Large scale civilian support begins to rally behind the Welsh Nationalists. While the Separatist Faction conducts large scale riots and whatnot, the Welsh population organize themselves and protest peacefully on the streets, a new political party, the Welsh Nationalist Party, organizes itself for the coming 2070 elections, gaining popular support in the area. ((I know you held them, but RP this happening prior. Maybe do another election map/election post)).

THE AUSTRALIAN TITAN COLONY



The dim light of the sun begins to cross the horizon over the Australian colonial possessions on the outer system colony they established on Titan. All appears to be normal and as usual the orbital defence platforms kept vigilant watch for the skies. Patrols had been ramped up after the Reclaimer attack on Europa in the Jovians. Three men sat silently at their computer terminals, a wide window of the vast expanse stretching before them with the beautiful rings of Saturn in their viewing space. They sipped their morning cups of coffee, imported from the SAF with whom they just formed a joint Union, and monitored the moon's defense systems. None of them could possibly expect what was coming.

The people of New New South Wales began to leave their homes, most of them going off to work in the mines and refineries that contributed to the vast wealth of the Empire to which they were so loyal. As they checked in for work, alarms began to sound all throughout the colony. Then the lights went out. The orbital defence systems went dark, and suddenly the air was filled with the whir of engines.

In the dark sky above them the people saw the magnificent Reclaimer war fleet. The people on the surface of Titan panicked, why hadn't the colony's defence platforms ripped the fleet to shreds? Why was their fleet able to get so close? The answer was simple, the Alexandrian AI Fleet Commander. It hijacked the defence networks before the fleet even arrived, cloaking itself within their own systems. It waited for nearly two weeks before shutting off, just hours before the Reclaimer fleet arrived over New New South Wales.



Suddenly the sound of the massive guns on the R.C.S HYDRA, the Reclaimer capital ship specializing in orbital bombardment, filled the air. Three massive tungsten rods from the Poseidon S/T cannons launched, slamming into the surface of Titan. The rods targeted most strategic areas rather than civilian centers and mines. The terminal manned by the three men was now the center of a massive crater, the entire defensive complex that it was apart of was now a smoldering ruin.



Australian colonists watched in horror as NIKE I bombers began to stream out of the R.C.S Minotaur and soon found themselves in airspace over the colony, bombing strategic targets to soften landing zones for the Neo-Russian Colonial Marines and PhalanX2 Combat Drones. Nearly 3000 of which land in the center of the colony, preparing to aggressively seize control of the population and fight the force that was deployed to defend it.



War had been brought to Titan.

A sick man dies in a hospital in Stockholm, the capital of the Nordic-Baltic Confederation. He had just returned from the colony on Titan after reporting illness and requesting sick leave to be with his family before the end. The disease is unlike anything ever seen before on Earth and causes the critical organs to deteriorate rapidly as though they were being eaten away.

G’day Officers of the Federation, this transmision will give you a detailed account of the recent events on Titan Colony and the surrounding Military bases.

 

“Another day, another dollar” I thought to myself as I awoke that fateful day, I had volunteered to join the Federal Colonial Defence Force after my brief action in the Andean War, the second major conflict I was apart of, I was selected early on for the Lancelot Program and apparently excelled in Mech Combat so they offered me double pay to defend Titan our wonderful Titan base. Titan was a strange planet, had water and didn’t feel too much different from Earth, only thing is everyone had to wear specially made Tengu suits to breath the atmosphere, not uncomfortable to wear but I hadn’t been in the infantry for a long time so wearing combat armour inside a machine which is essentially a tank and combat armour mixed into one.

 

I didn’t shave that morning, wasn’t feeling it and the other lads complained how we hadn’t received new shipments of supplies from back home, must be something going on, use to get them every few months even when the Russians Reclaimers attacked the Poms in Europa. Anyway where was I? Oh yeah I walked to the mess, time for some breakfast bloody soggy weetbix, not a luxury resort this base, you had to deal with missing out on some luxuries, life in a mining base I suppose. One of the lads from the squad I lead approaches me and asks “Sarge, you think the Russians will come to Titan?” I shake my head give a bit of a chuckle and tell him “No Corporal, its just a big scare from the Nobles back in Sydney, they wanted to send some lads just in case and we get double pay while out here so no skin off our nose, just a couple months off Earth.” his mate beside him gives him a pat on the shoulder reassuring him.

 

I took up my coffee mug taking it black, we’re damn near out of milk and sugar so I had no choice and I drank it bitterly black, not that I hadn’t had worse before, bush training back when the King was Prime Minister was bloody tough and we had to drink boiled water, wasn’t that tasty in my opinion but back to the point. Taking up the Colonial Newspaper I read about the recent space battle between the Poms and the Ruskies, bloody disaster that one I shake my head dreading the thought of them coming to Titan, these lads didn’t want to fight but they’d have to if they came down to it. Suddenly the the mess sounded with the alarms, it took a second or two for me to take it in too listen to see if it were the fire alarm or one for combat readiness, different alarms you see. Though I had confirmed after about four seconds that it was indeed the combat alarm, slow of me to be honest but we hadn’t had a drill in a while, the lieutenant of our platoon was a bit slow on the drills. I rushed up from my seat and began running to the Lancelot Hangers, made sure my lads kept up with me in formation I was shouting some marching song as we jogged to the hanger can’t remember what now.

 

We finally got to the hanger, we were the second squad to reach it out of the three squads in the platoon our designation was simply Kangaroo Squad, the platoon took names after Australian animals like that. The Lieutenant steps out and we all stand at attention, the Sergeants keeping their squads disciplined even on Titan, he started to brief us “We’ve an incursion in our perimeter, Lancelot Platoons two, four, six and eight will be on the front, armed with Standard Lancelot Railgun Assault Rifles and Anti-Tank and Air Missile Launchers, Lancelot Platoons One, Three, Five and Seven will act as support, us being Platoon Three, we shall be armed with Standard Issue Railgun Battle Rifles and our Squad Snipers will be armed with Railgun Sniper Rifles that are standard for Lancelot Mechs. Platoons Nine and Ten will be on Reserve behind our lines armed the same as the front lines.

Platoons Eleven to Twenty will be evacuating the base to hide in our undisclosed bunker one hundred miles from this location. In total the response force to the incursion will be Two Hundred Lancelot Mechs, Four Hundred Infantry which will be using the tunnels systems we developed from the mines to rush out and attack the enemy. I will say that all I am saying now is the truth, this is not a drill. I will also state EMU Units are not to be turned on under any circumstance, if it's the Russians attacking those units may be compromised.” the Lieutenant went on and on, to be honest I was kinda glad we were gonna see some action, the Ruskies may have beat the Poms in Space but I thought we ought to get them on planetside.

 

After what had seemed like a lifetime of mission briefing we got into our Mechs, Kangaroo Squad managed to suit up and boot up the Mechs faster than the others, we were combat ready and I made sure of that. We got out planetside, greeted by the light of the sun that was so far away from Titan, command at the base were using analogue systems to control the AA Turrets and Anti-Vehicle Turrets, smart move, we didn’t know if VI’s were compromised yet. We ventured out to meet up with Platoons One, Five and Seven and took our position as sharpshooters and snipers, these Lancelot's acted a lot like how Infantry would when we piloted them, we could go prone, crouch to help better aim and look down sights. Apparently the other half of the defense force had already pulled back to its cushy secret bunker that the Californians and us made, won’t find it on any maps or secret documents, bloody Californians.

Suddenly we look back to the base, it is far off in the distance, about four miles or so, it just crumbles, with a shockwave running across the valley, the base is destroyed completely orbital bombers shot a tungsten rod, must have recognised it as a military structure. The Lieutenant began shouting on Comms he was with us piloting his own Lancelot “New objectives, command in the Colony state the Russians landed there and not where the incursion breach said! We’re moving to the Colony, we must save it!” we all turned and began the march to the Colony, the other half of the defence force headed to the Command Bunker as quickly as they could, they weren’t seen as the Russians never found the Bunker. The Colony wasn’t far and we could see the horrible looking Reclaimer built fighters bomb the Infantry positions there.

We finally reached the Colonies outskirts, the Russians had to fight off the small pockets of Colonial Infantry and Police and hadn’t properly been able to set up the outskirts to defend themselves, we opened fire from afar, these weapons Lancelot's had were good for Infantry or Vehicles, we made progress at the start, I shouted to my squad on comms “Let's show these bloody Ruskies what happens when you invade Federation territory!” Kangaroo Squad all let of shots from our Battle Rifles taking out a squad of Russians and our Sniper managed to take out what seemed like a Russian NCO.

 

The Platoon on the Colony outskirts had to withdraw further into the Colony, their air support was getting close, the front line platoons shot a few of the bombers down, the Lancelot’s had proven their worth in some real combat already, outnumbered we were pushing to try and reach the Colonies centre, the Lieutenant spearheading the operation, moving between streets, between cover, us being able to cover them from the outskirts, the frontline squads had spread themselves out into fireteams, to give themselves more maneuverability and for them to support the infantry that are pinned down.

Against the Russian Marines significant progress was being made, until the damned Phalanx Drones came in. We could see all from a distance, fire team four was supporting an infantry squad, the Phalanx Drones just swooped down from the rooftops, firing at the Lancelots, one of the Drones managing to shoot off one of the arms of a Lancelot, rendering it ineffective, the Drone then proceeds to destroy the Mech taking its other arm off leading to it collapsing. More Drones drop down and finish the Lancelot Mech fireteam.

Throughout the Colony Fire Teams begin to go silent, with us seeing the explosions from where we are posted, comms were going wild often hearing orders being yelled just before hearing and seeing an explosion soon after. Eventually we saw the Lancelot’s retreat from the city in droves, we had lost forty five units, a platoon and a half. As they retreated we gave them covering fire, hitting the Phalanx Drones that gave chase, in the retreat a further fifteen Units were lost as they ran out of the City. Two Platoons of Lancelot Mechs lost leaving three hundred and forty Units left. All police forces lost and another two hundred infantrymen killed including our own Lieutenant in the retreat.

 

We made it to the secret command bunker, God must be watching over us as we made it without losing the rest of the Units. New New South Wales Command is either dead or captured, all surrounding Military bases were leveled by Tungsten Rods with their commands destroyed, all EMU Units were stored underground, deactivated still unsure if they can be controlled. All in all we have 340 Lancelot Mechs, 600 Infantry, hidden AA and Anti-Vehicle turrets in the surrounding hills and mountains connected via tunnels. In terms of command we’ve a Colonel, two majors and a dozen lieutenants left, they promoted me to Lieutenant I must lead the Platoon now. If this message reaches home, know we’re still fighting and that the Neo-Russian Nation is at war with us, we need help.

The Japanese Solar Empire

 

 

All supplies to the four million troops in Africa had been cut off the moment they arrived. By all rights, they were no longer Japanese troops, they were Caliphate soldiers - but that didn't stop them from using the Japanese standards in their camps, many even speaking the Japanese language.

 

The army, the Indonesian Second Militia Regiment, consisted of every Japanese-Indonesian irregular that had wanted to pick up a gun, and Japan had been pressed by its allies to join the war.

 

The Indonesians had been sent into a suicide attack, but they weren't dead, and that meant Japan was still in the war of aggression. Civilians anywhere near the Indonesian army saw thousands of fires being lit at once, every Japanese flag being taken down, burned, and replaced by flags of red over white.

 

The Japanese government had disinherited them, so they decided to create their own nation based in Mombasa. They had no tanks, no artillery, no navy, and no air force, but they had 2.7 million Muslim troops left, poised between the Ethiopians and South Africans.

 

They declared themselves the Sultanate of Mombasa, joining the Caliphate cause and vowing that they would destroy the Coalition and Japan.

 

The next day the Japanese Solar Empire officially agreed to the peace offer given by the Republic of Africa and declared the state of Mombasa a rogue nation.

The Japanese Empire couldn't fire at the people it once governed, though. That would cause a rebellion in Indonesia, which was already very possible, so they were left alone.

 

Plasma cannon research cuts off, and the land army maintenance is lowered to normal functions in an attempt to save money.

 

Robotics production continues, with almost 900,000 drones in warehouses across Japanese space colonies and Earth bases.

 

The Yuki-Tenno is nearly finished with refits, and preparations are made for it to accompany the British Space Fleet.

 

The Japanese government continues to tighten its grip on the Imperial Sphere, each semi-autonomous state passing laws closer to the Japanese Main, speaking more Japanese, and following Japanese traditions.

 

The terraforming technologies acquired from the Republic of Africa are quickly put into place in the outer Japanese Terran lands.

International Affairs

 

With Japan's acceptance of the offer, a team is sent to repair the lands of Tokyo, and other places affected by the disasters plaguing it. Relief is sent to the islands, and President Dcomba declares his happiness in light of the agreement.

 

War

 

The Christian majority of Kenya is asked to rise up in the coastal regions still occupied by Muslims. Without the leadership of the Japanese, the Coalition and South African troops attack the southernmost part of the coast, bombing military installments heavily. Though they number about 1 000 000 compared to the 2 700 000, African troops are backed by many Normandy and Tali raids on military bases, and it's believed that the grand Christian majority (Only 1 in 10 people being Muslim in Kenya) will see many of the cities turned over without resistance, and widespread attacks on the occupiers.

 

It is given the opportunity to join back, without repercussion, and is made clear that any who resist African dominance throughout the continent will be killed. With most the nation under Africa's sway, it is expected to be quick. (Mod please, and if necessary, I will add a map.)

Victoria thanks the queen for joining them at the wedding and great-fully accepts the gift with a happy smile on her face as she looks over the ancient looking thing before she blinks and slowly agrees with the proposal but looks to her new husband curiously for his opinion.

 

~Research and Production~

 

The moment the research on Terraforming and shielding is finished, the government almost instantly lowers their maintenance on many things that weren't as important currently like military pay; mainly cutting some of the more rich officers and commanders pays for the time being while the government sadly had to post pone their construction of the HMS Royal and slowing the Asteroid's mining operation in space as they continue to make efforts on stabilizing their economy.

 

~Economy~

 

The steps taken to fix their near ruined economy would be to increase the tax on the goods sold to the world by a slightly large margin, a deep sorry sent out to any people needing the supplies offered by the South American Federation. More steps are taken, one of the more notable ones being would be cutting army funding by a large portion, some of the soldiers being put into reserve and ordered to help try their hardest to fix the economy in any way they could think of while also keeping order in their nation. Small loans are given out from the government to the more notable companies in the nation to get them back on their feet, The Queen even going far enough to lend some of the smaller industries money out of her own wallet...or vault. Military research and production funding is, as said, shortened but still continued desperately trying their best to finish their current projects if only at a much much slower rate. The gained shield and terraformer tech is put off to the side for now how ever.

 

~Public happenings~

 

The civilians that had been laid off from their job after the economy fell where struggling to get by, though the pressure of tax was slightly lifted to help those who had lost their jobs and some of the companies started to get back on their feet. It was a slow process; trying to get back to where they were but they were getting there as the government tries their best to stabilize and keep the people well fed and happy, going far enough to assist the nation's agriculture side with some soldiers. The soldiers sent to the farms are told to try and help the farmers produce more food for the nation but not to be a nuisance to them.

The SAF has shown their arrogance and impudence; now it was time to punish them. First they had offered a peace deal demanding land that their boots had not yet trod upon and made black with their weapons of death, and then they cut the pay of their soldiers - lax as if they had already won. Punishment would come for them, relaxing in the wake of their royal wedding while the Andean people were pushed back into the mountains and starved.

 

Hope remained.

The border was silent, held at a stalemate. The Andeans were ceding land with little fight before picking off supply shipments heading up to them. The Andean air fighters had made little appearance recently; the mountains making it too dangerous to pilot. However, all was soon to change. Fighters and bombers were launched all over the front, heading downwards in immense numbers as they targeted fortified locations of the SAF forces. The barrage continued for an hour, air superiority held firmly by the Andeans. 

 

The onslaught was followed by a mechanised assault, tank formations previously held in reserve powering down and overrunning holes in the line that were made by air power. All the armoured vehicles power forwards, penetrating the defences all the way up to the lowlands before being turned back. Accompanying the tank attack was a full-scale infantry attack, pushing back the weakened and demoralised defenders and engaging a rout. 

 

In the city of Santa Cruz, where urban fighting was taking place, troops suddenly pull out. Withdrawing, they leave a token force to occupy the SAF attackers present there. The moment the majority of the troops are out and moved back to the mountains a huge bombing campaign takes place in the region; now occupied by almost entirely SAF troops - civilians evacuated. Dropping incendiary bombs in and around troops locations including the main city the Andeans prove their resolve by destroying their own town in their mission of destruction.

 

Ecuador is easily seized by the Australasian troops.

~Short war post~

 

The SAF government watched surprised and annoyance by the attacks continued by the Andean confederation, clearly they didn't wish to fix their economy and help their citizens and soon the Military funding is brought back up to a decent amount and soldiers are put back into the fight. This time how ever the SAF goes back to what they were always trained to do, defend. Large amount of troop movements are seen across the new 'border' SAF now had, many tank and troop transports have begun getting set up along their newly occupied border and AA guns are entrenched in the best of places along the border. One last try at peace is sent to the Andean Confederation, will they give the new border to the SAF and end this war so both parties could help their citizens through the tough times. Meanwhile the new border is continued to become a largely defensible area.

The United Soviet States of Russia

 

Early one morning, a research station in the eastern section of Russia. Russian and Indochinese scientist work together to on Project Red Skies. After years of theorizing, experiments and trial and errors they have finally succeeded in creating what they had hoped for. A working Energy Shield Generator, as the scientist would celebrate and prepare to announce the success of the project to their superiors, the power would go out throughout the entire complex. Chaos would ensue as several explosions would rock the foundation of the building which would be immediately followed by small arms fire. By the time reinforcements would arrive everyone within the complex is either dead or missing. The computers are wiped, destroyed or missing their hard drives. The Russian Military moves in and contains the situation not allowing any media within a mile of the complex.

 

Due to unforeseen events the USSR and the Comiterm will not be able to have access to the results of Project Red Skies until this situation is resolved and they discovered the malcontents behind this Strike & Fade Operation.

 

Groups arise within the USSR, protesting the current government and demanding to go back to the old ways of Democracy. The way things where before the great war. Troops are sent to watch over the civilians, soon the protests take a sad turn for the worst. Debris are thrown towards the riot police and soldiers, shots are fired and the protesters flee.

After the incident, 5 soldiers are dead, several wounded.

20 Civilians are killed and 40 and severely wounded.

The Media is milking this story as its widely discussed throughout the nation and nearby allied nations.

North Korean Faction 
 

 

Not much is known about communist North Korea Ever since the Death of Kim Jon-un. His successor is seemingly less fanatical and more willing to compromise with the other countries. It seems that the recent economic crash hasn't affected North Korea as much as the other countries as they mostly try to stay out of trading relations with other nations due to their independent attitude. 

 

Although since the crash north Korea would like to establish international relations with countries such as:

• The nation of ​Greece
• The Japanese Solar Empire   
• The Australasian Federation
• The Russian Federation
• The Nordic Baltic Federation
• The Welsh Separatist Faction 

 

North Korea has began researching advanced military technologies in areas such as armour and military performance on the field, this has been going on for some time and numerous prototypes have been developed for on field combat armour the project is coming to a conclusion and advanced military grade armour sets shall be deployed on the field in due time which shall improve performance on the field and lessen the impact from laser weaponry. These sets shall be expensive and will only be deployed to advanced military units unless funding is received from other nations.

The Scottish Purity Faction

 

History-

Scotland has a large number of immigrants, most are unwanted and are frowned upon by the actual citizens of Scotland. With this a secret militia group has been set up in an attempt to purge these immigrants and drive them out of the country. 

 

 

The country split into two groups after the countries money began to dry out from supporting all the immigrants that took benefits, The Scottish Purity was one of these two groups and consists of those who are born and raised in Scotland. This group took to purging the minorities from the Northern region of Scotland and are trying to drive most of them down into isolated areas of the Southern areas of Scotland. The Scottish Purity Faction's preferred base of operations is in Dundee on the eastern coast. The Scottish Purity Faction has decided to begin revolting against the Imperium of Britannia and strives for independence.

A large portion of those in Scotland have joined this movement and are armed with low tier weapons and little ammunition but hopeful to change as many try to convince the home guard to join there side and move for independence. The Scottish Purity Faction are moving forth to the coasts of the North in an attempt to seize water crafts. Again low tier things such as small battleships and less.

Autopsy Report - Mr. Stefan Agardh - T.O.D 3:00AM / August 11th, 2070 - Karolinska University Hospital
The patient exhibited symptoms similar to that of the deadly pathogen described at Sodersjukhuset three days ago. The pathogen shows similarities to a bacterial infection, but quickly becomes widespread throughout the body. The patient, prior to the rapid deterioration of his lungs, informed the team treating him that he exhibited flu-like symptoms, but did not find anything unusual about the illness to report it earlier. It is highly likely that others were exposed to the patient as he reported going out to eat twice in the last week. He also frequents the Spaceport just as Patient Zero did.

Nine more cases of the "Titan Bacteria" have been reported at our hospital alone, so far we've seen a 80% fatality rate, the only two survivors have suffered serious internal wounds as a result of fighting off the bacteria. The bacteria has been identified as one not of this Earth, but rather a dormant bacteria that hitched a ride from Titan. The bacteria sits dormant in the body for roughly two weeks, intensifying for a week before killing the infected person. Sodersjukhuset held a press conference this morning, releasing the details about the virus which they referred to as TITAN-1 (a rather silly name, in my opinion). Either way, the public is now aware of the issue as well as the world governments.

There was an attack on the Australian Colony of New New South Wales which halted flights to and from the Nordic colony there. We are advising the government to halt or quarantine all flights returning from Titan until an antibacterial solution can be found.

With racial tension increasing in the North due to the Scottish Purity Faction, the Welsh Separatist Faction decide to revoke all relations to the Caliphate and Eastern empires, with this the Welsh Separatists decide to accept the alliance with the Scottish Purity Faction on the condition that they aid with naval warfare, the Welsh Separatist also accept the alliance proposed by the North Korea faction on the condition that they deploy air support, infantry units and care packages to the area of Glyneath.

 

 

With riots dispersed in the area of Dudley, the armed riot group move North towards the city of Manchester where they arrive at Stockport in a few improvised armoured vehicles, again causing civil unrest and a few minor civilian injuries, the group would then press on towards the metropolis central Manchester if not prevented.
