Californian Dominion

 

 

Pacific front

 

The moment the first satellites blinked out, Dominion command knew something was wrong. The fleets were the first to go on high alert and to regroup closer to the borders. Thankfully for the Dominion, the hardest hit satellites were the civilian ones. Like most nations around the world, their military satellite numbers and locations remained hidden, and finding them among the hundreds of others orbiting earth, along with the debris, would be challenging.

 

While a portion were lost, it was not as high as might have been hoped by Chinese military command. In the end, the price paid by the dominion was a slight delay in coordinating movements, while the various VI’s rerouted and reworked their communications to piggyback other satellites.

 

In the Dominion, many Schwarz Polizei members walk or drive through the streets when the sudden absence of satellite TV and radio is announced. They broadcast news about the war and explain to the population that there satellites are being used by the army to improve their effectiveness. Yes, even as the population lacked entertainment, they helped the army. Simply by not watching TV they led their nation to victory! Or so claimed the propaganda.

 

In light of the new aggression, 400.000 people are pulled from their everyday jobs, as many as possible taken from non-essential and entertainment orientated jobs. All of them are below the age of 30 and most have gone through the Arnoldian Youth and served for one year in the military. Thanks to previous training and high production rates many can be very quickly equipped and after a one month training program are sent to the US/CSA/Dominion border to replace the more veteran guards, who shift to the coast to join the remaining 1.2 million men now gathering on the coast.

 

These men would be joined by 500 Tali fighters and 700 A-15 Warpig’s (Up to date A-10) and F-22X’s as well as 400 REX’s, 100 of them of the ATHENA/REX variant as well as 500 EMU’s, dropships, artillery pieces of other various equipment and logistic.

 

Of the 2000 Dominion tanks, 1000 would guard their eastern border while 1000 others would remain on standby in platoons, ready to be deployed when needed. The coastal defenses, consisting of many Land-based railguns hidden in their own bunkers in unknown locations (for the enemy at least, at the moment) as well as a plethora of AA, artillery, mines, barbed wire, anti-tank cannons, REX emplacements, solid walls in the sea to halt landing craft, gun nests, 30mm railgun cannon nests and all other necessities to make landing on the beaches hell. After all, the Dominion had been fortifying their beaches for decades and had perhaps managed to turn them into one of the most well defended coasts in the globe.

 

 

But all this was but a prelude to the strike that happened at sea. Even before the surprise attacks on the two outdated cruisers, the extensive radar system utilized by the Dominion fleets detected the massive movement of troops towards their waters and very quickly, the generals realized that they would not be able to face such massive amounts of enemies in a full on battle. So they turned their fleets around and steamed straight for the coast.

 

From the coastline and from the carriers, the Dominion Tali’s and other fighters would fly over them and protect them until they made it back to friendly waters. Should enemy fighters show themselves, they would be first engaged by Tali’s and then conventional aircraft.

 

Some of the high-atmosphere bombers are detected both by satellites and radar and the spanking-new Anti-grav Tali’s are sent to meet them. Using their new engines they are capable of shooting up to extreme altitudes in very short periods of time and once in range they would aim to take down the enemy bombers with missiles, then railguns. If these bombers proved to be too much of a threat, or covered by too many fighters they would pull back. ((Didn’t say there were any fighters, so I’m assuming they weren’t escorted.))

 

Once done, the Tali’s would dive back to aid in escorting to the fleets back home.

 

The fleets would stop 100km’s from the coast, leaving 100km in front of them where the coastal defences could still hit. The ship-based railguns themselves would engage any enemies that come within 75km of them, and every fleet would position itself where at least two of the massive land-based railguns overlapped. If possible, even three. With the capabilities to flatten a small neighbourhood, the hulking railguns could pose a significant threat to any navy entering their range.

 

Fighters would remain on high alert across the whole coast, especially where the fleets were present, while AA positions and the military in general stayed alert everywhere in the Dominion.

 

But the Dominion was not going to stay idle and wait for their enemy to come to them. No, they possessed the means to hit back, and they would. For the fallen brethren in two the sunk vessels as well as the honor of their country.

 

In the dominion, low-heat emitting, silent and fast stealth Normandy’s with anti-gravity engines fill up with Brightsword combat drones as well as groups of Death Korps with jetpacks, some squads even with the retrofitted anti-grav jetpacks. Originally from the SEAL’s, that turned into DART and finally become the Death Korps, they were well trained in everything naval, especially ship boarding.

 

 

Dozens of stealth normandy’s loaded with Death Korps and drones would take off as night arrived and fly as low as was safe over the water, the VI assisting the pilot. Under the radar, stealthed and with very little heat-signature they aim for isolated destroyers or other boats of comparable size such as frigates. These Chinese boats, if hit, would find themselves prey to lightning attack as the stealthed dropships launched their men just off the bridge in the darkest of night.

 

Using the element of surprise, the Death Korps, assisted by combat drones would try to sweep through the ship. Of course, they would not hit troop transports or any vessels which might have significant amounts of trained military personnel on them. They would prioritize stealth and try to plant explosives either on the outside of the ship, or in critical spots that were easy enough to access. Were they not detected, they would then regroup, wait for their dropship to hover above them then power their jetpacks to get in and speed off once more.

 

If they were detected then they would strike with their renowned superhuman skill before trying to plant explosives and evacuate. Under strict orders to leave nothing behind and not be taken alive they would, if trapped, trigger their explosives on them in the hope to damage the ship rather than be taken. After all, they were fanatics.

 

They would try to avoid getting close to enemy aircraft carriers.

 

These stealth strikes would harass most of the smaller Chinese pushes as they tried to weaken and eat away at the enemy military might without taking too many risks.

 

CSA naval drones, given to the Dominion many years ago would perform lightning strikes on the two large concentrations of ships at night as well, using torpedoes and missiles before speeding away once again at the crest of the waves.

It was a prediction of nearly prophetic proportions. Nearly four years before, a new small fleet had been commissioned in Australian drydocks, consisting of a carrier and a small contingent of frigates and destroyers. They would make their way up to the CSA forces near Panama, lounging the South American waters, ready to fight.

 

News Broadcast

 

 

A news broadcast makes it way out of the Dominion. It shows a huge room with massive pillars and rows of guards on every side. In the middle of the room, a huge golden throne  on a stone dais.

 

In front of it floats a huge hologram, representing Arnold’s face in his youth.

 

“People of the Eastern Empire, you have committed a grave error. Leave while you still can, or see the blood of millions of your sons spill on our soil. The Dominion is immortal, I am immortal. We shall not fall.”

 

The transmission cuts off.

 

Agoge Mercenary Corps

 

The Agoge mercenary corps is offered wings of certain Dominion laboratories for their research. They share no lab with sensitive projects. Their scientists are put through very extensive and stringent screening when they enter the labs and are not allowed anywhere out of them.

 

However, they are given access to Dominion resources as well as research equipment perfectioned through decades of intensive research. Whether they know it or not they are under 24/7 surveillance and the Dominion personal watching them analyzes what they, both to make sure they are doing nothing that could harm the Dominion as well as out of curiosity.

 

A deal has been cut with Agoge.

 

Australian Warning

 

The Dominion takes their trusted allies warning to heart and consecrate a few more teams to cybersecurity. While VI’s do most of it they use the additional human minds to explore in greater depths any creative holes in their security, while patching up older VI’s and tightening security.

 

Arabia

 

 

A single team of Death Korps would try to fly into arabia through the weakest defenses in the region, to minimize chances of detection in their stealthed Normandy dropship. Their target was the single large pipeline system that ran oil from the oil fields of the Persian gulf to the refineries near egypt.

 

Should they slip through the defense they would try to hit the apparently undefended pipelines in the middle of the desert in multiple spots, planting explosives on various overground pipes for gas, oil, etc…

 

Once all was planted, they would pull out and blow it, hoping to cripple, at least for a time being, the Caliphate oil production.

More research goes into modifying and making better bionic limbs for Dominion troops. This project splits into two different variants. ((3 pages, just small modifications to existing technology, really.))

 

 

The military weaponized limb, or BAA (Bionic Armed Appendage) which would be able to field one 30mm cannon as well as a small contingent of low-yield rockets capable of dealing with infantry and light armor as well as aircraft, if well-aimed.

 

 

The M.L.P, or Multi-Limb Prosthetic which would be equipped on workers, field engineers and even soldiers such as terminators to give them more armament. It is planned that Death Korps will have this incorporated on them to increase their firepower, strength, speed and melee combat effectiveness.

The Republic of Africa

 

 

Problems in the East, success in the west. President/Marshal Dcomba Siamono was frustrated with India's entry in the war, but was pleasantly surprised at what he thought would be a truly shattering attack: Instead, he had two fronts that he could manage reasonably. The 700 000 South African, 1 000 000 Coalition forces, and all of the Ethiopian forces would work defensively in Ethiopia, making the invaders pay for every inch they occupied. Rent in the scorched, deserted plains was payed for in blood. Another 400 000 men from all parts of the country are lifted there to reinforce the line.

 

The 1 950 000 South African men barreling through to Libya had their numbers replenished, with and extra 300 000 Zimbabwean men to reinforce their march under CSA plans. From Lagos moved the Commonwealth's navy, first to Greenland in escorting the launching of the Grand colonial ship's parts to space, and then quickly to the Gulf of Aden to reinforce the ships taking a beating there. The entire Coalition's fleet is moved east, and the ships currently stuck out there move to port and receive repairs, though their numbers are reduced effectively by over a quarter, with an aircraft carrier lost in the fighting. The new ships built in the south are also sent to reinforce.

 

As for the attack from Sudan into Commonwealth territory, the 3 000 000 Commonwealth soldiers, as well as roughly 1 200 000 Coalition troops pull back. Both are replenished to this number, moving as slowly as possible back as they hope for the 2 000 000 other Commonwealth forces press through northern Chad and down onto the invading forces, effectively flanking them. It is hoped that the men get there quickly.

 

The only thing covered by African Republican news was the success' Africa experienced on the battlefield, and there were enough to be had for people not to worry... Yet.

 

Ethiopia and the countries under her sway are officially accepted into the Republic of Africa as the Horn of Africa region.

 

SPACE

 

It had finally been done. One of the largest fleets ever constructed, with over 7 500 active personnel in space, as well as the largest ship ever known to man, were now fully active. The extra year of construction payed off, and then some, as 12 000 people could live in the city, with seemingly unlimited food consumption available for the current population. The dome surrounding the citizens is made retractable, so that when it lands, the small cityscape may possibly be opened, though it a viewed as wiser to wait for terraforming (5 pages) to be mastered and tried on Mars before such a thing happens.

 

A deal is cut with the NCR, and they agree to trade with this new, populous colony. On the colony are 950 armed men, sporting the most advanced equipment the nation could muster, though it is the 4 000 space marines and their fighters that are expected to ensure its safety. Landing would be easy, getting there would be easy, but worries were high. Despite these great numbers, things were tense until touchdown.

 

A city was truly being founded on Mars. One that could sustain life, and grow.

 

It's name is Elonisburg, named after Elon Musk: The man who brought Africa to space.

Confederate States of America

 

Morocco was for the most part in CSA hands, the Islamic Caliphate so far not retaliating. Tangier has become the strongpoint of the area, with a garrison of over one hundred thousand troops. It was assumed the Germans didn't know Tangier/Morocco was under CSA occupation, and they would be stopped in the straight by CSA naval ships. They would be asked their intent, and offer the troops a muster ground ten miles from the city. The CSA would help supply them if they so desired to fight the IC in Africa. Across Morocco, Confederate generals seek out key IC resistance members. Mainly the moderate muslims who tried to legally protest, they would be interviewed. Gathering a hopefully reliable core of moderate politicians, the CSA helps start the process of making Morocco free once again. Resistance is stiff from hard lines however, the CPNA pressed to keep the countryside subdued.

 

The western line was holding, and it helped free up Confederate troops. One hundred thousand men are pulled from the line, and sent north with the Dominion. The coalition troops would spearhead north to hit the Islamic Caliphate where their lines crumbled. Mobile Infantry made up much of the task force, using their speed and tactics to combat the IC. The navy is kept light in the Atlantic, most heading to Panama. The Canary Isles are the mustering point, loaded with ships heading to and fro Africa. The Gibraltar straight is kept sealed tight, the IC not allowed through.

 

The navy keeps building up in Panama, the CSA intent still unclear. They keep up the proclamation of neutrality, asking the Asians to give them a reason for why they invaded the Dominion. The draft continues as the CSA pushes for the extra two million troop goal. They would be well equipped in light armor, adapted for vehicle use. Always an army of speed and tactics, the CSA was increasing the mobile infantry branch. With an MI stamped into each soldiers armor breastplate, they were the gun-ho who entered the fight first. They hit hard and pulled out, and did it again and again. Using their APCs as cover as much as transportation, they were a elite light infantry.

 

WHALES were finished, and implemented into the CSA. Large cargo/transport ships with teeth, they cut down the amount of cargo ships needed. More efficient on time and fuel, the CSA could now more easily move troops and supplies across ocean. With a strong guard force, WHALES head to Africa with two hundred and fifty thousand CPNA reinforcements.

 

The new CSA project is to be Needle Rifles/Pistols. With compact box clips that fit into the middle of the frame, the gun shoots streams of high velocity needles. Also capable of shurikens, and other small knifes. They would be designed to pierce armor, the needles so sharp and traveling so fast as to make it possible. Special ammo secreted with poison from various creatures in South America add a deadly bite to the needle. ((mod needed for time/approval))

THE IMPERIUM BRITANNIA

 

 

The Empress of Britannia stood on the balcony of Buckingham Palace. Since the assassination of her father, practically invisible bulletproof plexiglass had been installed  on the balcony so as to protect her and future monarchs from harm.

 

 

She began her speech, at long last ready to reveal a secret that had been kept from the public ever since the death of her father.

 

"Hail, Citizens of Britannia.

 

Today, I fear that I must reveal a secret to the public with the creation of Atlantis Colony on Europa. If the British government does not reveal it now, it will inevitably be revealed by the civilians in Atlantis as it grows and expands every day.

 

Earth..." She pauses, looking at her notes as she curls her lip.

 

"We've found the remains of a civilization beneath the waters of Europa that was much more advanced than that of our own, thousands of years old... Older than Mesopotamia, China, or even the Indus Valley. Older than any recorded civilization of Earth."

 

The people begin to murmur to each other nervously and confusedly. In a single moment, the entire world had shocked as they watched global television, the revelation of human life existing outside of the blue marble known as Earth shocking them.

 

"Over two and a half millennia ago, a philosopher named Plato described an advanced civilization that lived thousands of years before his time. It combatted the ancient world, and apparently ruled over most of humankind before they met their demise in a great flood.

 

Perhaps this city was built by the pre-flood civilization spoken of in the Abrahamic religions. Or perhaps it is a precursor civilization to own civilizations; perhaps history didn't actually begin at the point where history is recorded. All we know for certain is that Atlantis is not a myth.

 

It is real.

 

Should God will it, we shall unveil Atlantis's mysteries; our scientists, already, have deciphered their language, and we are currently mapping out the sunken city. Hopefully, we shall find historical records of some sort that point to whatever disaster befell Atlantis so many years ago.

 

There are certainly mysteries in our universe that must be uncovered; and Britannia shall spearhead the world in doing such. We are the kings of space, and are one of the most powerful and influential nations on the planet. The Sun Never Sets on the British Empire."

 

The crowd remains silent for a long while, almost 7 seconds in fact. Then a single voice cries out,

"Long live Laura, Empress of Atlantis!"

"LONG LIVE THE EMPRESS OF ATLANTIS!" The crowd slowly replies, shouting one by one until they finally all shout in unison. They were angry with the government keeping such a large secret from them, but most understood that it was a matter of national security.

 

And so they returned to their daily lives, pretending as though nothing had ever happened as they enjoyed the new air filters that had been installed in the British Home Isles.

There is a revived interest in space with the unveiling of the Atlantis secret.

 

Of course, the British had to take proper percautions in the revealing of Atlantis. They remind all nations that the Jovian Moon Europa is a British Territory, and that any foreign landings on the moon unauthorized by the Imperium Britannia would result in forced removal by the Europan Brigade in Atlantis Colony and/or the destruction of their ship.

 

Europa is heavily armed and always on constant alert with it's VI defense system.

 

Construction on the new Orion-Moduled motherships, now referred to as Jovian Clipper Class Frigates, continues in orbit around Victoria Station, due to be completed in about a year's timeframe. ((3 Turns)) However, the HMS Jovian Clipper has been refitted and armored, and begins to travel with the Europan interplanetary shuttle convoys as it patrols the British possessions in the solar system.

 

 

Fighters and defense systems are always on the lookout for an enemy strike at Victoria, and defenses are even further fortified with extra LION cannons and fighters out of fear of a foreign attack.

 

 

Meanwhile, on Mars, astronauts have been busy fortifying their base and exploring the surface as they begin to investigate more of the ruins.

 

 

The astronauts have two primary missions: find valuable resources on Mars and set up an automated mining operation, and learn more about the strange intelligently made structures on the planet. Their current, flawed hypothesis is that they are remnants of the Atlantis civilization, the strange shadows being the shadows on the ruins being of the Atlantian people. ​

 

Teams of British astronauts and drones begin to look about the rest of their immediate area, searching the various ruins surrounding it. They travel in teams of two, a scientist and a soldier each, so as to maximize the search area. ((Mod Please on Expedition Results for Resources and Ruins))

 

On Europa's Atlantis Colony, the colonists continue to settle in as more and more people are chosen via application and reviewal by the British government to settle the planet. The colony is completely self sustainable, and domes had been constructed in hopes of being able to terraform the desolate Europa landscape under the domes someday.

 

However, the expedition continues it's mission, now with a larger amount of manpower. Scientists continue to travel to Atlantis, now attempting to do two major things: loot the city's banks of all their platinum, gold, and silver, and attempt to recover historical records from the libraries of Atlantis so as to appease the questions from the British public as to exactly what happened to Atlantis.

The British begin to assist in the building of the Argentine asteroid base, providing Churchill fighters (under British control, of course), scientists, personnel, weapons, and building machines sent via automated shuttles to help set up the base in exchange for a large resource stake on the asteroid(s).

Certain technologies are being developed for usage in space by the British government and allies.

 

The British begin to assist the Argentines in their research on Terraforming, attempting to speed up the project for usage in British colonies.

 

As the British government works with Orion on the Cold Fusion project, they also attempt to contemplate designs for a Cold Fusion Engine parallel with the research into Cold Fusion. ((Mod Please))

 

The British also begin to construct a space station in orbit around Europa, naming it Starbase New Capetown. ((Mod Please))

 

 

The British also attempt to create more and more interplanetary shuttles to supply their numerous possessions, modifying the new version of the shuttles slightly to boast a defensive LION turret and greater cargo capacity.

 

 

The British also attempt to create an upgraded version of the Churchill fighter, designed purely for space combat so as to counter the star-fighter construction and research by other nations. ((Mod Please))

Finally, as the skies over Britannia become more and more cleansed of the deadly radiation clouds by the day, death rates begin to drop and agriculture begins to do somewhat better in the British European possessions. Tens of thousands of soldiers, who had left the British Armed Forces to tend to their families, now begin to reenlist in the Imperium's armed forces. They gather in Iberia, as Imperial Military High Command considers diverting troops to assist their Italian and Greek comrades.

 

Permission is also given to the Greeks to establish their moon base; however, Britannia notes that although they are the most powerful of the extraterrestrial powers, they do not always have a complete say in the matter. However, there is still plenty of land left on the moon for them to be able to stake their claim. The British do, however, suggest that they locate their colony close to their claim of land, so that they might work together as Greater Europa nations to claim moon supremacy.

The Islamic Caliphate

 

 

 

Perhaps the war which the Caliphate and its allies were now embroiled in was pointless. Perhaps the Islamic State had already reached its fullest extent. These were the words of some of the Caliph's less bloodthirsty advisers as they petitioned him to make peace, citing territorial losses in West Africa and Thrace.

 

But Ahmed shakes his head at all such comments.

"Have you seen the fields of battle? Have you seen what is being levied against us? General Saeed disappeared without a trace from his own command post. Kutaiba tells me that many of the soldiers he is fighting are more machine than man. The Greeks, who wish for nothing less than our complete annihilation, now rely on a computer to do their fighting for them, and it is winning. At every turn we meet new affronts to Allah. Our neighbors are slipping into a dark evil, and it gives them power. But I will not. 

 

If we make peace, this evil will devour the last shreds of humanity left outside our realm, and then it will come for us, and there will be nothing we can do to stop it. This will be a hard war, yes. But we must fight, whatever the cost may be, even if it costs the lives of everyone in this room.

 

And if we lose, if a strong nation of the Greatest's chosen cannot resist the hordes of those who meddle with Allah's plan, then at least I can depart this world knowing that I did everything I could to stop it..."

 

Kutaiba retreats across the the north coast of Africa, slowing the coalition as much as possible. He deals with the appearance of terminators as best as he can, but they continue to prove effective, especially against greener and less hardened troops. Armor and Tandons are used whenever possible to stop the attackers, but are withdrawn when they appear to be in danger, if they can be. 300,000 newly trained recruits have been sent to bolster his defense, but due to losses sustained south of the Sahara, they serve only to replenish his 2 million man army. When towns appear close to being captured, his men advise the inhabitants of how best to resist occupation, by attacking the supply lines of the enemy once they move out. Perhaps insurgents would meet a grisly fate, but perhaps not: the Californians may be skilled in putting down insurrection within their borders, but they were a long way from home...

 

In Chad, the Islamic army moves to smash the African defensive line once and for all. Caliphate forces are concentrated to the center, and a million men on each flank begin to put constant pressure on the defenders, with the goal of pinning them down in their current positions. In anticipation of the possibility of an offensive push, these flanks prepare defenses as well. However, before the Africans can react, heavy bombardment softens up the defenders' center for an assault by four million of the best men the Indians and Arabs can pull together from the region. Heavy combat armor is far more common here than elsewhere, and the mostly veteran units are supported by thousands of tanks and 15,000 Tandon-2 walkers. ((I should reiterate that they aren't cheap or anything, 15,000 is just a ridiculous number.))

 

Smashing into the African lines with overwhelming force, they would attempt to punch through to the other side and swiftly hook around to surround the African flanks as well. If successful, their own flanks would then advance to try to crush the remaining African forces. It's a risky plan in general and relies greatly on the quality of Islamic troops in the region, but if executed well there is potential for a crushing victory, one that could set the tone for the entire campaign in Africa.

 

 

As the invading force had turned west in Sudan as soon as the desert became passable, a flanking maneuver on the Islamic forces would have to pass through extremely rough terrain. Nevertheless, the IAF watches the northern desert closely, and three Suleiman bombers make passing through the sand hell.

 

The Ethiopian highlands were a slight problem for an invading army:

 

But nevertheless, they would have to be taken, or Ethiopia would be a severe problem for any campaign intended to move south. The good news was that the defenders were a significant army, not simply a guerrilla force, and that meant that significant positions could be targeted. 12 Suleiman bombers, with their 120 drones, begin to destroy supply depots and larger encampments with extraordinarily high yield bombs designed to be dropped from high altitude, as all the Suleiman's payload was. There is as a result no way to see them coming, and in general they hit their targets without warning, seemingly out of an open sky.

 

The five million men allocated to this campaign begin to advance...extremely slowly. Any mountain passage could be an ambush, any stretch of road was probably guarded. Each hill is individually surveyed, bombarded if occupied, and then taken. It is an excruciatingly painstaking process, but the Caliphate has the men for it, and is unwilling to trade them for land at the astronomical proportion it would likely take to push through these mountains normally.

 

The STU shows itself for this campaign as well, a departure from their normal function of hunting down dissidents and guerrillas within conquered territory. They are deployed on the most heavily guarded hills, operating in the dead of night or in the worst conditions, and are reserved as a tactic of last resort when the army does not think it can take an area without unacceptable  losses.

 

In the Gulf of Aden, the Indian navy arrives consisting of 4 carriers, 12 destroyers, 75 corvettes, and 50 submarines. They box in the fleeing African navy, and force them back into the Red Sea, into the jaws of the Caliphate's stealthy, hydroplaning attack boats which have already carved up so many of its ships.

 

The African fleets are offered surrender, in which case the ships would be commandeered, but otherwise the Indians and Muslims would attempt to completely destroy them. If this was accomplished, both fleets would move back to the Mediterranean, to reinforce the Caliphate's main navy as the British approach.

 

In Greece, things are not going well at all. Hera, the Greek war AI, completely outmaneuvers the defenders of Thrace in every single engagement, seemingly knowing what they're going to do long before they even think of it. It tosses aside regular troops like insects, and every time that nanosuits are deployed to try to fight it, they are surrounded before they even lay eyes on Greek military forces. Disheartened, the Caliphate's military command in the area is forced out of Istanbul, and lays down defenses across the Bosporus in the form of hundreds of batteries of Qahhar cannons to slice apart ships trying to cross. The defenders of Istanbul fight bravely to buy time for this, but defeat is all but certain. In the Aegean, STU and nanosuit troops hop from island to island to secure the sea and prevent a crossing there, while the Islamic Navy engages the Greeks.

 

The Californian attempt to disrupt the Caliphate's oil supply was based on a flawed notion: that the oil infrastructure was unguarded. The Russians had tried this tactic, the Saudis had tried it, almost everyone who had fought the Caliphate in the region had tried it. As a result the STU keeps a close eye on all functions necessary to keep oil flowing, and the Californians would discover this upon launching their operation. It is a colossal failure, and many of these squads are captured and hauled off for questioning. ((Pok approved))

 

In space, something new has set off from Mecca station:

 

The Mamluk-class space cruiser is the first spacecraft made for the sole purpose of warfare. It bristles with both Qahhar cannons and kinetic weaponry, and can carry up to four of the Chinese-made space fighters. It is of course fully covered with Starlite to stop weak lasers, and flak cannons to stop incoming missiles and fighters. This one has been in service for about a year now, but because of the war it will take a while to produce more, especially since something much, much larger is also now under construction. Mecca station has by now grown to compete with Victoria station as far as size, as a result of the ease with which new modules are brought up. It houses several fighter bays and docks, and now is the main traffic node to and from the Japanese moon base.

And so, the research had been finished....the long awaited Fusion cell assault rifles had been completed one long night in the laboratories deep in Argentina's military bases and once the tests had been completed...it was finally completed and a large celebration is held for the amazing accomplishment done by the scientists for an entire two days the scientists had a break from the amount of work before getting sent back to work on the Fusion Engines and Terraforming(Alongside the British) more focused on the Engines then the Terraforming since the Imperium would be working on that with them. Soon the Fusion Cell assault rifles are massed produced really quickly, every open military and civilian factories put aside their work to create these grand weapons in mass quantities before being supplied to their soldiers. A video is sent to the CSA showing the fire power of the Fusion cell rifle as it blasts a target dummy's chest open and then burns the insides showing the intensity of its firepower. 

 

Once a sizable portion of SAF's army was equipped with these new combat assault rifles, nearly a half to be extact, they are pushed to the coasts to watch for any possible attacks. The Rail weaponry vehicles are also going quite well as they're constructed then deconstructed trying to fix any faults found in the tests.

 

Meanwhile in space, the British Imperium's help is greatly appreciated as they finish one of the first hanger bays and some living rooms for some of the mining crews before more expanding is begun in the asteroid's large mass.

War Post

 

The Islamic Caliphate had acted as the CSA had thought they would. Overbearing numbers to smash into the center, snapping it. They would think to turn around and kill the whole line. The Confederates and their coalition allies were made of sterner steel then to let that happen. The defensive line had time to be properly fortified, withstanding the immense bombardment slightly. After that it was down to the infantry, the Coalition in trenches, pillboxes, bunkers, and all sorts of other defenses. The IC would storm through razor and mine fields, and die in droves. In the morning things were looking good, the line was holding. But the Islamic forces were fervent, they kept persisting in dying for the cause. Unnerved, the coalition troops watch the Islamist slowly gain ground with each push. After hours, their numbers began to tell. The line was ragged, most of the place shelled. Yet the Coalition fought on, exacting a heavy toll for each wave. 

 

The Line was snapped in the center, Coalition troops pouring out of the intense fighting. The Islamic Caliphate broke through, and to their surprise met no resistance. It would be assumed they stuck to the plan, and began to fall on the left and right flanks of the line from the center. They would still be hard pressed, and soon enter intense fighting. The Coalition was trying to patch it's flanks, now fighting on two fronts. The IC got imbued in the fight, held static as they waited to advance. This was the time for the CSA's plan, to let the Caliphate become so engrossed in hitting the flanks from the center to not watch their backs.

 

As according to the defense plan, large portions of the CPNA had stayed back. Alongside their tanks, the majority of the troops were mobile infantry. Two hundred and fifty thousand men held back, as the other four hundred thousand were in the trenches. Alongside them were three hundred rail-gun tanks, and two thousand regular tanks. In three equally divided groups, they advanced. The first two would meet the Caliphate troops from their flank. Turning to face the left and right parts of the line, the Caliphate left their side open. Gathering the retreating units, the Coalition countered. The mobile infantry led the way, engaging the IC flank. Then behind them the main army would steam in supported by tanks. The rail-gun tanks would clear bloody furrows through the tightly packed ranks, or target IC vehicles. The last group still held back, biding their time.

 

The CSA had thrown the dice, now it was up to the other Coalition members and the Islamic Caliphate to decide the battle.

Republic of Africa

 

 

War Post

 

In the East, the navy is simply brought into ports throughout Djibouti, Eritrea, and Somalia, avoiding any more conflict as the air is filled with more and more planes. The coasts are reinforced, awaiting an attack.

 

Another 250 000 men from South Africa proper are sent to Ethiopia, and any hill or valley taken by the Caliph is indiscriminately bombed, burned, then shelled. Counter attacks are held on any positions that are deemed livable, but it is clear that any land the Caliph gains will be scorched.

 

The men of the old Commonwealth in northern Chad press down hard, 2 000 000 of them, supported by the 300 000 South African's covering their flank, cross through northern Chad, supported by 1/3rd of the Republic of Africa's airforces, attacking any planes coming in, and also slamming hard into their flanks. The feint done by the CSA troops is followed by the 3 000 000 Commonwealth troops, and 1 000 000 Coalition forces, hoping to break the sword moving west. As for Northern Africa, the 2 000 000 South African's continue their push west under Californian plans.

 

500 000 men from the Coalition forces are moved to Ethiopia, raising troops not native to Ethiopia to number about 2 750 000. Ethiopian's are trusted to lead these attacks, as they know their country best.

 

The ships sent to relieve the eastern navy is put in port in Southern Somalia, waiting for a good time to strike. Should ships be moved towards the Suez, the combined forces will give chase.

 

All planes being produced nation wide that aren't dedicated to replenishing numbers are sent to land in Lagos, and help smash the lines from the front. All old plane plans are largely scrapped, with any already produced being upgraded to either become, or near the standards of the Tali and Normandy class ships. These planes would work to excersize air superiority in the attack south.

"Approaching target location," said the pilot. Beneath his feet, Derick Wezowski felt the Normandy slow and grind to a near halt, far above the pipelines. "Seems unprotected, scanners show nothing. Go."

 

With a nod, he walked to the opening bay doors and waved a hand at his team. One by one, the seven members of the Death Korps leapt out of the dropship and flew towards the ground with their limbs splayed out like falling stars.

 

He leapt after them, landing on the marked spot in his HUD. His jetpacks burned bright for a brief moment, slowing him just enough to land without breaking anything. The impact sent up a small puff of sand, that quickly settled down as he walked over to the rest of the team. "Prepare explosives, move to the pipelines."

 

One of the troopers, a woman, nodded and pulled out two large sticks of explosives, followed quickly by three other operatives. As a unit they headed towards the pipeline a couple hundred meters away, their guns sweeping every-which way, surveying the dunes for the slightest of movements.

 

Suddenly, a dozen lights flashed on, catching them in the middle of a sandy plain. "Nobody move! Or you die!" shouted a heavily accented voice as three dozen heavily armed and armored men appeared seemingly out of nowhere.

 

Instinctively the Death Korps unit pulled back on itself, coiling into a small ball with the explosive carriers in the center. "See a way out?" muttered Derick to their sharpshooter. She had better eyes, more occular augments.

 

"Negative," she replied in the same unfeeling tone.

 

"Detonate charges," he replied. 

 

"For the Dominion," chanted the group. With a loud beep, the small green lights on the charges turned red.

 

 

The Death Korps was one of, if not the most fanatic units in the Dominion arsenal that still retained their free will. Most squads were on a take no prisoners, do not be taken alive agenda and this unit was exception. Unwilling to give any technology or intel to the enemy hands, they used the means at hand to erase the traces. They were also the only squad to be sent out to Arabia.

THE IMPERIUM BRITANNIA

(Short War Post)

 

 

The Royal Navy engages the lesser Caliphate fleet at Sardinia and Corsica, launching Churchills from their aircraft carriers in the fleet's rear, and maintaining an anti-submarine barrier with their frigates. High-tech VI drones, missile turrets, LION naval energy cannons, and Union microwave lasers would all be used to combat the Caliphate, along with the enhanced targeting systems manned by the VI that should, in theory, be fairly effective against the smaller attack craft.

 

However, Imperial authorities sincerely fear dragging the Indians into the Mediterranean War upon receiving intelligence that the Caliphate fleet is preparing to move with them through the Suez Canal, despite the Indian fleet being both outdated and archaic.

 

They would divert extra reinforcements from their reserve fleet in the Azores, preparing to dedicate many of their naval resources to combat the Indian-Caliphate fleet.

 

But they secretly hope that in doing so, the Caliphate will have to divert forces from other areas of the Mediterranean to attack the Royal Navy, giving the Greeks and the Italians a chance to break out of their small naval boxes and attack.

 

Support is requested from the CSA fleet stationed near the Azores, the Argentine Navy, and the USAC's Navy to move to assist the Royal Navy in the Mediterranean and support them. However, if moderate amounts of support were not received from at least two of these strong allies, the Royal Navy would attempt to ravage the fleet at Corsica and Sardina as much as possible before finally retreating to two three locations to create a zone of naval supremacy and control, depending upon battle success: ports in the Balearic Islands, Gibraltar, and Eastern Iberia.

The factories of Iberia have been pumping out war materials and vehicles such as H.ARM suits, slightly modified to boast LION cannons instead of the major weapons, from Project LION, Dalton Gunships and Cobra Helicopters from Project RAPTOR, and the newly researched, space-travel capable Yorkshire Dropship.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Various military units, starting with the 1st and 2nd Knights Divisions, are equipped with the new H.ARM suits, Mk. II, III, IV, and V alike in proportional numbers, to support the British infantry.

 

A massive military training program is also instituted in Iberia as the British Imperial Legion attempts to bring it's returning and newer recruits, streaming back into it's armed forces by the tens of thousands every week, up to parr with the rest of the well-trained Imperium forces. ((Mod Please))

 

​These war materials are shipped to Iberia to be employed by the Grand Imperial Army as it continues to consider joining the warfront in North Africa and Turkey.

 

Upon hearing of the launching of the new Caliphate spaceship, the British are extremely wary. All extraterrestrial possessions are on high alert around the clock, their defenses always armed, and various space buoys attempt to locate the deadly warship, and the HMS Jovian Clipper, armed to the teeth as the HMS King Charles was, continues to travel with the shuttle convoys, passing through every British Extraterrestrial Territory on patrol.

 

The British also finally begin on the designing of a new tank to replace the almost archaic Challenger, and to reduce dependance upon the Greek and German armor. ((6 Pages))

Mammoth Spacecraft Carrier

The role served by the Mammoth should be one that is quite apparent. The ship is one of the largest star-ships in existence, capable of safely carrying up to 72 of Orion's fighters in three hangar bays, though it would be an easy refit to have it carry Lynxes, cargo, or a nation's own star-fighters. The Mammoth has plenty of armor and considerable local defense against enemy attacks, but it shouldn't be expected to stand up on its own in a prolonged fight without support or without its starfighter compliment.

 

 

Lynx High Altitude Low Orbit Support Gunship

The Lynx is Orion's in-atmosphere equivalent of the Jaguar. Also available in several variants, Lynxes come heavily armored with large cargo or military capabilities, making them a valuable asset to civilian and government alike. Though they aren't capable on interplanetary travel on their own, Lynxes are capable of doing most tasks that a Jaguar cannot, and can be stored on board a Mammoth for transport between planets.

Starfighters

The SF-1 Arbiter and the SF-2 Justiciar are Orion's two fighters built for in-atmosphere engagements, though both are fully capable of extra-atmospheric combat aboard a carrier. Both fighters are conventionally armed, but will be refitted with plasma technology as soon as it is fully developed and tested. Though lacking in the lasted forms of weaponry, the ships are both elegant and deadly, sporting some of the most advanced designs in every other aspect, from nose to engine.

The third starfighter produced by Orion is not suitable for atmosphere, mostly due to its armament. The SG-1 Executioner is a gunboat produced to be carried aboard Mammoth carriers. It is armed primarily with a variety of short-ranged heavy missiles to take the place of conventional missiles in space combat. The SG-1 is certainly capable of flying in atmosphere, but it simply isn't practical in atmosphere when better alternatives are available.

The Slavic Confederation

 

The secured areas in Kalinigrad test sites for the zombie outbreak simulation has been reported to have 55% of the population has zombies, whilst 45% are uncounted for. This estimate of counting might be wrong. For those uncounted for are either survivors or dead. Hamski and the council of the Slavic Confederation was pleased. In terms of the offer to Germany, the ten Hellhounds they promised to be delivered to them but no research was given about them until Slavic Confederation's new offer is accepted.

 

The second operation was to be made, gather all the zombies into shipping containers that are transported on trucks by special agents employed by the Slavic Confederation. These trucks were to park up to the entrences of these sealed walled camps playing loud music and loaded with animal meat to attract the dead. Whatever does not go in them and anyone alive are to be killed. Attack heliocopters and armoured Bogayrs with bee drones as well as armoured vehicles were send into Kalinigrad test sites to execute the order. To the public, the Slavic Confederation announced that "the Russians are causing mayhem, rioting as they dislike other nations ruling over them and resulted to violence."

Previously opposed to any sort of invasion, the President and Senate did not wish to upset the people. However this war was a continuation of their expelling the Islamic Caliphate from Italia. Perhaps the people could be convinced to support a war in North Africa. With the securing of the rest of former Italian lands, the Senate was split in half. One party, the strong Isolationist-Italiano party opposed the Nationalist Anti-East Party. However, the powerful senator Da Vinci spoke up. "Our ancestors of Rome were great rivals with a strong trade state, the Empire of Carthage. With the fall of North Africa to the West a new state will be needed to ensure no aggressions are taken by the Muslim heathens. A new state, the Principality of Carthage should be imposed under the direct control of a Governor-Prince selected by the Latin-Hellenic State. This state will function as the third entity in our growing dominion and only solidify the roots of our great State in Africa! Death to The Caliphate!" The Senate resounds unaminously, all for a few extreme isolationist senators of Syracuse and Napoli.

The Second Conquest of Carthage

Before any landing could be made in Africa, first the Med. would have to be secured. Last time Italy and the Caliphate danced on the seas, they had been utterly beaten. But, now was a new age, a new time, with new weapons. 

The Scipius' Spear are scrambled in the Adriatic Sea, making to smash into the rear of the Caliphate fleet battling the British Fleet. Their railguns would be prepped and loaded on the way down, releasing hell upon the Muslims. Meanwhile 300 drones would be brought to the sky's. Meanwhile, the 500,000 Self Equipped Sons of the Eagle, 3,000 AG-1 Tanks, 500,000 Italian Republic Soldiers, and 800 Reclaimer Drones are sent through allied lands and into North Africa via the British controlled Gibraltar. They will meet up with the American forces and lay siege to Tunis. 

 

A Battle in the Homeland

The senate may have been unified in a decision, but the people certainly were not. A small faction is made known as the Legio Pacis, the Legion of Peace. While very small, the group has become quite vocal especially in the cities of Rome and Venice. Their shouts and signs are heard across the nation and on social media, however the Sons of the Eagle launch a new media campaign to counteract this new party, trying to shut them down through persuasion and propaganda of Sons of the Eagle liberating Italian families, sailing on the ships alongside the Italian Army, and gaining important values for the return to citizen life.  The Sons of the Eagle start the sub-group the Wives of the Eagle, to try and maintain a strong connection to the average household. The campaign signifies that the homeland of Italia must remain unified if it is to form a North African ally-state and halt any threat to the families and children of Italy
