to make sure none of the Indian submarines get through, they set up a grid of defense, protecting the bowels of the main ships. While the CHURCHILLs defend the skies as the main fleet attacks the Indian ships with a volley of Plasma.

The Order and the now trained Ethiopian forces continue their attack. With the new wave of recruits the number of soldiers approximate around the 467.000’s with still a few reserves at home.

 

They continue their guerrilla tactics, attacking convoys of supplies attempting to starve the caliphate’s troops. They also engage in small groups flanking and hitting the enemy but then retreating after they have done damage. They also never strike at the same hour, it can be midday or one in the morning they never strike at the same hour. They only use their tanks on bigger fights, but when they do they attack with accuracy and zealotry shouting their creeds and giving praise to God.

The city seems unbothered by the current affairs. Filled with corporations that make billions, the world’s best banks and many other rich businesses the Prince is now one of the wealthiest men on earth.

 

The Princely state best engineers and scientists work on “The Martyr Project”, a satellite with tungsten rods that would crash down on earth as deadly as a sniper. Although it can not raise whole cities it can destroy districts, create small tsunamis that can destroy whole fleets and strategically strike ground units erasing battalions. Of course this project is top secret and anyone be it the best scientist or engineers are prohibited to tell anyone, and if they do, they’ll face high punishment.

 

Although the prince still cared about the people, he builds skyscrapers not only for business but for housing and residence as well.With all the money the prince also declares that Education and Healthcare are free, making Porto  one of the most sought after cities.

Confederate States of America

 

The CPNA counter assault failed horribly, their rail-gun tank/tank columns apparently vulnerable. When it became apparent defeat was inevitable, the whole CSA line pulled out. Not really much of a line as it was, a mere one hundred and thirty thousand men made it out alive. Thankfully mobile infantry, they kept just ahead of the jaws of the Caliphate advance. Hoping to lose them in the desert, the CPNA retreat would head through Algeria to Morocco. Calling the other hundred thousand men advancing north, they would all converge to Morocco. With the two hundred and fifty thousand recently arrived reinforcements from the CSA, they would all focus in Morocco with the twho hundred fifty thousand already there.

 

The German request is met with silence. The CSA would not meekly let an Empire set up shop and occupy Tangier. Moroccan people have just started electing members to a democratic senate. Once it became clear they could govern themselves, the CSA pledged to move out of their land. Still offering garrison troops to help keep them safe, the CSA would otherwise let them be. The CSA navy stationed in the Azores and Canary Isles is moved closer to Morocco. They would patrol it's coast and waters, weary for any invading force. The British plea for aid in the Mediterranean is accepted. Most of the Confederate ships steam alongside the Britts to reclaim the Mediterranean. (Five rail-gun heavy frigates, ten frigates, twenty advanced destroyers, three drone control ships).

 

In an effort to meet both nation's goals but yet still keep everyone happy and free, the CSA reaches out to the Germans. Tangier can become a join military zone for the two nations, for the duration of the war. With open borders and trade, they could better send men into Africa together. After the war the CSA pledged to leave Morocco if the Germans did too. The CSA had no intent in keeping African land, and wished to prove that.

 

In the homeland, the massive fist of a navy still sits contently, not bothering to enter a side. The draft is almost complete, and coupled alongside the spike of enlistees, the CSA army would reach five million men. Pressed to keep so many men trained and equipped, industry blooms primarily in north america. Mobile Infantry are given the best of the gear, and the AFV's are highly advanced. They begin intense training, become both a shock vehicle force, and a light infantry.

 

The majority of the army not otherwise dedicated is kept in North America, Middle America, and Brazil. They sit and wait, just like the entire nation seemed to be doing.

 

Shock erupts amongst TRAC and CAN at the latest Confederate presidential speech;

 

"TRAC is a grand economic alliance, one I hope the CSA can still trade with. However, you are all weak. The world erupts around us and you try to close your eyes to it. Australia, you greedily grab Alaska and don't even bother to help your allies in TWO wars now. The Dominion is under assault, and yet you do not act. Your African brothers are dying, yet you stay your hand. The Dominion is corrupt and a dictatorship, they sit in their lands and plot. The Commonwealth is dead and dying, the CSA being the only true TRAC member to help. So this is why the CSA is now officially leaving TRAC. As for CAN, it was a great Confederate idea that was poisoned with the USAC. They are officially kicked out of CAN. The South American Federation is however still hoped to be a fast friend of the CSA. We will always stay together in CAN, and keep each other safe. Thank you all, and good bye."

 

President Julio Fernandez was entering his lats few months of the presidency. Elections would be hotly contested this year, with the globe going crazy. The two prime candidates are Elias Wintersun, the past president Elijah's son. He also carried the same views, isolationism and a strong state backing. Black Wolf to the White Sheep was Rafael Alman. A Texan and ex CPNA special forces member who served in the various South/Middle American wars, he was as tough as nails. He did not see America as a united land, he saw it as a pack of squabbling brothers in desperate need of a spanking. He was not isolationist at all, following the growing trend of global involvement the CSA people were starting to pick up on. They still wanted to stay to only America, but knew happenings outside needed addressing.

The Fourth Punic War

The way was clear. With the sea secured, the invasion force now had the backup of air and ocean. The navy begins to bombard the city with guns, a message is sent forth to the governor of Tunisia informing him that their immediate surrender is expected. If not, the one million man strong invasion force would descend onto the city and end the siege. Meanwhile the outer towns surrounding the city are secured, met with some strong resistance the Fourth Alpini regiment is able to finally secure a tight ring around the siege camp. The AG-1 Tanks are prepped for fire, while the cannons of the army are loaded and aimed towards the city.

The USAC condemns the 'Outrageous act' by the CSA and retaliates to their 'Damage done to the people of America'.

 

- The C.A.N Dollar is dissolved as the entire gold reserve is claimed by the USAC, banks would empty bank accounts as the government destroys and retracts all industry, administration and research in C.A.N.

 

- Sanctions are placed upon the CSA, closing the USAC airspace and stopping any agricultural and industrial export to the country. American Corporate Conglomerates are pulled out by Underwood's orders, leaving the CSA without American payment and internet services.

 

- 2,000,000 troops are mobilized to the borders as the airforce and navy are readied in case of a CSA invasion. PATRIOT and LION systems are activated as well.
