THE IMPERIUM BRITANNIA

 

 

Britannia was now making a show of strength: the ultimate power of their space fleet, the most powerful in the world, was displayed before the citizens of the Homeworld. Virtually, of course; recalling all flagships from their patrols could be devistating.

 

 

The new HMS Endeavor was the apex of the British Space Ministry's military buildup in space, and would serve the fleet well.

 

But a new ship had overshadowed it. A HUGE ship... perhaps the grandest in all of space.

 

The HMS Windsor's Wrath had been completed.

 

 

The Windsor's Wrath was armed with almost everything in the entire British technological arsena,l, and specially trained clones from German Guiana were to man her. She held 60 modified Churchill fighters in her hangar bays, and could hold a crew of up to 300, including 50 marines, and not including cryostasis storage. She was a huge ship, rivaling the grandest of the capital ships of the other powers, if not surpassing them altogether.

 

Since the experience on Victoria Station, the British government had incorporated manual, analog override controls and backup computers into all her ships in the event that their VI somehow went crazy again and attempted to destroy their ships.

 

This being said... The two new British warships, two Jovian Clipper class traditional armored flagships, and 115 modified Church space fighters took flight and set out from the Argentine Space Station, the Minister of Extraterrestrial Affairs himself directing the assault from their base of operations there.

 

 

Their mission:

 

To engage and destroy the Californian Space Fleet.

 

 

"...we can strike back, in the same place where they had hit us." Growled the British Foreign Minister in response as he conversed between the German and Chinese ministers.

 

"And that, chaps, is what we're going to do." He had said before he leaving the meeting.

 

They had messed with the wrong nation, bringing down their treasured Victoria Station. It was obvious who had committed the atrocity... Britannia had been California's friend, even a loose ally. But this had all changed as they realized that they must be responsible.

 

A malfunctioning VI...? That could be plausible, but the Australian VI almost never malfunctioned without tampering except in a few freak instances. No. This was caused by something else... perhaps a hacker, or God forbid, a spy... 

 

The Empress had pleaded for Parliament to reconsider, to simply leave the Californians alone, but this would not be. A slap on the wrist would have to be made to show the Californians what it meant to betray the Imperium Britannia.

 

The powerful fleet and fighter flotilla engage the Californians by surprise, striking at them with the utmost ferocity. After all, these men and women were the most skilled astronauts in the world, and the British Empire was the most powerful force seen to date in space.

 

If one of their ships was badly damaged, it would attempt to withdraw from combat and limp back to the Argentine Space Station for repairs. However, it is thought that the British can dwarf Dominion spacial power, and strike a blow to the Californian Space Fleet whilst they're still gathered in Earth's Orbit.

 

At the least, they wish to destroy at least one ship so as to retaliate for the loss of their space station.

 

The British call upon the Japanese and Chinese space assets to assist them in their assault: to finish things once and for all. And they are answered, Japanese and Chinese space fighters and their cruiser jumping into action to attack the Californians.

Meanwhile, in America...

 

...the British government deploys it's 100,000 man garrison, scattering British troops around the major cities of the USAC. A statement is issued to the CSA:

"At the request of the government of the United States, we have deployed our garrison in order to maintain peace in the United States during it's occupation by Confederate troops. Brutality against the civilian populace in retribution for past actions by their government will not be tolerated by the Imperium Britannia."

 

The United States, being unable to negotiate for itself, chose the superpower that was Britannia to negotiate for it. Underwood had fled to the United Kingdom, where he would be safe from his enemies... at the moment. The British were very impartial, and they knew that Underwood had committed some terrible crimes against her allies. He would probably be tried in an international court later, if evidence were presented against him.

 

 

Britannia was, therefore, ceded temporary control of the United States to negotiate a settlement with the CSA. They hope that they, the CSA, and Canada can all cooperate in creating an autonomous tri-protectorate made up of the 13 colonies states that were within the Union, although negotiations seem to waiver...

 

Britannia also wishes to discuss the establishment of Quebec as sworn protectorate under the Imperium Britannia rather than as an autonomous province of Canada with the Canadians and the Australians.

Meanwhile, in London...

 

 

The Empress of the English-speaking world was kneeling before the altar at Westminster Abbey, praying in Latin before almighty God. Praying for the Americas, praying for the poor British soldiers who had had to fight in place of the CSA in Africa, praying for those fighting against the Caliphate.

 

And she prayed for the Great British Empire, upon which the sun had litterally never set for almost 250 years, as she had every single day of her reign.

 

As she finished, she came to realize that she had become great... Already, in London, the ecstatic British people referred to their generation as the Laurinians. The people idolized her, more so than even Emperor William. Parliament idolized her. Even the liberal media idolized her!

 

She wanted to build something so that her reign might be remembered throughout the Earth... She wanted to build a city that would rival the glory of London in her most favorite area of the world: The serene, beautiful Azores.

 

 

And so she would, naming the new city after herself: Lauria.

 

The government would steam plow the capital of the islands in order to do so, parliament promising the inhabitants fine apartments and jobs in the new city and providing them temporary housing on other islands in the Azores until then. Upon completion, it would be the most advanced, most brilliant, most glamorous city in the world. ((11 Turns))

 

Once the futuristic, high-tech docks are completed, the British hope to turn it into a commercial hub for Atlantic trade between the Americas and Europe. ((Mod Please))

Laura also commands that a secret project be started so that her consciousness might be immortalized for the British people in the form of a Schwartzneggar-like apparatus, although she would still intend to abdicate the throne after death if the project were successful. ((Mod for Time Please))

 

Laura also pays the government out of her own sizable purse (although supported by some government funds, of course) to construct an Imperial Yacht for the royal family of Britannia, useable also by the royal family of Germany.

 

It will have fusion engines integrated into it upon completion, and will act as a vehicle that the Empress can use to visit her colonies in space. ((Mod for Time))

The Argentines and the Brits begin to work on building a large interstellar ship, intending to launch a mission to Alpha Centauri B to see judge if life and a colony could be supported on the planet by sending a joint expedition to the one habitable planet that will be within reach once fusion engines are researched.

Finally, Britannia continues to cover the CSA retreat and give the West Africans time to reorganize and strike against the Caliphate. However, they will pull out soon, most likely, as their soldiers become weary against the fanatic jihadists.

It was also a saddening day in Britain... for their beloved Prime Minister, Lord George Lancaster, had finally died from radiation cancer, a fight which he and prototype nanites had been battling for years.

It now fell to the monarch to appoint a replacement Prime Minister from the Traditionalist Party. A strong Prime Minister would be needed. A Prime Minister who was well-loved and in touch with the common people. A Prime Minister who was respected by the world already.

 

And this Prime Minister would be ex RAF colonel Dame Ashley Philip, the hero of the first Europa expedition and the descendant not only of the Governor Philip who had founded Botany Bay, but also maternal kin to the famous House of Churchill.

 

 

 

Her popularity had soared upon her return to Earth, and she had quickly been knighted by Laura and had soon gone into politics under the Conservative Party in the House of Commons. The two were already fast friends, and she had already served the Empress well as the Minister of Defense.

 

She was the perfect choice for Prime Minister. And so she was appointed to the position.

 

Laura knew that she would serve the Imperium well.

The Soviet Council has just exited a meeting after discussing several things, one of these would be of the recent announcement from Indochina officially stating their embrace of communism. While most are skeptical to the true nature of this, many are satisfied in believing Indochina could be their first step into the world stage as a Nation.

 

Much of the Nations food is rerouted elsewhere, no official statements are made and there is no paperwork as to why or where it is going. The Council denies any estrange statements regarding the theories behind this case.

 

A Message is sent to Indochina, inviting their diplomats to New Stalingrad for a meeting with a Council Official to discuss trade and treaties.

Far Eastern Empire Short Post

 

 

Their invasion of California had been a disaster. The generals knew it, the leaders knew it, everyone but the people knew it. The people saw a razed San Francisco with no soldiers in it.

 

The generals saw thousands of transports taking the 3.25 million, vehicles, and 500,000 drones or so that hadn't died or been destroyed in the Bay area back home as the navy rushed south to try to evacuate the San Diego area.

 

The main Asian navy near America sat at what they hoped was just outside the range of the railgun sights as transport helicopters and speedboats launched, desperately trying to save as many of the soldiers as they could. 2 million were alive on the coastline above or below San Diego; they would be pretty easily recovered. The two million in San Diego, recruits that were seeing their first round of real fighting, would be much harder. If the helicopters and boats couldn't get in range without being destroyed, they would back off. The soldiers are given the command to fight to the last man, and to retreat with whatever boats they could find if possible.

 

This wouldn't be broadcasted as a defeat. The people were told of the great victories near San Francisco, how they had razed the Golden Gate jewel of America's west and as many cities as they could see. They were told of the heroism of those that returned from the war.

 

They were not told of the loss in San Diego. The 2,250,000 out of 5,000,000 that made it out of San Diego proper signed agreements never to speak of what happened there. They would have to take it to their graves to keep their Empire happy.

Brightsword Defense Incorporated

Brightsword plasma weapon research, known as "Project Caber" on official documents is completed. What is in essense a heavily-modified coilgun chassis, working similarly except for the transformation of the projectile into plasma. What results is a short-ranged anti-armor weapon that burns through it's intended target, however the extreme heat produced by the plasma prevents quick firing of this weapon.

The Islamic Caliphate

 

 

((Just gonna make this the Caliphate anthem, this must be the third time I've used it))

 

Victory. With existential threats manifesting to the north, the Caliph was elated to hear such news from the south. The Africans had placed their defensive hopes on a flanking maneuver through the Sahara, but it had been caught up in sandstorms and delayed to the point of uselessness while the main defensive line was utterly smashed. Now Nigeria, the heart of the old Commonwealth, was suddenly vulnerable, and the forces of the Caliph sweep forward toward Lagos, capturing or killing entire divisions of fleeing Africans in the process. When the African flanking maneuver finally did exit the desert, it would be met with fully three million Arab and Indian soldiers, who had finished off the defense in the area and immediately aggressively push the Africans back into the sand. British forces will fare no better, as the British numbers are pathetically small compared to the armies which have been fighting below the Sahara. Their small and separated forces would be forced to retreat as a million men march to engage them in Niger.

 

 

Several new varieties of weaponry have now been introduced, mostly in the missile department. The first is the suite of synergizing weaponry designed to overwhelm air defenses, which is not yet deployed, as it is decided that this secret weapon should be deployed against an enemy who believes themselves safe.

 

The second is the Sahiid missile, a cost-effective medium-yield guided projectile with an maximum range of 200 miles and the ability to be launched from air, land or sea at all three types of targets. It will replace most combat missiles used by the IAF and will be featured heavily in the missile batteries of ground forces, allowing both to phase out more specialized weaponry. Its greatest strength is its ability to track targets in all directions, making it virtually impossible to shake off.

 

On the ground, the Qahhar cannon MKII is finally deployed after years of development. While Starlite may still provide some slight protection against other modern laser weaponry, here it is useless, as the Qahhar MKII is able to slice through almost anything with ease and vaporize even the most heavily armored infantry. But perhaps the strongest trait of the new Qahhar cannon is this: it is portable.

 

While too heavy to function as the primary weapon of an everyday soldier, they have now begun to be distributed throughout the frontlines, mostly in North Africa. Capable of firing for up to 15 seconds before needing to be reloaded with power packs also distributed to the infantry, they slice through mechs, tanks, and slow heavily armored infantry mercilessly.

 

But the final new weapon faced by the Caliphate's enemies could prove far more deadly: the Janaaza missile. Like the most destructive cluster bombing raid multiplied by a factor of ten, it was designed to annihilate all ground resistance in a wide area. A single one could destroy anything under it in a single shot, to fire more would be overkill.

The Ethiopian offensive meets heavy resistance immediately: the same hills that had so severely held up Islamic forces now worked to their advantage as they needed to be assaulted by the Africans. The Caliphate digs into its positions, and weathers the storm, fighting with all the ferocity that the Ethiopians did to defend their positions before. On the first day, the Ethiopians make gains off of surprise and a surge of morale. On the second day, they meet heavier resistance, and their assault meets defenses strong enough that they are forced to fall back with no gains. On the third day, they again move forward with heavy losses as their army as a whole kicks into gear, but if such an advance were continued it would not be sustainable.

 

On the fourth day, the IAF arrives. The combined air forces of Africa and the Californian Dominion had made the enemies of Islam grow overconfident: so overconfident that they had forgotten who was true master of the skies. But now the western airfields were under Caliphate control, and many of the Dominion's fighters had gone home. To assume air dominance would be a fatal mistake. 39 Suleiman bombers soar far above Ethiopia, controlling a combined fleet of 390 Wasp drones and carrying a massive payload of laser guided cluster and high explosive bombs, all of which are dropped from far above sight, making it impossible to take cover. These monstrosities make the Ethiopian highlands a hellscape for the Africans and destroy enemy airstrips, while 600 TAI-TFXs fly with the Wasp drones to clear the skies and assist with airstrikes. The Wasp drones are highly maneuverable and contain TAIs cutting edge aerial combat VI, which allows them to work flawlessly as a group, luring enemies into traps and drawing the attention of missiles before pulling away at the last second with ease.

 

Only when the Africans completely exhaust themselves on the Caliphate's lines, only when they are sent running by crippling airstrikes, do the Arabs respond along with the still-present Indians, who have blatantly disregarded the terms of their agreement with the Order of St. George. The offensive begins with the introduction of Janaaza missiles onto the front, fired to wipe out the African front lines and send their army into disarray. Then the best infantry that the invaders have to spare is used to take hills along the valleys which contain the roads to Addis Ababa. Here again, Janaaza missiles are used extensively, their pure destructive power virtually guaranteeing that the majority of defenders on any given group of hills are decimated. This entire process is carried out extremely cautiously. Infantry is only sent to secure a position if it is absolutely certain that there is very little or no resistance left. Continued airstrikes keep the areas surrounding these positions pacified.

 

Only once the surrounding hills are secured does the armored main force drive down the valley roads, and in this way the Islamic army begins to steadily make its way toward Addis Ababa...

Meanwhile, as the Europeans push east across North Africa, they begin to draw closer and closer to the heart of the beast, and they can feel it in the hostility of the inhabitants, in the ferocity with which insurgents attack their rear guards, and in the increased resistance they now face from the defense under the leadership of commander Kutaiba. Another 1.1 million troops have been trained, and a surge of 500,000 refugees from the atrocities committed in Turkey have just entered training in the military. ((Pok approved))

 

Kutaiba's force now numbers over 3 million strong, and he sets about using it to stop the European advance--by inflicting as many casualties as possible. In Libya, the attackers suddenly run up against many Islamic squads with at least one Qahhar MKII present, and in their cases the defenders are able to slice up armored infantry and shred armor, especially with the help of Asp launchers. The minute a major force comes close to the Islamic Army, they, like the Ethiopians, meet the Janaaza missile. In this way, Kutaiba hopes to keep the Europeans well away while at the same point inflicting heavy losses before he makes any offensive. Sahiid missile batteries are deployed on the front, but as of yet are not used, and almost a thousand TFX fighters are assigned to beat off any aerial threat.

All this, however, cannot stop the greater problem: the Greek war AI, Hera, continues to rip apart resistance in Turkey and brutally exterminate Muslims, who are fleeing south en masse. In an effort to stall it, the Caliphate fires its nuclear missile into the atmosphere, creating an EMP. No humans are harmed in the detonation, which takes place over Ukraine, but if it were successful, Hera's soldiers or Hera itself would perhaps be shut down or stalled...at least that was what the Caliph prayed.

 

Meanwhile in space a colony expedition sets out for the asteroid belt I don't have time to write about this.

The Communist Internationale

Established relations between USSR - ICC

 

After years of stagnancy in the Communist Ideology, Nguyen Tan dung found it necessary to establish a communist foothold in the global community. The USSR was the only communist state aside of the ICC at this point, the ideology had to be preserved. Thus, the invitation to Stalingrad was warmly accepted.

 

 

As the Defense Minister meets up with chairman Cherkhov, generous proposals were drafted from both delegates. The media described the meeting as "Warm", it was always pleasant to find friends in hard times like these. Although the ICC pledges to support the Pacific-Central Alliance over the Comiterm, good faith and grand expectations outlined the agreements perfectly.

 

 

 

- The USSR would share research and intelligence with the Indochinese Confederation, as the chairman is promised to receive multiple of the future  Minh submarines.  USSR's project legacy was put in the hands of the ICC as well, as facilities are dedicated in the ICC to increase the efficiency and quantity of the project.

 

- The USSR would send delegates to the ICC that would be trained by the most elite forces the country has to offer, so that in several years they can return as highly skilled trainers for the USSR army. In return, the ICC expects the USSR to increase its military quantity so that it could secure its borders.

 

- Prisoners within the ICC who are capable of labor would be send to the USSR to work in the construction and agriculture as an alternative to the commonly used death row. This is presented as a more humane reform to the justice system of the ICC, the actual circumstances of labor in the USSR are left out from the reports

 

 

- The ICC would send medicinal support to the USSR in order to increase the population present. With proper equipment for factories and harvesting to increase the efficiency of the country. Propaganda for population increase is also issued, a 1,000,000 goal is set by the Comiterm.

 

- The ICC distributes their currency and made a controlled market within the USSR, creating a present economy with ICC and undersold Asian goods, boosting the pacific economy. In return, the USSR will establish a proper industry that will contribute to the production of Asian and eventually, their goods.

 

- The ICC and USSR will ensure that the Communist Internationale will gain a presence in space, working together with shared interstellar assets. These would also serve as defensive assets for the ICC's Asian partners, but it is agreed upon that the USSR will seat a chairman of the Interstellar Comiterm Committee

The Ethiopian Defense

 

"Sir, we're getting attacked! The Indi-"

 

That was when the audio cut out. Jemal hadn't heard much, but he had heard enough. There was no way that the last "Indi" said would be the Indochinese, as they were busy making alliances with the USSR. The Indians must have broken the pact. Jemal would immediately report this to Dawit, who was currently at his office in Addis Ababa.

 

Dawit, upon receiving Jemal's message, would write a letter to the Emperor of Asia, asking that he investigate the actions of the Indians, and their breaking of the agreement made with St. George.

 

Dawit would continue ordering air strikes using the South African air force, which he was given command over. The airstrikes would be targetted at these locations:

A message would be sent to the leader of Eritrea, requesting that they join Ethiopia in forming a united African empire with South Africa. Offers would be made of protection during war and a reminder that, should Ethiopia fall, Eritrea would not be able to hold back the Caliphate. (MOD PLS)

WAR POST

North Africa



The combined European and American push into Libya goes swimmingly, their push being met with very light resistance, or at least it would seem that way. Together the western armies were nearly unstoppable, pushing through the Islamic and Asian forces they met with relative ease until they were stopped about 100km from the Libyan border with Egypt. It was there that the Caliphate and its allies held the line, stalling the Western advance in its tracks. Tunisia finally fell to the Italians, and the Governor, under immense pressure from his advisors, surrenders to the Italian government formally.

West Africa



As the Germans send reinforcements to supplement the Coalition flanking maneuver against the Caliphate, the Islamic forces quickly find themselves in danger of being cut of if they don't regroup. As the forces of Islam push hard into Nigeria, cutting their way through the thick forests that make up the southern part of the land, they meet stiff but waning resistance from Coalition/South African forces. However, CSA and British troops in Mali begin to regroup, moving south toward the advance as well. The flanking maneuver conducted by the Germans and Coalition forces is incredibly successful, breaking their back and threatening to push into the remaining forces from behind. This maneuver breaks the supply chain of the Caliphate and makes their troops in Nigeria and Cameroon.

The EMP had broken the might of Hera in the region, for a moment. Though the Hera centers were situated much more strategically and designed too thoroughly to be hit directly by an EMP. Instead, the AI rests, licking its wounds. Many of it's bionic soldiers were eliminated or deactivated, forcing Hera to rely solely on unreliable meatsacks. However, it would make do. With what resources it could muster, Hera organized a single, consolidated defensive line just before the city of Ankara, which it had finally broken. It would be up to the AI to defend the line with what little resources it had on the Ankara Line while it ordered the meatsacks to repair and revive its true machines which would take some time (2 pages to reach fully operational fighting status).

Prior to the EMP, Hera had been given another directive, kill all Muslims. While unexpected, the AI understood its command. Though, it had its own questions. Why would the Creator wish to exterminate part of their own? Was one of the lead scientists on the Hera program not a Muslim? Indeed he was, so he too would have to be exterminated. And he was. Dr. Benji Dehwar, a Pakistani national who fled after the Indian invasion to the Hellenic Republic, helped spearhead the research and development end of the Hera project. Now he was exterminated, along with the nearly 55,000,000 other Muslims. Strategically, efficiently, and without any moral comprises, Hera exterminated them. All of them. Not just within the borders of occupied territory, but all of the Hellenic Republic. Any documented Muslim that Hera had access to was eliminated, and so the directive was completed. It moved on.

Ethiopia



The conflict of Ethiopia was one of a constant stalemate. When one group launched an offensive, the mountains stopped them cold. The entire front was one of inches, with one group gaining ground while the other lost it. As of right now, no decisive action is occurring in the Highlands, and this does not seem poised to change, especially while the Ethiopian artillery emplacements remain so strong.

Mission Report
After several days of preparation, and a hasty evacuation of the most healthy Russian candidates for the journey, 1,000 Russians including all major heads of state, were lifted to various Reclaimer facilities worldwide. Included onboard the rocket launched from Dracula Station, where the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and his cabinet were launched, was an experimental version of Project World Drive. Reports are to follow back to the Station about the success, or failures, of the World Drive. Additional missions, including relocation of major company assets, are to be conducted toward the planet Ceres.

After receiving the report from the Ceres Relocation Mission, the Russian operatives are hastily rushed out of the building before they would ask any further questions. PhalanX2 drones, the newer, smarter version of the PhalanX1 drone, would firmly escort them out and suppress the operatives should they wish to cause a disturbance.

A series of large heat signatures are identified near the asteroid belt is detected by most space faring nations. The heat signatures hover around the dwarf planet Ceres, which appears to be a bit… bluer… than it once was.

The Australasian Federation

 

In the Federation

 

Citizens of the Federation watched in horror as the war half way across the world from them picks up, probably resulting in the most civilian casualties in history. 55,000,000 Muslim deaths mostly being civilians the Nobility and Commoners were shocked as a result, it seemed that the Australasian Federation was almost the only nation in which its territories are unaffected by the horrors of war. It takes away focus from the Coalition of the Federation, Argentina and the CSA's victory against the USAC and seeing the new Lancelot Units in action. There was nothing it could do, its own military would be too at risk entering on any front on anyone's side, keeping up its pledge of Neutrality in Africa.

 

Progress in restoring the Canadian Government to its former self goes underway with success, the Federation pulling its troops and naval units from North America very quickly, returning to Federation territory, many of the reservists are allowed to return back to their regular lives. However the policy of national service has left many in the Federation with two years Military training, allowing the nation to recruit from its citizenry with a relatively quick pace. After the war with the USAC has concluded a Knightly Order is finally formally created out of the Federal Military's renown REX Knights, it is given the name the Order of the Federation, quite a simple name allowing those of low birth to aspire to joining as it has no requirements but skill alone.

 

With the essential collapse of the USAC after the brief but somewhat bloody war the banks in the North American continent are invited once again to Sydney to come to a nation that has similar financial laws and a lot more security from conflict than any other nation on the planet right now. With the USAC firmly pushed to the side the worlds financial capital could be Sydney Australia now. (( Mod approval ))

 

Diplomats are sent to the Indochinese Confederation, they ask for a formal trade agreement to be ironed out and have to offer manufactured farming equipment, refined minerals and alloys such as iron, gold, zinc, steel, Silver and copper among a few of the minerals on offer. No comments are made on communism that the Indochinese had taken up however the trade agreement is offered regardless. 

 

Research and Development 

 

A new project goes underway after seeing the recent developments from the Hellenic Republic, a new Operating System is required for all Mech platforms, realizing a long time ago the dangers of A.I technology seeing the Hellenic Republic had completely disregarded all warnings the Federation had given out about A.I. The Federation in some scientific circles were considered archaic and superstitious due to their views on the A.I. This new OS for the Mechs would be improve piloting, reaction times between the pilot and controls and above all it will focus on cyber defense, specifically getting hacked by A.I's and V.I's which would also block human attempted access. The Frigate Research Project continues to progress quite well, almost all the research done to make a ship the size that they plan on with it being focused solely on war being completed there were a few details they had yet to iron out. (( 4 pages for research to be done ))

An Insectiod Raptor like creature with Few mutation due to its limitations of only having claws but still having the Capability to wreck havoc among even the strongest of men. Hormagants my seem minor but they are pack fighters sticking together moving at speeds that not even the fastest land animals can match to tear down doors, walls, and men with the same ease as a human breaking open a candy bar wrapper. Several Mutations of various capabilities have been found compatible

THE IMPERIUM BRITANNIA

Britannia quickly arranges it's depositions according to recent events.

The Europe-wide EMP had hurt Europe, but Britannia had been left untouched, but the garrisons in Normandy and Iberia are prepared for the worst...

British engineers are sent to assist in the restoring of the power grids of each hit country, although they focus specifically on Greece do to their desperate need to get Hera up and running again.

A delegation, of course, is sent to the Olympics games, well-trained by the British in the same sports as last time, with EXTRA training in the sport of soccer. This year, they hope to friendlily beat the Indians at the sport in the Olympics. Delegates are also sent from Iberia, Normandy, Newfoundland, Hong Kong, Jewish Cyprus, the British Island Territories, and the Azores.

For years, the British have done their best to gain influence and power on the world's stage. And they had. Very successfully.

Now it was time to exploit that global influence.

Britannia encourages British rock bands, movie directors, actors, musicians, writers, and even video game designers to help spread British culture around the globe.

As such, there is a large outpour of British media and culture over the internet as Britannia attempts to replace the fallen United States as the world's greatest exporter of pop culture. ((Mod Please))

Specifically, one movie rises above all the rest: Brothers At Arms. It is a movie about American and British troops stationed in the Indian Ocean Territory during 2046, who were sleeping in the same bases during the "War of the Week" naval conflict between the United States and Britannia. Valiantly, they defied ordered and refused to slaughter each other, later being commended by both the Union and British governments.

Meanwhile, Britannia now attempts to invade Crete via an amphibious assault made by a number of British marines and CDF troops from Cyprus. They intend to offer the island back to the Greco-Roman government, assuming that they are allowed to keep the island of Corsica in exchange.

On Cyprus, CDF troops and British Marines also attempt to take Dhelikia back from the Caliphate. As they surround the base, they offer to allow the Caliphate soldiers to return to the mainland freely IF they vacate the base peacefully.

Bombardments continue where requested along the North African coast, British frigates and destroyers discharging both their missiles and their artillery, as well as high-powered LION batteries.

The British would also attempt to target the mouth of the SUEZ CANAL on the mediterrainian end with fighter-bombers and long-range missiles from a safe distance, so as to temporarily disable the canal to prevent possible reinforcements from entering through it. It would be a quick hit-and-run operation, and the British fully expect to loose a number of fighters out of the squadron assigned to the task in the attack.

In space, the British fleet breaks off pursuit. They had made a point to the NCR: They were the masters of space, and no one toys with Britannia in their own realm.

The NCR is told to leave Britannia alone; if they do not, they will face obliteration in space. If they do, they shall have no further quarrels.

As British troops regather near Morocco with CSA forces, the now well-trained recruits and returnees from Iberia move to join the British forces, boosting their army up to the size of a million men.

The British government desperately tries to raise half a million to a million more men from the newly liberated island territories and all across the Empire, though they specifically appeal to the Iberians and the citizens of the United Kingdom. They intend for this to be permanent so that they might bolster their army, which was quite modest in comparison to the huge legions of Germany and the hordes of the Caliphate.

Prisoners, save for those who have committed capital, heinous, treasonous, or vulgar crimes are given the chance to commute their sentences if they join the British Imperial Legionary Force, a tactic that had served the British well in the Victorian Era.

Recruits will also be accepted from Commonwealth of Nations members should some of their citizens apply to fight in the war against the Caliphate and join the Crusade, such as citizens of Canada, Australia, and South Africa, though South Africa of course has enough on it's plate, and very, very few recruits if any are expected to join the Imperial Grand Army from that country.

After forming up, the Grand Imperial Army, along with Othryian mercenaries, marches into battle to continue assisting the West Africans. The CSA-Britannia army now numbers roughly about 1.2 million men strong, supported of course by the proper vehicles, air support, armor, and artillery.

Finally, Empress Laura Windsor visits the Commonwealth Realm of Canada!

As the Constitutional Monarch of that country, she intends to meet with the newly elected Prime Minister of Canada to take a tour of the country. She is accompanied by the British Foreign Minister, and together they intend to speak to the Canadians about foreign relations, and to offer them a tight military alliance.
